Maisie:: -sitting outside of the Casino, fiddling around with her necklaces. Seeming a bit daydreamy-

Aki: -leaves the University behind for a stroll, his face still a little bruised up, nose healing from its break-

Maisie:: -hears some foot steps and flicked her attention from her day dream towards the source. Spotting a shady fellow she stood up and walked a bit close to the Casino door, as if it made her feel more comfortable to be closer to home.-

Aki: -hunched over as he walks, thinking deep about what BC had said, though he looks up and spies a pretty girl outside the doors of the Casino. Ears dock back, then flick forwards- 'Lo.

Maisie:: -feels her heart speed up as he looks her way.- H-hi... -puts her hand on the door just in case he tries to get a little crazy.-

Aki: -huffs and glowers at her- Afraid of a guy with a broken nose? -spits, suddenly angry- Why, it means I'm weak. Shouldn't you be happy?

Maisie:: -jumps as he suddenly snaps at her and she opens the door and takes a step inside, but he seems rather upset so she couldn't just slam the door in his face. She kept it cracked a little bit as she spoke to him.- ... could mean that.... but over all it means you're violent... what with getting in fights and all.

Aki: -sighs and rests his head back, taking deep, calming breaths- Not your business, of course, but if you -have- to know, I was jumped. By my brother. -grumbles-

Maisie:: -gaves him a sympathetic stare before opening the door a little more.- .... your brother? That's a douchey thing to do... how come?

Aki: -ears flatten back, unsure if he wants to go into this- He's a dickhead. We don't get along and...I ran my mouth. So he hit me. Several times.

Maisie:: -flattens her ears back and gives a sorrowful stare before coming out of the Casino doors.- You're brother isn't a very nice man... um... you seem like the kind of guy who doesn't usually give out his name but... uh... well... I'm Maisie. Hi... -gives a distant wave-

Aki: -stuffs his hands in his pockets, still standing stooped, watching her with curiosity overriding the anger that's quickly subsiding- I'm Aki. Of...well...the plaza at first, but the University now. And you're from the Casino, I'd guess? -smile-

Maisie:: -glances over her shoulder at the Casino doors- Um... I don't know yet. My friends live here... I'm going to try and see if the owner will let me stick around... hopefully I'll be from the Casino soon. It's nice to meet you though, Aki. That's a cool name.

Aki: -shrugs a little- Good to have friends. I have...one. -chuckles and shakes his head- Not great at keeping them. I usually end off pissin' them off.

Maisie:: -tilts her head curiously- One friend? .... just one? I'm so sorry to hear that... W-well... You've got two now... if you want.. -offers a weak smile at the kid-

Aki: -lifts a brow at her offer: she didn't annoy him like the rest of them did... She was too flighty to really make him mad. Maybe too innocent- I see... I'd like that, Maisie...

Maisie:: -her smile grows brighter as she steps to the side of the door and leans her back against it, sliding down into sitting position.- Wanna sit and talk? I'd like to get to know my new friend.

Aki: -blinks at her, wandering over and crouching down beside her, squatting, keeping his sleeves pulled tight over his wrists: she didn't need to see that- Hmm... What do you normally 'talk' about?

Maisie:: -a smile on her face clearly from her accomplishment of getting him to sit next to her.- Um... I don't know... Usually I just let others start the conversation and follow along. Um... lets see... -takes a moment of silence to think.- What's your favorite thing to eat?

Aki: -chuckles at her grin- Easy. Anything deep fried. So unhealthy...

Maisie:: -chuckles at his answer- Mmm Deep Fried stuff is bomb! I luff sushi personally. It's hard to come across though... I mean, the kind I like. All rolled with rice and stuff. I don't like stealing so ... I haven't had sushi in a long long time. It isn't just something humans feed to cats.

Aki: -blinks. A cat who didn't steal? What an odd cat she was...- I've never cared for something uncooked... And I hate chicken.

Maisie:: Oh my gosh! I hate chicken too! That's one thing we have in common. -giggles at this discovery- I don't like chicken because I love them alive rather than dead. How come you don't like eating chicken?

Aki: -snorts- Alive rather than dead? -eyes flash- Alive they're fun toys... They sqwack and run and they're...amusing. Dead? Tasteless little bastards.

Maisie:: -ears slightly flatten sadly- Aw, toys... I don't know about that, Aki. That's kind of mean... they're living things after all.

Aki: -opens his mouth to snap back something along the lines that they're simple-minded creatures and don't even realize when they're hurt, but her look/tone of voice makes him take a deep breath- Sorry.

Maisie:: -her sadness seems to disappear as he apologizes and she can feel herself growing back to a normal emotion.- It's okay. That's nice of you to think of how I feel. It was thoughtful of you.

Aki: -thoughtful? him? was that even possible? He just didn't want to see her pout...or perhaps walk away from him- Hn. No worries, Maisie. I'd hate to see you frown -flashes her a grin-

Maisie:: -smiles more sweetly at him and flops her tail into her lap and starts to play with her fur.- Heh, that's so sweet of you, Aki. I'd hate to see you frown, too. So don't. -she told him sternly, but in a playful way.-

Aki: -doesn't bother telling her that he frowns all the time, unless he's around Tempette. His ears pull back and a slight flush crosses his cheeks and he stands, quite abruptly- Hn. Perhaps I like to frown. Either way, I should go. I'll...find you if I need you? Maybe we could go for sushi sometime -smiles again-

Maisie:: -her smile disappears as he stands so suddenly and speaks aobut him leaving.- Already? .... o-okay then. Um... Buh bye. I hope you come around again soon. -stands up as well to go back inside the Casino. At the mention of sushi her eyes light up- That sounds very nice.

Aki: Nice... -nods- C'ya. -wanders off again, still a little hobbly-
