Laying around watching the cherry blossoms fall, its as if this festival was made for Taiki. He lay under a tree just outside of the hustle and bustle of the festival with his paws tucked neatly under him. The gentle wind picked up causing a large amount of blossom to fall in front of the yellow kuniku. He sighed contently, "None of my stories could capture a moment this perfecct."

Shinju hummed to herself as she walked down the dirt road that would lead her to the block where the festival was taking place. She'd just finished watching some girls in kimonos dance, and was in a very good mood. Suddenly, something caught Shinju's eyes; she gasped in delight, her tail wagging rapidly behind her. "Oh, wow!" The speckled petite immediately ran over to Taiki, eyes widened with happiness. "I can't believe I didn't bring my art supplies with me, but you look absolutely stunning, sir. The shadows on your fur combined with the way the flower petals are scattered all around you... I'm really, really impressed!"

Taiki looked up at the petite. "I would thank you milady, but the trees are the ones who did all the work." Taiki pauses as he contemplates standing up. He decides against it to keep the petals in their beautiful pattern. "You are the stunning one here, the falling petals' beauty is dwarfed by the speckles in you fur. Pray tell what is your name?"

Shinju couldn't help but giggle at Taiki's compliment. It was a little known fact, but she took great pride in her spots; her nickname was Freckles after all. "My name is Shinju, sir." The petite sat down across from the larger male, smiling at him. "Did you come out here to watch the blossoms too, or were you just trying to get out of all the busy crowds?"

Taiki gave Shinju a lazy smile. "What a beautiful name for a pearl such as yourself. I am Taiki." He bowed his head low. "To answer your question, I would say yes to both. It is much easier to study crowds if you are on the outside looking in and with no one around the blossoms are less likely to be disturbed." Taiki nodded slightly at Shinju, "Why have you come to the outskirts?"

"Oh, nothing much." The petite smiled. "I always go on walks whenever I'm looking for inspiration. This festival is just perfect; around every corner it's like there some pretty sight just waiting for me to find it. When I get back to the art studio, I'll paint everything that really stood out." Shinju's head tilted to the side slightly at the mention of studying. "Study the crowds? Are you trying to become some sort of scholar?"

"Heh, Although scholar is close to my chosen profession, it is incorrect. I am a storyteller. I'm studying the crowd to see if there is anything of importance to record." Taiki shifted his paws to the side in a small gesture of a topic change. "You paint? I have never heard of a kuniku painting."

Shinju went along with the subject change, not thinking much of it at all. "I think I might be the first to ever try and succeed, honestly." Her tail wagged with pride. "Of course I'm not as good as a human, but I've spent years working on painting. I'd heard the art in Honshu was so spectacular that I left Kyushu when I was just a pup to come and learn how to paint here. If it's not too troublesome I could take you back to the art studio where I live and show you some of my paintings."

"I would love to see your paintings if you let me." Taiki's tail began to wag in excitement. He started to stand up slowly so as to disturb the cherry blossoms as little as possible, but Taiki shook with anticipation. "Would it be alright if I recorded your story for history? The Tale of the First Kuniku Painter would be important for future generations."

Sorry this took so long. D: The two Kuniku weren't alone under the cherry trees. A little girl has wandered away from the main festival and was watching them, tears at the corners of her eyes. She was quite lost, having left her mothers side and while the sight of two Kuniku was enough to keep the tears at bay for the moment, sooner or later she was going to start bawling. The child wandered closer, making grabby hands at the pretty 'doggies'. As two kind Kuniku, you wouldn't walk away from a lost child, right? So what are you going to do to make make sure she doesn't start crying? Quote: A) Walk over slowly with your tail wagging B) Offer her the branch of a cherry blossom tree. C) Bounce to her side and lick her face

(Oh goodness, I am so sorry! I totally forgot about this! Shinju picks Choice C! Lol, a little modified though 'cause she's tiny. x3)
Shinju beamed, bouncing up and down a bit on her paws. "Oh, that would be great! Please, go ahead and tell whoever you want! I'd love it if people came to the art studio to visit me." The little petite looked very happy, until she noticed the small child all by herself. "Oh, I wonder what's wrong? A human that small shouldn't be all alone." Shinju practically danced her way over to the child, making little hops and jumps as she playfully came over and licked the girl's hands. "Are you all by yourself, little one?" Shinju knew of course that humans couldn't understand her, but she dfigured that by looking up into the girl's face with her tail wagging, she'd come across as trying to be friendly.

Taiki was ready to run to the studio, but stopped when he saw the little girl. He wasn't quite sure what to do and before he could make a decision Shinju approached the little girl first. Not wanting to overwhelm the child, Taiki walked up slowly behind Shinju, wagging his tail, trying to seem as nice as possible.
