My, this thread is cool. It's a timely explanation of the general unbelievability of the series.

Intuet Tell your mom she and I need to talk. Great, now I'm picturing my mom on gaia. O_O She was kind of upset when seeing the trailer for New Moon didn't convert me into a Twilight lover. And she wants to know if I'm team Edward or team Jacob... Ack!

I like the Twilight series *ducks under the table to avoid flying fruit*
As far as vampire stories go no one could ever match up to Anne Rice but the Twilight series keeps me interested which I definitely never expected. How many of you have read the books?

*holds up hand* I read the first one. Online. For free.
Yesterday I read Dead Until Dark, a vampire novel with a mystery plot and heavy on the sex, violence and romance. Apparently some HBO series is based off of it. I recommend it for moms who think Twilight is the snit.

How many of you have read the books? I have read the first three, they got worse as they went on, and by the time that I finished Eclipse... I wanted to kill myself. So, I decided not to read book four.

That's cool, at least you guys read them before deciding you hated them, although I'm surprised both of you made it through at least one book. I don't think I'd have the patience for that, if I don't like a book I don't suffer through it. The only exception to that rule would be Wuthering Heights. I hated it until the very end whereupon it became one of my favorites.
@ Intuet- I've never heard of the novel but I've watched True Blood, that's the only vampire HBO series I know of so maybe that's the one you're talking about? Season one was great. I don't have HBO so I have to wait until the summer to watch season 2

(There's a book four?)
I read the summary on the back. That was enough. Then I watched the first movie. Not good. Really not good.
I throw eggs. It's more interesting.
Someone somewhere said they're on team Edward Scissorhands... I'm totally stealing that.

Someone somewhere said they're on team Edward Scissorhands... I'm totally stealing that. Book four is called Breaking Dawn...Even though I have not read that one, I have heard that it was the worst in the series. Bella and Edward have a half human, half vampire kid and Jacob falls in love with imprints on her. stare Fans will say, there is nothing wrong with it. He knows that he has to wait till she grows up to do anything with her...I have heard this excuse, many times. That is not the point. He falls in love with an infant, and is going to wait till she becomes of age to be her mate...Until then, he is supposed to be her teacher, her big brother...Sounds like child grooming and I think that it is very creepy. Also she came out with two extentions too the Twilight series...well one as of now...I forget the title...but it has something to do with Tanner Bree (Who?) and she was supposed to have one out called Midnight Sun, It is from Edwards point of view, from the first Twilight book. But it leaked and Meyers decided not to publish it...for awhile anyway.
