A man falls in love with a beautiful geisha girl named Ginko, after the tree and its beauty.
Background:
Traditional Japanese views of sex were very relaxed. It was a society that embraced sexual delights and where men were not constrained to be faithful to their wives. In fact it was socially acceptable to be in love with one's wife, but only what was considered a "professional" woman. For sexual enjoyment and romantic attachment, men did not go to their wives, but to courtesans. In order to maintain this profession, the Japanese government created "pleasure quarters" where the courtesans could reside and work and men could go to relax and enjoy the entertainment. These pleasure quarters quickly became glamorous entertainment centers that offered far more that just sex. The highly accomplished courtesans of these districts entertained their clients by dancing, singing, and playing music. Some were even renowned poets and calligraphers. Gradually, they all became specialized and the new profession, purely of entertainment, arose. It was near the turn of the eighteenth century that the first entertainers of the pleasure quarters, called geisha, appeared.Our History:
Ginko the beautiful girl working at a Japanesse pleasure quarters only few know about. She works day and night to earn money for her dog Chiko, a Shiba Inu, who is sick and is unable to move her front left leg due to a car accident. She relizes a man has fallen in love with her, which is both good and bad. Good because he comes in more offten, bad because he wants her to be his wife and take her away from her job. We will just have to find out what happens next...Profile:

Personality: Sometimes quiet, kind, mestevious. He enjoys life and thinks of it in s strange, and sometimes percepted wierd, way. He heard of the geisha house, which helped men de-stress.
History: A young, handsome (and once rich) young man at the age of twenty one, married out of highechool to his girlfriend. Shortly after four years, she filed for divourse after being courted by another, more rich man and ran her 'high school sweety' high and dry. Their divorse went through after a week.Rules:

Opening Post: ~Ginko~
Ginko laid down in her room of the pleasure quarters and sighed. She hadn't seen anyone today and it was getting to be 8:00 p.m. which is when everyone was coming in. She sipped on a cup of the the people provided her with and sighed again "If i dont get any work today ill never be able to make my payments for Chiko this month..." she said, brushing off her kimono. She looked at the clock again and placed her head on her hand so it was propped up enough to see anyone coming in.

*Belphegor* Belphegor looked up at the sign with florescent lights. Had to be the place. With his hands in his pockets he walked in and was greeted by two rows of kimono wearing young woman who said in union 'welcome!' and asked him to 'please' sit and handed him a big paper with a bunch of beautiful woman and their names below their picture. He ran his eyes across the pictures. few were is age and some were kugers, in their fifties and still beautiful and young. He eyed the first row, which had the teenage girls on them. He stared at one picture that had the name 'ginko' attached to it. She looked like a sakira flower, thats what he thought.It said she was 18. So young and beautiful...Hmm..A few minutes of looking at everything again, a woman (who looked like the manager) walked over and asked if he had made his choice. He didn't want anyone to remind him of her...so he pointed to the cute ginko girl. "She available?" He asked and the woman smiles. "Ginko? Is she your choice?" Belphegor mentally rolled his eyes. Didn't he just ask for her? She shouldn't talk o her guests like they were four year olds! this lady was annoying, he concluded automaticly. She probobly thought she was better than everyone elts, [as if]. "Yes, ginko please..." He said and the excited woman scutttled off in her geisha shoes as he was to 'please wait for a moment for the preperations to be complete dear sir'. That lady made him almost pissed off...but he waited, none the less.

~Ginko~ Ginko looked up and the three women getting her room set up for a visitor. She then motioned for them to leave and they did as they were told. She brushed off her Geisha dress and she fixed up the smallest thing normal people wouldn't normally notice. She then waited for the man to walk in, She had no idea how old he was, or how he looked, she hoped he was somewhat good looking and not too old....

*Belphegor* The annoying lady had reappeared and asked him to follow her. He got up, shoving his hands into his pockets out of habbit, and followed the woan. She led him down a hallway and to a door, which she stepped aside and bowed politely. He couldn't wait to be away from the bizzar woman so he stepped inside immedeatly and spotted the sakura-girl. She probobly didn't know he had named her that . . . maby he'd tell her..if he got to it. She was sitting strait and relaxed, smiling at him. He smiled back. "Ginko...nice to meet you....your alot more beautiful in person than on a 2 by 2 photo on a poster..." He told her, standing there. Was he suppose to sit down? He didn't know..he'd never been to a geisha place before.

~Ginko~ Ginko smiled at him and sipped on a glass of tea they set out for her "Thank you, Im glad that I can spend this tie with you, and what is your name?" she asked in a sweet tone. She then stood up and sat next to him resting her head on his shoulder. "And what might your name be?" she asked, looking into his grey eyes. She was glad he was cute and he seemed to be about her age. She set her cup down and continued resting her head on his shoulder...

*Belphegor*(I guess he sat down then?) He blinked as she thanked him. "My name is belphegor...." He said before he felt her head rest on his sholder. He turned his head to look at her. She seemed nice, the sakura girl . . .the flower on her hair tickled the part of his sholder that wasn't covered up by his shirt. "So...what am I...what are we supose to do here...I was told I should go here to help relieve my stress...but I've never been to one so I'm not quite sure how it works . . . "

~Ginko~ Ginko smiled "Its nice to meet you Belphegor, I was afraid you would be some old guy... But im glad that your young and cute". She then reached under the table and pulled out what looked like a menu. On it it read "Singing, dancing, music, striping, sex" Ginko looked at him as he read over the chart. She then put her head back on his shoulder. It was the most comfortable spot, other than his lap, and she didn't know if it was to soon to put her head in his lap, so she remained on his shoulder...

