New clothes, shorter hair, and a slightly new physique were only a few of the outward changes that had taken over Cody within the past few days. Of course, they weren't from his recent growth spurt either. The clothes were a bit different than his usual attire as tonight was going to be a special one. Tonight, he was taking Edes out on their very first official date now that he had the money to do so.

Of course, that also meant getting a phone and the keys to his new motorcycle, also bought from his sudden surge in income. Running his fingers through his hair Cody casually picked up the phone and started dialing Edes' phone number, shooting dark glares at anyone that dared come near. "Hey, Edes around?" he asked when the person on the other end picked up.

It didn't even occur to him that his voice had deepened a bit and that their conversation might sound insanely strange to someone that didn't know who was on the other end of the line...

Cody was utterly beaming on the inside, overjoyed to hear his boyfriend's voice again. Boyfriend... The word was like sweet music to his ears, especially since the boy in question was Edes. Hm, he had to think fast now that Edes didn't recognize him. Should he be secretive and mysterious or tell him flat out who it was?

"Be ready in a half hour. Watch for a hot and sexy man on a motorcycle," was all Cody said in a dark, sexy sort of voice before hanging up all giddy with excitement. He let none of this show as he grabbed his jacket and helmet, a goofy grin on his face.

"So, finally taking him out on a date?" Aenira asked, giggling from the other side of the table. Cody just stared at her, nodding slowly. There was no real use arguing with her now with her powers over the sky and wind growing exponentially by the day.

"Ooh! Where?"
"Beach and carriage r-"
"EEE! That's soooooo romantic~ Buying him something?" she asked, giggling. Cody shrugged, feeling around in his pocket to see what all was there. After a moment of counting, he could only shake his head. "Can't."

"Awh. Oh well, he's still pretty lucky. Bai~" And the little dragoness bounced off, giggling like the little school girl she was.

A half hour later, Cody rode up to Edes' driveway and stopped, waiting a moment to gather his nerves. Sure he had broken into countless stores for cash but that was nothing when it came down to talking with the sloth boy. Gah, he was so pathetic.

Cody took a deep breath and stood, walking up to the front door when he had assured himself the motorcycle wouldn't fall over. Smoothly removing the helmet and exposing his now shoulder-length hair, a gloved hand extended and knocked. Outwardly, he looked cool and calm but on the inside, he was all sorts of nervous and jittery. What if Edes didn't like the date he had planned out?

Cody only laughed, grinning at the teasing. "It is I, your knight in shining armor! And is it not customary to have a certain air of mysteriousness when whisking his beautiful love off into the sunset for a night of romance?" he asked, bowing a bit.

How was it that any sort of snippy remark or cold "I don't give a damn about you" attitude just melted away or remained unsaid when in Edes' presence? It was as if he couldn't be anything but nice and caring near him... Hopefully his 'friends' had managed to clear the beach of people. The poor love-struck spawn didn't think he could act quite so polite and caring with idiotic people ruining their date.

Cody laughed and embraced the sloth spawn as he all but launched himself into his arms. "Hey Edes. I've missed you too and I see you've grown as well. You look cute," he murmured into Edes' ear, loving how close they were and wishing it wouldn't end. Unfortunately, it had to at some point if he were to take the spawn off to where the first part of their date would be.

"Mm, so by you saying I'm hot, I'm assuming you'll allow me to whisk you off into the sunset for a small taste of paradise?" he asked, chuckling softly. Oh how he liked this newer, far less shy version of his boyfriend. It made things far more fun and easier to do.

Cody smirked, making sure the smug and devious look was gone when Edes pulled away to shut and lock his door. As his gaze turned towards the motorcycle, he merely smiled softly. "If it wasn't safe I wouldn't be using it. There's an extra helmet if you want to use it," he replied and planted a soft kiss on the sloth boy's cheek before taking his hand and leading him over to the bike.

It gleamed a deep red with black pinstripe. It had taken a good deal of persuading to get Ary to do it, as well as a chunk of cash. But, it was cheaper going with her anyways. "Come on, it's not far to our first destination," Cody explained, climbing on and waiting for Edes to get on before starting it up and backing down the driveway.

Cody glanced back at Edes, hesitant to answer. "Got it used and Ary helped fix up the paint," he replied, not exactly lying. Ary did "help" fix up the paint and he did get it used for a nice price for how nice it was.

After backing fully out of the driveway, he clicked down the visor on his helmet and headed for the beach. He hated the bugs that often hit his face, hence the visor. It only took them around ten minutes to get to the beach where he gently rolled into a parking space and stopped.

"We've reached our first destination in our night of paradise," he said, turning off the motorcycle and pocketing the keys. The beach was oddly deserted with the setting sun dancing across the dark waters and golden sand. It looked almost like it was cut out from a romantic beach scene in a movie it was so perfectly laid out.

Cody just smiled at Edes' amazement and wonder at the view, taking the helmet back and placing it next to his on the motorcycle.

"I was just roaming around one day and found this place," he replied truthfully for once. During one of his excursions alone, he had gotten lost and just happened to stumble across the beach and scenic route to it. Of course, to him, the scenery was mostly lost as his gaze remained on his boyfriend as he admired the beach.

"Want to go look around? It's a couple hours till dark so we have time," he commented, offering the boy his hand.
