"Give that back! It's mine!" "Well, come on - get it!" Dark turned his attention to a circle of boys, one boy holding some notebook above his head. This was a common thing in any school: bullying. The only difference in this was.. "GIVE IT BACK!!" A demonic voice suddenly cried out. A lash of energy whipped at the air, throwing the circle of students away and slamming into the walls. Only one student remained standing, and that was a little boy who clung to his notebook as if it meant everything. The rest of the students groaned, and that one student walked away, his back hunched in a shy way. Whether they are humans or the supernatural every individual needs some sort of education. Sanctum University is the one place for that. Discrimination is not allowed but, and if caught the students are normally disciplined. But because the University does not wish to condemn those from their education there are never any expulsions. Many take advantage of that. The stairs weren't too much of a hassle, but many people always wished for elevators. But elevators sometimes broken down and were often more dangerous than stairs. It would be much easier for the maintenance team to keep track of everything if they didn't have to worry about elevator inspections. Sanctum University rises in four floors, each floor given to each class of students: Juniors, Second Years, Third and Final year. The width of the school spread wide to keep the number of classes big enough for every student and transferring students. To keep arguments from coming security is often placed between the stairs connecting each one. Each floor has their own lunch and physical room. Offices are found within each floor, and only the students in the first year can access the offices in the first floor. Interacting with superior ranks is often unacceptable, but always just leads to being lectured. Most people aren't strict, but only when the third years trouble themselves with the first, or vice-versa, then it becomes a problem. Fighting within the premises is not tolerated and will be given week's suspension. The rooftop was as simple as any other school; a bordering fence that reached two times higher than the average height. Upon Sanctum Unversity's roof one could see most of East Sanctum. Sanctum University was the tallest building in this side of Sanctum, so it made sense. His fingers gently gripped at the fence, idling with the steel as he watched the students leave for the day. Reminds me of Grailsbane..only much less chaotic.. He thought before kicking towards the sky. His flames burst at his feet, his Dragonboard taking form to keep him from free falling. He kicked back on his board, and hovered above West Sanctum.

"Many of you still have complications fully utilizing your powers. That's understandable. All of you are at a young age, and over time you're sure to learn how to control it. Take me for example," Nate grinned a kind smile, his bicolored eyes every charming and entrancing as he gazed as the group of students that he was teaching, "It took me in a full ten years to get a hang of it, and I have yet to find it's true potential." Some of the students groaned and he could only assume was because they were expecting an epic story to be revealed from his knowledge. That would never be the case. Nate idly tapped the tip of is pencil on his desk in Morse Code, and one of the student's head jerked up as if alarmed. That only made Nate grin, and he slowly lifted a hand to point the individual out. "Though not an ability you have a skill to decode any sort of sound as if it was language. All of you have heard of Morse Code, and if you haven't it's a sound inducing practice using objects to send messages like this." Nate explained, tapping his table again. He seemed to do it for the longest time, his eyes never leaving the child he had put in the center of attention. It was a girl, a cute one at that. With a blush she looked down at her desk and clasped her hands at her lap while she tried to speak. Her voice was sweet, childish, and very innocent. "..T-t-that's i-it for today.." She said, drawing everyone's attention towards her. She meeped and clenched her eyes closed as if trying to throw away a bad dream. "I-I-I....want everyone to..practice their powers. T-tomorrow we will..demonstrate..please stop!" The girl finally cried out, crying. It drew a frown to Nate's face but he nodded. "I'm sorry, Dear, but thank you." He lay the pencil down and clasped his hands. "That's it for this class today, students. As your fellow student said I want all of you practice your powers, skills and abilities and tomorrow we will be displaying them to each other to get a better hands-on practice. Thank you all and have a good day." He ended with a smile. Quietly the students left the room, and Nate sighed. "..So young. I do like working here, though.." He sat on his desk, and to better understand his students began to review copied identifications from Linion. It also told him on who will be living within the school.

Mitsuki walked Misora to the university's doors and smiled down at her. "Remember Misora, come to my work as soon as class is over. I'll take a break then help you with your homework, ok?" She asked. Misora noded, "Right, just like every day." she said, and Mitsuki bent down and hugged her. "Ok kiddo, have a good day at school. And if anyone tries picking on you just do what I taught you, ok?" Misora smiled and nodded. Mitsuki stood back up, "Alright, well I have to get back home so I can get ready for work. Bye sweet heart." she said and walked away heading for the living quarters Misora turned and headed inside the school. She put her things away in her locker and sat in her class.

