If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't.
Okay, so I have this crazy theory that Alice In Wonderland is being used as an indirect influence for the Resident Evil movies. My best friend, Shane, say I'm just crazy, but he's also the person who says green and red apples taste the same, that green apples aren't sour, so I can't listen to his opinion. >.< Soo, listen to these, and please tell me I' not crazy! XD
- In the Resident Evil movies,t he main character is Alice; in the original game and the books, there was NEVER a character named Alice, much less the main character.
- AT the end of the third movie, the song played was Collide's version of "White Rabbit" (my favourite one X3) which, I know, doesn't say much, it's a song but usually in movies they play songs that have to do with the theme of the movie, and "White Rabbit" is an Alice based song!!!
- A friend a couple years ago (cause I've had this theory for...three years now...? Or four, Idk) pointed out that Umbrella and the Hive could be kind of like the Rabbit Hole. >.>
- Finally, the program in the first movie, the program that trapped them in the building based on the programmer's daughter, was called "Red Queen," which is obviously an Alice reference...right?
Maybe I'm reading too much into and maybe they're not necessarily meaning for Alice In Wonderland to play a prominent role in the films, but the slight influence is definitely there.
Please let me know I'm not the only one who thinks this. >.<
And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

I think you may be right in a way, especialy with the first film.
Also, Marylin Manson did say that while creating the soundtrack was inspired by wonderland and children's music (hence the creepy music-box intro)
Also in the games I think a few of the monsters have been named after AiW characters, at the very least I know that the Bandersnatch was deffinately used (just try typing bandersnatch into google and you'll see what i mean XD I had hell trying to find images of the one from the new movie)

I ALSO FOUND THESE!!! XD Connections to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland: - Main character's name is Alice. - Computer is named 'Red Queen'. - 'The Red Queen' needs to kill someone who is infected, so she tries to get someone else to chop off their head. (Off with her head!) - Alice in Wonderland paperweight. - A white rabbit was use to test the T-virus. - To enter the hive they go through a mirrored door (through the looking glass). - The Red Queen also succeeds in cutting off "her" head - the medic in the laser hallway. - Kaplan worries about time, as the White Rabbit does. (Mentioned in commentary) - Matt is sitting on the ledge when Rain and JD hear the first zombie. This is mentioned in the commentary as a reference to the Caterpillar. Haven't a slightest idea about Resident Evil, but based on what you're saying, I'd say that there are some references there

I suggest you watch the, they're great movies. X3 I love the games, though - NOTHING beats an original! But the Alice references are only in the movies, haha. And I watched the first movie alone tonight with the commentary - the writer/director, Paul Anderson, DID definitely intend for Alice in Wonderland to be heavily referenced in the movie. And if Shane continues to disbelieve me, I'll just have to have him watch it for himself when I get down to Texas. -.- Anyone else wanna take a crack at the rest of the influences and who the characters in the first movies represent in Wonderland? : D (ave Alice as Alice...of course. XD Haha)] Movie With Commentary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdv-UMLcbPI&feature=related -- Here at about 4 30, and then again at around 8 30 to 9 10 or so http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOOBuXrY0-c&feature=related -- Around 6 50.

What is your wish? Have you called me without a wish? I LOVE the Resident Evil movies! Did you know that the computer Red Queen has a sister program refered to as the White Queen? She's the little girl (in the white dress) hologram from the 3rd movie. Though I don't think they call her "White Queen" in the movie (I recall reading it somewhere)...She doesn't have very many parts... Wait! Are you a fairy? No, a demon.
