I heart Squall

8 was my first final fantasy, and i think that's a huge part of why i still love it. plus, summons being used for more than just a fancy spell really appeals to me. viii and x were good for that, but in totally different ways.
plus, the setting is still my favorite!

FFVIII is a beautiful game.
The story line is intriguing and the characters are interesting. The learning strategies for GFs and defence and offence status is genius! I love the fact that it isn't just a simple child's game and that you actually have to think about it.

I love Final Fantasy 8. The junction system is nice and I enjoyed playing around in the menu. The card game was also enjoyable. I also did enjoy the story. It meshed well with the junction system.

I have a special place in my life for VIII, because it rentroduced me to the series after not playing a single Final Fantasy game for seven years. I mostly remember the game for its amazing opening sequence and of course the Gunblade.

I liked VIII, but... I thought it was too easy. Well, at least after playing it so many times.

Unfortunately, I had to restart my initial save because a friend of mine erased the first save I started.

-Sigh- SOOOOO many times have I had to explain my love for 8 already. Anywho, listen, my children. -Clears throat-

Final Fantasy 8 is my favorite game. The storyline is confusing and that's probably the greatest aspect of it. Despite the mass amount of confusion it creates, it is still great because the characters add twists to the story based on their perspectives on what is happening and their unique personalities. The characters finally gave the game a feel to which you could relate yourself to what was happening. Quistis was a prodigy and very proper, though stressed out because she didn't understand her emotions while on the other hand, Zell was a ticking time-bomb that was full of excitement and anger. The entire drawing thing was REALLY annoying (I recently restarted my game and got annoyed when I drew 100 of Firaga, Blizzaga, and Thundaga for Zell, my worst drawer, and my sister shut off the power strip..) but it added a unique aspect of the game where you could form mages, tanks, or meat-shields (or be just like me and always hit Auto, ATK xD). The places were unique and different (I mean, wtf IS that like..Sunken area with glass panels at FH???) and that was nice because it added variety and helped explain the image of the place you were at. Galbadia was formal. FH was laid back. Central Ruins was..Dead. Esthar was high-tech. I gotta say though, besides the soundtrack, my favorite thing was Cards. I KILLLLLL at Cards. xD I love it so much. But yeah, the soundtrack is great because it enhances the emotional-ness (xD I'm an Editor using words that aren't real) of the game. Besides, it was composed by the greatest composer of our time. GF abilities were nice, I liked how they tied it into the game.