Nate collected his papers and filed them orderly within an organizer for future use and put it away within his desk drawers. That was it for this class until the next day. Being one of the dozen of teachers within Sanctum's academy Nate often had his hand full with not only several students, but several classes. Thank his body that he didn't much sleep. He locked his class door, and headed towards his next class. The teacher who would use that class next had a spare key and to protect students records they had to lock the doors. The hallways were still crowded and students were moving to their next classes while others were wasting time catching up on their previous days. His eyes grew weary, and he grinned. But when I do sleep..I knock out..---------- nate stepped upon his next room, spotting on a few other students already intended and a very familiar face. "Misora!" Nate called with a bright smile, walking over to the green-haired elf and ruffling up her hair. "How's my favorite violin playing nymph? How are you nature instincts working out? Your herbalism getting any better?" He asked, still beaming to the child. Misora was young but he like her company. She was blunt, and even if the news was ill-natured he couldn't help but smile. The first day Dark had introduced he had already liked her. And when he heard her sing he was amazed, given her past life. Nate was a teacher so he had to know about his students - all the good and the bad.

((Misora is part tree nymph)) Misora smiled seing nate, her favorite teacher. She wasn't surprised by the bombardiment of questions and answeared each one in order. "I'm doing ok. My nature instincts still only work well for trees. And I haven't practiced my herbalism in a few weeks so no. I'm going to ask Mitsuki to give me some more lessons this weekend though." She said and smiled cheerfully back at him. He was one of the few adults that treated her like a person intead of a little kid. She really liked that. "You look tired, how long as it been since you last slept?" she asked still smiling.

(Already an error. Hah. Edited my post.) "Then you're in good hands." Nate stated as he stood up straight and walked over to his desk after hearing Misora's question. "Hmm..I would say..three days." He answered truthfully. How could he expect her to answer truthfully when he didn't? If anything, speaking the truth was probably the one thing he picked off Misora. "But don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Now," There weren't too many students in this class, but he rather liked that. It provided less of a hassle. "So, tell me class? How many of you improved in your abilities? Last week was dismal and I was disappointed in all of your presentations..with the exception of a few," Nate muttered, extending a hand. He touched a leather fabric upon his table and linked his energy into it. He animated it, and it rose like a snake to look at the entire class with its thin and eyeless face before moving to the drawer, opening it and pulling out an organizer. He had been in the middle of looking over the notes when someone spoke. "I've improved!" A student yelled, rising to a stand. "At least, compared to Misora I'm sure. Plant life? Pfft! How lame!" He boasted, standing proud. His hair was spiked up and rather busy, color orange-red like fire. "I'll burn it all." Nate lifted his gaze towards the student, quickly reviewing the kid's note. Pyro fist fighter. He can't shoot it but he can fight with it using martial arts.. "This isn't about besting others...Ogren, is it? Odd name.." He muttered.

Misora looked over at Ogren and smiled, "Your right I haven't improved, but thas because I don't practice as much. So you probably have improved more than me, but fires not that much better than plants. A burned forest always grows back in a number of years. But a fire only has a short life." She said still smiling, then tilted her head and asked with a straight face, "But why are you comparing yourself to me?"

"I-I.." Ogren suddenly stammered, having no answer at all to her question. "Like I said, Ogren, this is not about besting others. And besides, why would you want to burn all the plants? You should know better that without plants we wouldn't be able to live and breathe. Hothead.." Nate muttered the last and turned to the other students of the class. "I actually like her ability..I think it'll be nice. Can you also speak to the trees and plants, Misora?" It was a student beside her, another male student. He was about her age, as were the rest that were in the class. Both of his arms were folded on his desk and his head was rested on them while he looked at her with a smile. "What do they say?"

Misora grinned at the boy sitting next to her that had asked her, "Thanks, and yeah I can. What they say depends on the weather and what tree. Some will want to talk about the weather if its nice outside, or complain about the lack of rain. Most are nice and will help answer your questions, like if a berry is safe to eat or not, or what happened in the spot a long time ago. And some trees will can be mad at things going on around them or to them, like termites or chipmunks." she said.

