Two legger festivals were always great. It was good to be around different company, see and perhaps mix with other herds. Too much of the same thing was so boring. Plus, his two legger would be busy taking part in the festivities. A perfect chance for a bit of moonlit exploration of the village. She wouldnt care if he went wondering, so long as he didnt stray too far. Firefly tossed his mane and set off at a steady pace, moving away from the main crowd.

The sun had set, and Forte;s two legger was getting things ready to go into the near by village for some kind of festival. But she had been so concerned with Forte, that she had plans to take her along, in case something bad happened. The two legger did really know what happened, but thought that Forte's age might be finally affecting her. But it was strange, she was only two years old...
With packing up the last thing of food, the two legger lead Forte from the teepee and over into the village.
Forte looked around some. It had been a rather long time since she had been there. She let her head hang again and look down at the ground. She knew she needed to cheer up, but it felt like she was all alone.

Firefly wandered around the empty areas of the village. Everything looked so different in the moonlight.
His ears pricked up as he heard the sound of hooves, as well as the walking of a two legger. Someone was coming into the village, presumably for the festival. Firefly headed towards the newcomers, curious and wanting to have a look.

Luna smiled seeing the large stallion, she reached her hand out to pet his snout. Her hands were warm, but she didn't stay long, because her basket was heavy. "Keep an eye on her." She told him, and then vanished between the teepees.
Forte looked up at the much larger horses and tilted her head slightly. She didn't feel full of life, like she would have wanted in meeting someone knew. "Hello." She said sullenly. Her blue orbs looked up at him. He was a pretty fellow. She wondered if he lived there.

The stallion watched the two legger go into the village, then turned his attention to the small mare she had left behind. She didn't seem to be enjoying herself. She had been looking at the floor until his height had forced her to look up at him.
"Hello, I'm Firefly. Whats your name? You here for the festival?"

"I'm Forte." The older mare stated. "I guess so, my two legger brought me, I wasn't to sure what was going on." She smiled slightly. From days of moping around Forte has barely any kind of stamina, and was already starting to get tired from just being up and about.
"Do you live here?"

Firefly noticed a slight smile on her face, and felt a bit more comfortable. He never knew how to deal with the sadness of others.
"Not here. In the next village along, by the river" He montioned with his head in the general direction. "I was brought along for the festival. The atmosphere is a nice change. My village is quiet"

Forte could understand that. She didn't live in a village, but a teepee, in the forest. The noises that were starting to erupt would make it easier to keep her mind off the sad things in life.
"I can relate." She told him. "I was brought in the same manner." She nodded her head a little. As it got darker, the two leggers lit the fires, and the mare could see the flames dancing off the larger stallion's sides. "Is there somewhere you'd like to go?" She made the effort of seeing if he'd like to do something, rather then letting an awkward silence arise.

The stallion thought a while. "Hmm... while I dont really know this village so i'm not sure what's around." He looked around quickly, eyes scanning the area for anything of interest. Nothing. "Perhaps if we wonder around a bit we might find something?"

Forte wasn't much of an aimless wanderer, but anything would be better then standing in silence. "That sounds fine." She smiled at him. She would let him take the lead, it was a natural practice for her, because otherwise, she risked being stepped on.
The two leggers were finishing up their preparations, so they would be just in time to see the dancing.

Firefly nodded and began to walk towards the village, the smaller mare in tow. The village was now illuminated with flames, casting everything in an orange glow. The two leggers were in a gathering around the largest of the fires.
"Shall we stop here and watch?" He was interested to see what they would do. The dancing and music was always fascinating, plus they needed something to do.

Forte nodded at him, and walked to his side, her eyes looking over the gathering of two leggers. She looked around, wondering what they were going to be doing. She tried to imagine it and tilted her head. It didn't seem to far fetched, but she watched them intently. She had formed a circle and started to dance with a chant.
Forte had never seen anything like it before, and the smoke from the fire was changing colors and forming attractive looking swirls.

Firefly got into a good posistion along side the smaller mare and watched intently as they began to dance. They started to move, chanting as they did so, getting louder and louder, faster and faster. It was captivating. The colourful smoke from the fire mixed with the orange glow cast a magical light over the dancing two-leggers and the spectators of the dance. The stallion smiled, he had never seen dancing this captivating before, or at least not in a long time. It was almost hypnotic.
"Amazing" he breathed.

Forte had never seen anything like it. She had to wonder if it was magic, but little did the little mare know that it was simply a blend of herbs. The chanting, and dancing, the entire scene had an intense feeling to it. As she watched, she had to wonder if horses had similar dances? Forte had been with Luna for so long, she didn't often leave the teepee anymore.
Starting to forget about everything that happened, Forte wanted to get a closer look. But not to close, maybe right behind the people that were passing the pipe around.

Firefly was impressed with the two-leggers. They really could create some amazing things. This was just what he loved about festivals. They were all so unique and interesting. He was glad he got to go to quite a few.
The black and blue mare looked happier now, as if the burden of her worries had been lifted. Firefly watched as she shuffled around to get a better look, and followed after her. It wouldnt be good for her to get lost in the crowd.
