In about eight hours or so I'm going to be leaving for a roadtrip to Kentucky for the Knob Creek shootout whatever you wish to call it. I'm going to be gone for a week or so, but if I can I'll come back here and assure y'all that I'm (hopefully) still alive. Once I'm back nice and safe in New York, I'll post pics of the trip here.

To an extent. Everyone was way nice & polite (save for one jerk on the interstate in Ohio), but Shepherdsville (the place where the motel was) is a really boring place and lucky us our room was directly facing the interstate.

I didn't post pics & s**t? Damn, I feel bad. (and tired. Might go to bed after this.)

I like the "Hell is Right" sign. We've got people who put similar ones in their fields in some of the really rural parts around here. It's like a mini bible belt.

And I have never heard of this Knob Creek Shootout, but it appears it might be my heaven. Except for the fact that I still don't have my firearms safety course and license.

I'm really quite jealous... crying

The have another one sometime in the fall. And you don't need a shooting license to shoot, just a photo ID that says you're at least 18 (or was it 16?) and you have to sign a waver. That's pretty much it (besides the money you'll need to shoot someone's gun of course.)
