Hey. I've made a few Sonic animations in the past, so I would like to share them with you. Also, if anybody else has made any, please share yours, too! I'm keeping my explanations in white in case you don't want to read them. Highlight if you do. Hyper SonicThis is my first animation. If memory serves, I think it's actually my first art project...that said, this is Hyper Sonic. His quills are moving back and forth and his body is constantly changing colors between the different colors of the Chaos Emeralds. Most of it is the same through the fourteen frames. I started with making Sonic's Super form, but it became this (If you look closely, one of the frames looks like his Super form). I started by drawing the lines of Super Sonic, then made a copy of it with the quills blown to the side. Next, I alternated between the two outlines and alternated through the seven colors to create the fourteen frames in this animation. I suggest that you don't watch this if you are vulnerable to rapidly changing lights.Chaos EmeraldThis is my second and, in my opinion, the best. It took the longest to work on, too, and has the most frames. I had to keep starting over from scratch because I had noticed an error I made from the beginning. I started with a pair of octagons for the top and outer edges. Next, I rotated it until there was a distance of one pixel at full zoom and recorded the degree of rotation. I repeated this for the second pixel, the third, etc. until I had gone far enough to get one side of the emerald. Then I made two more octagons, rotated them to the predetermined degrees, then connected their corners. I set a point below it for the bottom and connected that point to each corner on the lower octagon. I repeated this for all twenty degrees I had. After that, I proceeded to color it. The base color was red and I changed the brightness and darkness on it by factors of 20 depending on which frame was showing.Hedgehog-to-Werehog transformationThis one was recommended by a friend. I started by drawing the picture of Sonic. Then I took each individual body part and slowly modified it bit by bit until I had seven frames for each part. Then I put the pieces back together. After that, I colored the beginning and ending frames, then colored the middle frames so that there appeared to be a steady change in the color. If you look closely, Sonic's eye twitches before the transformation.

There were two completely hand-drawn Sonic animations I started working on a while back, but forgot about them and never finished them. Maybe I should finish them sometime...
