Today was the day.
Tension coursed through her as she walked. Today was the day she would leave her family. She had to. This had to work. She was desperate enough to push herself at a relative stranger and she could only hope that sort of desperation would bring results. She couldn't stand being belittled by her sister and then watching her father shower love and praise on her for those very actions. She couldn't stand hearing from her mother about how noble and just her father was. She just... couldn't stand it.
She was looking for a certain cerynei stallion. She had only met him a couple times in passing but he seemed like a hopeful choice. With his towering antlers he looked so strong. She needed someone strong. Though she wasn't sure at all if he was the best choice for her, he was the available choice and she would take it. But where was he? She walked along the paths that she knew him to frequent. She didn't want to return to her family again unless she knew it was for one last goodbye. She didn't want to return a failure.

Caelius stood at the end of the path, where the forest finished. Looking up at the mountains as he thinks. Having been pondering the idea of taking a trip up to the first ridge. Wanting to see the clouds and shapes from higher up. Stood pondering this unaware that he was being looked for. Then again he might have known that someone wanted him if he had been looking at the clouds like he often was, but his idea to travel a little further afield was all that was on his mind at the moment.
Looking round finally when he herd someone coming along the path. Oddly surprised to see Capriccia, not knowing her well but they had chatted briefly a few times. Smiling at her as he turns to greet her properly. "Hello, I hadn't expected to see you today, this is a lovely surprise." And it was, he liked seeing others especially when he saw them more than once.

When Caelius turned and greeted her Capriccia's heartbeat quickened. This was it. Her breath caught in her throat in nervousness but she swallowed and willed the feeling away. She was going to escape her family today.
"Hello there, Caelius." She remembered everything her mother and father had told her. Stallions were only interested in a mare for her body. A mare must be demure and dainty. A mare must be subservient to her mate, but must be wary of all other males. She hoped everything they had taught her was accurate.
She cast her eyes downwards and feigned shyness. She was unused to acting in this manner and the motions came awkwardly to her but she gave what she hoped was a charming and seductive smile to the stallion. "I was hoping to find you today. I've been thinking about you since the last time we met." Though she tried to make herself seem alluring and feminine her inexperience was still evident in her stilted tone and stiffness.

Watching and listening he smiled, though she seemed more tense today, then again he didn't know her that well so he could be totally wrong. Smiling still as he looks at her, though it was no different from his usual friendly smile. Silently pondering her words, wondering if it would be rude to ask what she had been thinking about, then he also wondered why she had been thinking about him, the first seemed the less rude of the two questions on his mind.
"What's been on your mind?" Moving to let her move up beside where he was stood if she wanted to, then again she might prefer to walk and talk. Looking from where he was to the path back to her, clearly wondering what to suggest. Inwardly cringing as he was so useless with other soquili, it was always a guess as to what was the right thing to do. "Umm... would you like to walk, or we can stay and enjoy the view?" Opting to offer both, that way she could state her preference.

Capriccia did a quick internal search on what would be the best option for her goal. Walking, or admiring the view? She wasn't quite certain. She couldn't remember anything that her parents had said on the subject. She felt her tension building in response to indecision. What to do?
"Let's go on a walk." She said the words too quickly and cringed a little. She had decided on the walk for the only reason that she would find it preferable to standing around fidgeting. Moving her legs would do her some good in this talk.
Belatedly she pulled her smile back on her face. She was trying to be the perfect lady but had the feeling that she was missing a lot from it.

Cael smiles and nods, moving again to let her join him for a walk. Starting at a pleasant stroll pace once she had moved up beside him. "What's on your mind?" His voice gentle, a little concerned with how tense she seemed to be, but again, maybe that was him seeing phantoms, maybe he would not look into it so much when he got to know her better.
Taking a path that lead down a gentle slope, still having the pretty view on one side as they walked. Some might consider the view and the slow gentle stroll romantic, but he didn't know much of anything about that, so to him it was pleasant, company and a nice stroll with a pretty view, nothing more.
