Beauty... Parties... Immortality.

Three words that come to mind when one takes their first glance at the most glorious place in Los Angeles - the downtown shopping and residential areas.
It is as if California, more specifically the city of LA, is the last in the world to receive the fleeting glimmers of sunlight. Golden auras fill each breath before darkness decends and the creatures prowl.
Daylight or midnight, time doesn't seem to matter in this bustling city filled with the perfect combination of confidence and sheer beautify.
The smallest light flickers from the massive skyscrapers that appear to nearly touch to celestial beings.
Few immortals can thrive in such an environment.
Vampires seem to love it for the attention and easy dance clubs that welcome any pale-faced, seductive being.
Lycanthropes happily roam the residential district, in shadows and crevices, without fear of being seen.
After all, if they are somehow spotted, their matted fur would make them appear to be a simple stray hound to an untrained eye.
Demons slip from house to house, restaurant to restaurant, terrifying the innocent while angels try to right all of the corruption.

Black eyes. Some remarked on their seductive premise. Others feared the black hole that dug into their souls when they stared into those terrible black eyes. The man behind those eyes, wearing them half-lidded and with a currently drunken slur, was not as horrible as his eyes made him perceive. In fact, he was quite the terrifying-looking creature, to some. Humans, mainly female teenagers, found him dangerous. Beautiful. As breath-taking as the city and with a tounge that could dance a serenade of deceiving promises and untold pleasure.
Ninak Svit'Kona was known for his charismatic personality. A charm and confidence that never faded. Not for almost a thousand years. Until he met one girl. Stella K'Meric.
Damn that girl.
She shattered a heart that was made of ice and only flowed with blood that was stolen from someone else. Her soft skin cursed his senses making everyting feel rough as sandpaper. Damn that voice of hers for making everything else, even the most beautiful angel's ballad, sound like nails on a chalkboard compared to her softest whisper. Damn those glorious eyes of hers. The hair that always seemed to bounce just enough to fit her personality, whether she be a devious little thief or an innocent vampire. Damn her...

Before the agony could reach those eyes of his once more, to coat white cheeks in painful saltwater, his usually-graceful mannerisms brought a simple bottle to his lips. Somehow, after nearly half a bottle of the easily recognizable dark alcohol known as Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey, he didn't spill a drop. Oh, not a drop of Jack would ever be spilled while he lived. After all, it's the finest whiskey on the western seaboard. Ironic how it's from Tennessee, though.

A deep sigh escaped his lungs as he let his head hang and the bottle, now empty, clatter to the floor. His knees were bent, his back against a random alleyways wall, a disposition that would make even his children mourn. In fact, they did, often. Mainly Natalie was the one who complained of his drunken thoughts slipping into her mind. No, they are not psychic. Merely daughter and father, creator and vampiress, connected eternally telepathically.
Not technically eternally, as Ninak painfully learned when he lost his first daughter, the youngest Elder in History, to that damned Narmer.
Somehow, Ninak remained astute that he would lose no more children. No more deaths. Please, please no more deaths... The death of Analeise nearly shattered him as he loved that girl so much. It only tore him to see Maren kill her just because he birthed a Daeva. What a tragic fate to such an innocent and absolutely beautiful little girl.
Then there was David, Natalie's brother, beheaded by one of Narmer's stooges.

Thinking back to where Narmer and Lillith await for his arrival reminded him of his brief journey to the underside. To Hell. With his short-sleeved shirt, which always closesly hugged his frame, a single tattoo-looking blemish appeared on his left arm. Hell's insignia. An eternal reminder of what awaits him.

And, now, as he learns, Hell sounds so blissfull right now. Or even being tied in Maren's torture chamber sounds orgasmic. Anything to distract him from the pain wretching his heart in pieces with every passing minute...

A mouse climbed up to the mouth of the bottle, her nose twitching quickly as she licked the last few drops from the nozzle. Squeaking quietly the mouse grew, grey fur replaced by electric blue hair, meticulously styled in a mock-20's 'do.
"Hey-hey, sexy." She grinned, taking the bottle and plopping down across from him in the alleyway. "It's about time we got out of here, the feds're on the rooftops. If they get much closer, we'll be in trouble. Well, you'll be in trouble. No one notices a mouse."
She looked at the bottle in her hands, very much wishing it was not empty.

A sly smirk grows along his lips once the small mouse came into view. Seeing a little bit of company allowed him to sigh off the self-loathing and pity long enough to focus on what she said. Even though his hundreds of years of life have been filled with nothing but intoxication and death, Jack Daniels hits just about anyone hard enough to keep them on their butt no matter how old they are.
"Damn Feds." Ninak ran a hand through his silky, jet-black hair, pushing some of his unruly bangs out of his face. "It's not as though we could't take them, anyway." Confidence, even with a shattered heart, never ceases to luminate from Ninak. One hand pressed against the cold brick of the wall behind him just long enough to assist him onto his feet. "I guess we best be going, unfortunately."

