Olly sat at the diningroom table nervously. He had just gotten home from a day at class when Kami had explained that she had set up a 'playdate' for him. Obviously something with play involved, but he was still a little nervous. Kami had said that the little cheetah hybrid would be coming over to play, and he fidgetted, wondering what she would be like.
Kami waited patiently, reading a magazine in the livingroom nearby. Mew had seemed like a nice person over the phone, so she wasn't worried much at all. They would be here any minute now...

Walking along some uncharted pathway at a rather slow pace, a pair walked hand in hand seemingly towards a specific destination. "I think we're almost there..." Said Mew softly, peering down at Sahra, ears flattened against her head. "But then again, I've been wrong so many times before.
Sahra twitched; she wasn't so sure about what exactly was going on. All Mew had told her was that they were going to visit someone she would hopefully have some fun with. "Eh..." She squirmed slightly, not exactly taking well to the slow pace she was being pulled at. But sooner than she had thought, they stopped in front of a door. As Mew knocked, Sahra studied her surroundings thoroughly.

Kami lived in the big housing complex that was located near the D-corp buildings. She had chosen to do so so that the drives to and from school would not be so horribly long for Oliver and herself. Plus, it was closer to many of the other children and she figured that would benefit them as well. It was still a little plain, since she was still setting up, but she had made sure to decorate Olly's room at least, for his comfort and happiness.
She looked up at the knock, and smiled. "That must be them!" she said, and rose to move to the door, opening it and smiling widely. "Hello there, you're right on time!" Kami smiled warmly at mew, then down at Sahra as she opened the door wide. "Please come in!"

Mew nodded slightly, taking a swift step forward. But she was held back by something? She spun around on one heel, eyes locking onto her target. "Sahra? Something wrong?"
The young girl stood there, frozen, staring at the ground. She didn't seem to know what to do, nervousness had deemed her unable to move. Mew chuckled, swooping Sahra up into her arms. "Why are you so edgy today?" She asked, wondering. "You're not usually like this."
She shrugged, thinking that being some place unfamiliar may seem a bit frightening to the girl. She hadn't been many places at all, other than school, home, and the occasional visit to Mew's sister's home, she hadn't gotten out much.
Sahra blinked in wonder, who could it possibly be they were here to see?

Kami smiled a bit. "Aaw. No need to be shy...Olly is right in here...Olly! Our guests are here." she called softly.
The little boy wandered in, looking quite nervous indeed. He gazed up at Sahra, and managed a sheepish little smile, waving a little bit. She didn't seem so bad. She didn't look scary at all...more like a big kitty. "Hello..." he said, clasping his hands behind his back. He gulped, and tried to banish his shyness. She was here to play, wasn't she? "Wanna go play?" he asked softly, little ears drooped.

Sahra squeaked, looking up to Mew for reassurance. "You'll be fine." She whispered to Sah lovingly, setting her down on the floor. The little cheetah clung slightly to Mew's leg for a moment, watching as Olly entered.
It didn't take her long to realize she wasn't the only one that was nervous. She grinned, happily slinking along she halted in front of Olly and nodded. "Play." She replied simply, her hand winding it's way up to her mouth. A bad habit indeed to chew on her nails, but it seemed to always help her feel more confident for some reason or another.

Olly nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, play! There's lotsa stuff we can do in my room." he said, trying his best to be friendly. He turned to start for his room, but stopped to make sure she would follow. "It's this way!" he said, motioning to her with his hand.
Good job, Olly... Kami though, feeling proud inside. She knew it was hard for her little one to open up to people, but he seemed to have breached that difficulty. She watched him show Sahra out, and smiled to Mew. "She's a real cutie!"

Sahra followed close behind Olly, feeling a tingle of excitement making it's way up her spine. She bounced about happily, wondering what they would do. Tail thumping against the ground, Sahra gazed about contently. "Mhh..." She cooed.
Mew nodded as she watched Sahra run off. "Indeed." She laughed, "But I would have to say the exact same for your little boy." Mew felt more relived, Sah would do fine after all. Before she hadn't been so sure if she would get along well or not, but it seemed now, she would be fine. Her ears assumed a more laid back position, eyes taking on her usual sleepy, dazed look.

