"Its not hard, seriously, Mythology is just a long story told by someone else long before your birth." Mason explained to the Sophmore who had sat down next to him. He was known throughout the campus as the resident geek when it came to myth, legend adn even sometimes astrology. This stigma far from hurt him though, while most people would get this reputation and be labled 'the nerdy geek guy that nobody wants to talk to', Mason, however, managed to become 'that cool guy who can get in with by asking about mythology'. "Who's Myth class are you taking?" Mason asked, leaning forward and looking sideways at the girl two years his junior. "Mr... Mr. Harrington I think?" the girl said, smiling shyly. "Ok, thats good, you just take it up as a minor?" Mason asked, sitting back in his chair and idly checking the girl out. Sure he wasn't gonna take advantage of anyone, but it never hurt to admire a girls beauty. Can't ever be certain that she wasn't going to be right for him. She nodded. "Yeah, My careers councillor said in the feild of archaeology its a smart choice." "You want to be an archaeologist?" Mason asked, honestly surprised. He saw her more as a dance instructor, a model, maybe a lawyer or business woman... but an archaeologist, digging in the mud? she was very pretty and apparently brainy... though not knowing that mythology would be a good thing to have for such a career was a bit... "Thats cool. Well-" mason's wat- Orions watch beeped. it flashed blue for a second and went blank again. Crap... I have Astrology in forty minutes... he thought to himself. "Harringtons a good teacher, go to his classes and he'll let you know anything you need to, though if you really want to get ahead you should do reading on your own. I can recomend some books, and give you any help you need but right now I'm late for a TA meeting. Here's my cell number if you need me, but dont be surprised if I dont answer, I'm often in meetings, or in here so worst case I'll call you back." He said, dropping a teachers assisstant card down onto the table and getting up and leaving. He had somewhere to be alright, but it wasn't a meeting... well ok he'd be meeting people technically but it wasn- Screw it. Mason was a superhero, his name was Orion, named after the astrological star sign for the hunter. He was a super hero, and now he was off to fight a super villain, he just hoped his little 'sister' Pulse didn't get there first and blow up the entire city block... or tell a cop to go F*** himself... Again. Two months he'd been her legal guardian, two months she'd been on the fricken planet and already she'd used late night tv to pick up more curses and swearing than Mason had used in his life.
