In the starter forum someone stated something about false teachings so lets start a topic about it.
How do you feel about false teachings and what religion do consider being untrue and why?

I don't really think any one religion is teaching false things. They just teach things differently than other denomenations or religions: especially the ones that share the principle of monotheism.

I think that one of the biggest problems is questioning and faith. Example: I might have faith that my religion is the one true religion and another guy comes along with beliefs that are the exact opposite of mine, but he is just as certain that his religion is the only true one. He thinks that my teachings are false and I think that his teachings are false. Neither of us stop to question whether our religions are really the absolute truth. But only one of us could be right, so the simple solution would be to question those beliefs and the one that turns out to be false would have to accept that they were wrong and change their religion.
The problem with faith is that one of the definitions of 'having faith' means believing so strongly that you never question whether it is true or not. If a person believes in false teachings as deeply as a good true believer should then they would never have the chance to know.

My view is this
There is a little bit of truth in most religions. Some are outright lies. But most, in my opinion, are truth and scripture mingled with the philosophies of men.