Olly smiled and led her to his room. It was a nice room, cozy and decorated in blues and yellows. In the corner stood a small chest, a few stufed toys protruding from it. He had more though, even a few board games stashed in his closet. "So....what would you like to do?" he asked, his voice a little shy again.
Kami chuckled, and sat for a moment at the kitchen table. "Would you like to take a seat? How about a drink, or lunch, perhaps?" she offered. It was a little early, but she offered it anyway, not wanting to seem like a bad host.

((After this post I am off to bed *2 am* XD; ))
Sahra looked around; eyeing the pretty colors the room was decorated in. "Ohh..." She muttered aloud, being completely distracted for a moment. That is, until he asked her what she would like to do. But that would take same thought, because she wasn't sure at all. She shrugged, blinking, a slightly confused look appearing on her face. She looked back and forth, not sure of what she wanted to do. But even if she did, she didn't want to be to straight forward. "Game?" Her voice was low toned and soft, as always, but mostly due to the fact that she did not speak often.
"Hm...Well--" Mew gladly took a seat at the table, sitting across from Kami, she rested her elbows on the table, and her head on tightened fists. "I'm not really hungry, thank you, unless you are, that is. But I could go for a drink, if you don't mind."

He smirked at the suggestion. "Good idea!" he said, and waddled over to his closet, shoving the door open. It was neat and tidy, mostly because of their recent moving-in. A few more toys could be seen in one corner, and in the other, 3 or 4 games stacked upon eachother. Oliver had played them with Kami since they had arrived, on evenings after he had completed his homework and a short study session. He felt fairly confident about playing without his mother's help. "Lessee...we got...Checkers, chinese checkers...CandyLand...aaaand...Connect Four." he said, having to turn his head to see the last title.
Kami smiled, and got up, retrieving a couple of glasses. "What would you like? We have milk, juice...some soda..." she glanced toward the back of the fridge. Only a lone bottle of 7-up. She didn't want her youngster to grow up on that stuff, and so provided him with a wide array of fruit juices instead.

Sahra smiled end to end, clasping her hands tightly behind her back, amused. She had never heard of any of these games, for even though Mew had quite a few for her to play in the house, Sah had always preferred making her own games. "Uh..." She shrugged, not minding which they played.
"Juice, if you don't mind, please." Mew nodded, crossing her arms on the table and resting her chin on her arms. She didn't care much for sodas, and never kept any around the house, she also knew it was a bad idea to drink dairy.

Oliver giggled a little, and pulled out checkers. "This one's sorta easy. Do you know how to play?" he asked, sitting down in front of her and pulling the cover from the box, and withdrawing the fold-out black-and-red checkerboard. He made his own games a lot too, but usually only when Kami wanted to read or had to do something without him. But he really did enjoy board games, even though Kami often beat him.
Kami smiled, and grabbed a carton of apple cider. "Juice it is." She said, and filled a couple of glasses with drink, setting one in front of Mew. "It's always better for you anyway. I don't like the thought of Olly getting hooked on soda." she said, smirking as she took a sip. Milk, she thought, was alright. Olly seemed to like it, if only for breakfast, occasionally.

Sahra watched Olly as he brought the board out. Amazed at the pretty-full pattern it had on it, she tilted her head in wonder. It looked like something she had seen on her Aunt's wall last time she went to visit. She couldn't help but wonder if Olly was sure this was really a game, or a picture? "Mehw?" She muttered, blinking heavily many times.
Mew nodded; thank fully taking the glass Kami had set in front of her, sipping contently at the cool liquid. It felt nice to drink something, for it had been a slightly long trip here, and she hadn't had anything to drink for a while. "Thank you very much." She said with a smile, "But you are very right, it is much better. Those modern carbonated drinks will just harm your body. They may taste good--" At least according to her cousin, but as for her, she had never tried any at all. "But can't let that fool you, eh?"

Olly let out another small laugh. "Here, you can be red, and I'll be black!" he said, deviding up the small round playing pieces. "See, you have to try and get the other player's playing pieces by jumping over them." He explained as best he could, showing her where to set up her pieces. He didn't know exactly how to explain the game, but hopefully she would learn through playing. It wasn't all that hard, afterall.
Kami smiled lightly as she drank as well. "No problem. And yeah, they really can." She said, feeling a little sheepish. She liked a soda every once in a while, when no one was looking. "I guess not." she said with a chuckle, enjoying the sweet cider.