Nate not only listened but watched as other students looked towards Misora with ever curious eyes. It was always nice to see his students interact and learn from each other. Not all of them would say in Sanctum there whole lives, but it was always a fair share to learn each other for those who would live side by side within these grounds. Like Nate, Heyen, Linion, Dark, the mayor and the rest these students, with their unique personalities and powers, would also be the ones who would keep Sanctum alive, as well as keep it safe from the demons not only outside of Sanctum, but within the Northeast. He wasn't detailed on that situation but Dark had told him that if he were to see anyone leave Northeast, or did not recognize anyone to speak to him. That was always easier said than done; how would Nate know? Were they different from the citizens? Did they not were Identification bracelets..he didn't know. Sadly at the time he had not questioned Dark about that. "So be vary around plant life, Ogren," Nate advised, slowly walking around the room and placing a sheet of paper upon each desk. "Plants have a life of their own, unnoticed to people like us but noticed by people like Misora. Lets say you walk into a forest, and somehow you anger it. Do you really think that the trees would walk you out alive?" He was only trying to scare the kid. Without magic, or some manipulation of energy trees cannot animate themselves. Ogren had only blushed and looked down at the paper given to him. He was mad, but he didn't want to question or talk back to Nate so he sat down with an angry pout. "On the sheet of paper I want you to write down your skills again, and tell me how you have improved in it and give me a brief description." He did this every three days. Improvement was what he was always looking for and every night he would review them. He had a lot of students so that was why he hardly got any sleep. "Also tell me if you learned any new abilities, or skills."

Misora looked at the piece of paper and thought for a moment, then started writing, I'm part tree nymph so I have a connection with nature. Or at least thats what Mitsuki calls it. I can tell whats wrong with a plant just by looking at it, or what it needs. And I can talk to trees and a few plants. My sister has been teaching me dfferent plants and their properties, so I know a lot but not all of them. I'm not sure if this counts as an ability but I have a way with animals. They usually listen to me, and like me, I can't talk to them though. And I've been playing the violin since I was 4. Recently whenever I do sometimes a colorful note will appear from it and float up, then fade away. Its never that before so maybe I'm getting a new ability? I'm good at singing, but theres nothing supernatural about that, or at least not that I know of... I really haven't improved that much since the last time you told us to write one of these. I can talk to three more plants now. Rose bushes, crab grass, and this small blue flower. I'm not sure what its called. After she was done she smiled and put her pencil down. She looked around to see if anyone else had finished.

Nate careful examined each student as they wrote on the sheet, time to time peeking at what they were writing. Some let him, others covered their paper for whatever reason. Some people took a while to write, struggling with the assignment. Others just couldn't improve at their age, but he was confident that they would surpass their younger self as they aged. He stopped by Misora's side when it looked like she finished the paper work, and he placed a hand at the edge of her desk to look over what she wrote. Almost the same as before and that was fine with him. However there were things in it that weren't in her previous assignments. "Oh..you say that you can make notes with your violin, huh?" He asked, referring to her paper with a tender smile. "That's really neat." If that's the case maybe I can help her out with her plant life. Of course it would be on her part, but he could assist her with advice. "Misora, have you ever tried playing or singing for plants?" He whispered, making sure the conversation was only on them.

Misora shook her head and used the same hushed tone, "No, I usually only play my violin and sing inside." She looked up at Nate, "I'll ask Mitsuki to take me to one of the parks on one of her off days so I can test it out." she said assuming why he had asked her. Maybe the notes had somthing to do with plants? Or maybe it'd let her control them like the piped pipper.

"That's a good idea. Practice it and tell me if you begin to feel drained." He collected her paper as well as the rest of the students before walking over to his desk, filing them in his organizer again with a tab that said 'Overnight Study'. "Tomorrow I'll be having a hands on presentation meaning that you would be showing the entire class your powers, skills, or abilities," I'll also have to figure out a practice for them. Maybe we'll move to the roof..Hmm... "But as for now that's it for today. Class is now dismissed." As many of the students began to leave he took seat on his desk and was already writing on what he could do to for each student. Without stopping his writing, or raising his head he called out, "Oh, and Misora - tell Mitsuki I said 'Hi', and whenever she has time if she could come and talk to me."

Misora gathered her things and nodded. "Ok, I'll tell Mitsuki hi for you and that you want to talk with her." She said, then walked up to his desk, "You know you can always talk to her at The Dragons Nest. Heyen usually lets her take a break whenever she needs to." she said smiling. "If you don't have a class to teach for a little while you could come with me to it. She always gets a dinner break when I get there and then she helps me with my homework before going back to waitressing." She added still smiling, now with her hands clasped behind her back.