[ Oh wow, yeah. That's amazing... ]

"Dude, they have garlic bullets, remember?" She grumbled, stretching her shoulder in an arc. Silvered scar tissue marked her first Vampire bullet wound, still too young to heal it entirely she had only closed the wound with the help of Natalie and left the rest to heal by time. She shifted as he stood, changing to a ferret and scurrying up his pant leg to perch on his shoulder. Her hope was that he wasn't too drunk to stand while being drunk enough to seem a human drunk, not a sly Vampire. The vigilanties especially were so good at spotting them out of the crowd... it was almost frightening.
'Could probably call a cab, we won't be noticed if we're in a car.' She offered, little claws taking hold in his shirt.

It was a moment later that a crow swooped down into the alleyway, finding perch on the edge of a dumpster's lid. Its form changed swiftly, leaving a pink-eyed Jacob crouched on the edge of the container.
"You're a hard one to track down," he nodded towards Ninak, his eyes staying for a moment on Abigail's ferret form. "My Lady requests your audience, I am to stay with you until such a time as to guide you to her current abode. She has business she wishes to discuss with you, given current tidings. Leo has also been asking about Natalie." He nodded his head respectfully.

(Maren's hair is bitter porridge? )

"Psshh. Garlic is nothing." A soft laugh left his lips as Abigail revealed her painful scar. She'll heal and it'll be one of those life lessons. His laughter ceased to come from his lips yet they echoed in his mind. 'A slightly drunk vampire is a lot less conspicuous than a ferret.' He reached the edge of the alleyway when the crow caught his attenton. It's about damn time someone found him. Ninak's main strategy is to hide in plain sight. The best strategy there is, obviously, if the K'Meric's and the vigilantes can't find him.
After listening to Jacob, he quietly cursed, knowing his drunken stature must decrease soon. Sobriety is such a pain and Maren never has anything interesting to deal with, anyway. Mentally, he passed a little tidbit to Natalie about her little lover wanting her before he addressed Jacob.
"Let us grab a quick meal before we find her. I am sure Maren would be less than happy to see me stumbling into her abode."

[ It's almost perfectly the red curls included in the bitter porridge set :3 At least, the closest hair I've ever seen on Gaia. ]

'I used to like garlic,' she grumbled back to him, looking down at the ground as it swiftly left her behind. 'Any vampire is conspicuous, drunk or not. At least I'm a cute, furry rodent. They shouldn't necessarily shoot me on sight. Anyhow, if you're eating, I am too.'

"For the best, I agree." Jacob nodded, "The matters she wishes to discuss are not to be taken lightly, and should be conducted with a clear head. The police are patrolling the rooftops in the area and there are a several vigilanties making their sweeps around us, but we shouldn't have a problem arranging for a prostitute in a nearby hotel. It would be the most discreet route."

The ferret sighed, her form shifting from rodent to crow. <******** it, I'll be a buzzard. There's no way you'll get a ho with a ferret on your shoulder.'

'You forget one detail, Abigail,'
Ninak's thoughts paused as he listened to Jacob and agreed with a nod. Multitasking, which includes, listening, thinking, breathing, and walking, is incredibly difficult while under his current alcohol level. Priorites must be made.
'Ferrets are illegal in the state of California. And I don't have a lisence.'

"Two prostitues, then. Our buzzard friend here wishes to feed, as well. This way, then." Ninak took a sudden turn down a dirty street he knew all too well. Within only a block's distance, the seductive voices of three girls could be heard as they noticed the entreating pair. Even though prostitution is as illegal as marijuana in california, it is as though the girls were selling themselves on the black market. It's a shame such beautiful girls have to ruin themselves in such ways.

[ WTF really? One of the girls brought her ferrets to school on leashes one time, they ran across the tables in anime club and licked our fingers :3 cute little buggers. ]

'What the ********? Since when?' She cawed, gliding from his shoulder to the ground before hopping out of the alleyway and into the street. Just another crow, she flapped her wings a few times and took to the air. 'I've always had them! Then again, it wasn't ferrets I was being arrested for.'

Jacob nodded, standing on the rim of the dumpster before stepping off, his feet landing him lightly on the ground. He fixed his jacket and followed Ninak out, his eyes drifting over the women as they made their way down the street. One of them caught his eye and he stepped towards her, his eyes downcast, his expression decievingly shy as the deal.
PostPosted: Wed Apr 07, 2010 8:46 pm

[Yup. You need a permit. So I've never had one ): ]

'Since forever, duh.' A small snicker passed his clenched teeth before he could compose himself. 'Okay, dang. Um. Like.' The thoughts paused once more as he realized what word he just used. Like. That's a damn Californian accent. Oh hell no. 'I don't know. 1990-something. So not forever. But it feels like forever. I need a goddamn bowl. Abbies, do you have any of that beautiful green stuff we so adore?'