*Belphegor* Belphegor listened and did blush slitly as she read the. . . last part of the 'menu'. " So thats what the ment when they told me to relieve my stress...the bast..-...jerks.." He corrected himself. He didn't feel right to curse infront of the sakura girl. He reached for the paper. He honestly wouldn''t think of it as a 'menu' because she wasn't a thing, or food, she was a person and he thought thinking otherwise was just sick. "Sorry...my...so called friends...well..lets just say I've been tricked...caught in some kind of joke forged by them...Would you actually do this stuff? for money? Aren't you better than this? I don't mean to sound judgemental but people should have only good intentions for working in a place that advertises...this..." He was a male and the thoughts did eventually enter his mind with the 'options' on the 'paper'. He shook his head. He couldn't ask for that of sakura girl.Not to mention tomorrow he would be divorced anyway and things like that wwere the farthest things from his mind right now. She seemed...so innocent, like the sakura flower...anyway "You can sing? and dance?" He asked coriously.

~Ginko~ Ginko's smile turned into a frown as she sighed and looked up at him "My dog, Chiko, is sick and on top of that, he got his leg ran over by a truck, i work here to pay off his hospital bills. And I work here because no other place would hire me, I took geisha school for my whole life..." she held back her tears and then stood up and kissed his cheek "So whats your story hun?' she asked, she then sat down behind him, rubbing his exposed shoulders.

*Belphegor* Belphegor felt bad for her dog, hurt and injured. He remembered when his cat got run over, but was killed. "At least chiko's alive...my kitten pumpkin, . . . he got un over by an eighteen wheeler when I was eight." He looked up at geiko and lifted his hand to wipe away her tears. He blushed slitly when she went and kissed his cheek and asked for his life story. He truly didn;'t want to talk about it but maby she didn't want to talk about her sick and hurt chiko...He smiled though, when she rubbed his sholders. He had worked at a carpenting job last week and his sholders were the worst. Lets see....there was a teenage boy . . .seventeen years of age, who Had fallen for this girl he had knew for his whole life....He loved her somewhat blindly, if you asked his friends but he was divoted....He cared for her so much and seeing her everyday made his lonly heart feel better. If he had opened his eyes he would have seen her heartless, selfish side and only when the boys grandfather died and left the boy money did her attention turn to him..." He paused, taking a deep breath. They dated for about 1 and a half years, and when thet boy turned eigteen, he bought her a ring...not just any ring...he wanted her to have the most beautiful ring that would make her glow...he asked her the question and she agree'd....but..." His voice quieted somewhat, but he continued onchest was tighteninainful part of the story was comming up. " Remember when I told you the young boy loved her blindly? Well, according to his friend at least....well..you see...for a while the boy didnt realize that she had found someone who raveshed her in even more expenside gifts aand affection than the boy did....so what did she do?" He looked at her and smiled. "SheTook herself shopping then demanded a devorce, for she believed that he should fight for her love...but the boy wanted her to be happy...so...with that...she took as much money as she could...filed the devorce...and by tomorrow, the girl will be happy with her new sutior...." He tilted his head and closed his eyes, grinning at her. "The end..."

~Ginko~ Ginko wrapped her arms around his neck, without noticing she accidentally slipped her hands down his shirt, she hugged him "I'm so sorry, that girl must not have been the right one to leave you like that... If it were me, i would love you till death do us part....Just in theory...." she said with a smile, still not noticing her hands down his shirt. She nuzzled his neck and smelled his hair, the scent of mint leaves filled her nose....

*Belphegor* He was suprised that she had felt sorry for him. But it made him feel better for the hug. His lips tugged into a gentle smile when she nuzzled his neck and told him 'if it were her'. "That was kind...thank you....eh?" He looked down to her hands in his shirt, which he chuckled at, but he didn't remove them...he was a guy after all...Instead he desided to tease her. "Your sweet. But you don't need to touch me . . . although I am flattered that you would...I'm not all that great through...but thanks...you make me feel better about myself." His cheeks showed a slite pink. "How about I buy something so I can help chiko...lets see...whats the most expensive. . .thing . . .on. . "His voice drifted off...the most expensive thing on there was...that..and he wouldn't do it... "Maby second most..." Nope...it was titled 'stripping' and he wouldn't pay her to do that either... "Perhaps just singing, dancing and music...." He said, rubbing his left sholder. It was still in splintering pain.

~Ginko~ Ginko blushed and took her hands back "I-im sorry Belphegor-kun.." she said, she then pointed to the sheet, and beside the three he mentioned in red ink it said "Expired" She then continued to rub his shoulders "I can tell you don't like women that much in a sexual way... But this place wasn't called the Pleasure Quarters for nothing..." she said with a laugh. Belphegor was funny, and he would have made her laugh even on the saddest day....

*Belphegor* He stared in disbelief. "Insanity...Hmmm...Well...uh..." He was somewhat lost for words...he had to buy something but he knew he wasn't going to buy the first one... "I could also pay you if you could keep massaging my sholders...I had a rough work week..." He asked, smiling. What was he going to do? Maby pay for a few kisses...but he couldn't pay for things like that...it was as if he was paying for her body...and it was wrong...thats how he was grown up on. His grandfather use to tell hi to treach woman with respect, they populate the earth, are kind, but independant...and to treat their temples (body's) as sacred things. He guess he had no choice. He knew what he would have to do...he didn't know how to ask though.

~Ginko~ Ginko stood up and then sat back down in front of him "Again, im sorry Belphegor, but I can't let you pay me for something im not allowed to do..." she said, placing her hand on his cheek and kissing him on the lips softly. The moment made her blush. This was the first time she had ever kissed anyone and enjoyed it. Ginko stood up once again but tripped on her kimono, falling down on top of Belphegor "Oh dear, please forgive me Belphegor" she said, a deep blush ran across her soft cheeks.