Before she could reply, Ninak allowed his uniquely sly grin to spread across his lips as his black eyes made contact with one of the prostitutes. "Hello, darling." Wasted or not, Ninak could be one seductive man. His fingertips glided along her back as he gently wrapped an arm around her. One reason was to lead her back to the hotel room not far away that they would be able to comandeer for their small meal. The other was as a slight stabilizer.

[ Awwww, sadfaaace. I never knew they existed until I saw the girl bring hers to school, and I fell in love. Havn't had one, probably wont (they take a *lot* of attention. They go crazy if you don't play with them for 5-7 hours every day) but I luuurve them~ <3 ]
[ My first pet goal is either gonna be a dog, or a snake. Probably a snake :3 ]

'Dude, do I look like I'm carrying a bottle?' She flapped in annoyance, flying a little higher and coming to perch on a lampost. 'Besides, Maren'll be pissed if you're even more wasted than you are now. Hurry up, there's slayers on the roof four buildings to the east.'
She took off again and ducked into an alley, a small grey mouse skittered out and climbed up the back of Jacob's pant leg, finally hiding under his coat.

Jacob took the lead, his arm around the young woman's waist gently holding her as they made their way down the street, finally entering the low class hotel and booking a room. His attempts at small-talk were bashful, his approach to the feeding much different than Ninak's. The innocent, shy, first-time investor. They were so much more willing to trust the seemingly helpless.

[ I lurrvvee snakes (: Never had one. But I want! Can't have one for at least a year longer, though. No pets in the dorm. ]

'I don't get seriously stoned anymore. I'll just be chill and lazy. One thing about being a vampire you're going to learn the hard way, when you feed after drinking booze, you're blood metabolizes the booze crazy-fast. I'll be sober within half an hour.' It is always a depressing thought but one he remembered in case times such as these arose.
Ninak didn't even bother to notice or care how Jacob was seducing the bag of blood under his arm. His lips were busy whispering sweet nothings into the prostitute's ear. She was young, a minor, and obviously new at her occupation. Every word was either accompanied by a bashful giggle or by a rushing of color to her cheeks. Most prostitutes would be asking for a fee just for the small chit-chat and flirtatious remarks, let alone hanging onto every word as this girl was.

[ Same, yo. Next year I should be in dorms, and I don't know after that, but it'll be a while before I get a chance. I've been researching on them like mad though, I seriously want a ball python. Sooo pretty <3 ]
[ Sorry for taking so long, it'll be a while before my next post as well due to finals. Thurs/Fri/Mon, then nothing for a week. Wish me luck! ]

'That... ******** sucks.' Abby admitted, clinging to the back of Jacob's shirt as they stepped into the elevator. 'And is expensive, if we ever bothered to pay for the s**t we drink.' Why pay for alcohol where there were perfectly good drunks to mug or coerce out of their booze?
It dinged to the floor of the room and Jacob stepped out, his arm around the girl's waist as they made their way down the hall, stopping by the room number. He led her inside and shut the door, his lips pressing to hers lightly as she walked him backwards into the room, towards the bed.
Abby jumped out of his jacket and scurried behind the woman, shifting between her and the door, her eyes looking the prostitute over with a hungry glare. Silently she approached the woman from behind, readying to pounce. It was dinner time.

[Good luck! I've got Psychology test tomorrow and an Econ test Monday. I'm not too worried about the Psych test, though! I love Psychology. hehe! ]

Ninak didn't play with his food as Jacob seems to enjoy. His hands found comfortable spots at the small of her back, pulling her close to him. His peach lips hovered from hers, seeming to be a tease, before he allowed his hunger to overwhelm him. The tips of his sharpened teeth glanced her cheek as he made his way to her neck. Before she could gasp from the small slice on her cheek, he had penetrated her deeply. It was obvious that too many days have passed since he fed as his claws dug into her back, nearly pulling her off of the ground, and his maw hungrily dug into the soft of her throat.

[ Niice~ I love psych, too! Wish I had gotten to take it in highschool, but I took Law instead. Heard it was really good, though~ ]
[ I think I've passed Chemistry. Maybe. It'll be close, but I think I'm on the passing side of 50% :3 ]

Jacob's eyes connected with Abigail's for a moment as he leaned in and kissed the woman, smothering any screams as Abby lunged in from behind. The draining was fast, her struggling lasted only moments before she began to grow limp, then cold, collapsing back into Abigail's arms as the kiss ended.

Abby's teeth slid back from the woman's neck, a sigh of satisfaction leaving her lips as she quickly licked the blood away. "******** A, that's way better."

"Now to hide the bodies," he sighed. No evidence left behind.

[ I'm feeling strange these days, very lost. I think a lot of it is not having the guild going, since it's always been my anchor. X.x I think of Maren and everyone more than I think of my school work... ]
