Spongebob is now a pile of turd poo.
Spongebob himself is annoying and immature, when he used to be laid back and fun loving. Patrick was a lovable and careless character, and now is just as annoying as Spongebob. Sandy barely exists anymore. Krabs is about the same, maybe a bit more money obsessed and shows up more. Plankton is poinltess now. Squidward went from being a careless person who just wanted to relax and hate spongebob to being a total a**.
Really? I find this all depressing. It should have ended after the Spongebob Movie. After that everything just died...

Agreed. It was supposed to about a Sponge living his life with a couple of friends, annoying Squidward without trying, and a little plankton dude trying to steal the secret formula. Now its about spongebob making a fool of himself >.<

I do not know what happened to the old spongebob, it just died a while when they made the spongebob movie. Here are my opinions on the characters:
Spongebob: I liked when he was actually really funny, when they try to make the whole show funny, they just kill it.
Patrick: Patrick is the same, more annoying though
Squidward: The same squid
Plankton: Died
Mr. Krabs: Boring
Sandy the Squirrel: She got annoying, ALOT more annoying

I miss when she and spongebob would have random karate fights >.<

Spongebob depresses my soul D:
I used to ADORE it and I remember when it would win like 5 Kid Choice Awards or 6 in a row! Those were the times when the episodes were funny...now they're plain disgusting. Most of the "jokes" are either very cheesy to the point where you would change the channel or they're meant for tiny immature kids.
My father liked Spongebob! Especially that episode when Spongebob and Patrick were selling chocolate! It was hilarious! But what now? >.< The episodes aren't even worth the time D:

Where's your gavel? Your jury? About Plankton, it would've made sense if he left after the movie.
Anyway, I just think that since it's a 7 year old geared show, it'd be hard to come up with more ideas without stretching out the same thing.
Oh, and whatever happened to Gary? Can't they include him more? (Maybe an episode where Gary and Spongebob switch places or something? Idk, anything but what's on now!! Come on!!)
What's my offense this time?

That which we call a rose...My theory: The real cast of Spongebob was murdered after the movie, and replaced with a bunch of idiotic ten-year-olds wearing costumes and forced to drink a crap load of seawater so they could breath beneath it.
And the seawater only made the ten-year-olds act even stupider.
The only characters that were replaced with people other than little idiots were: ~Squidward - replaced by a forty-year-old man who's obsessed with the arts a little bit too much. ~Plankton - Evil scientist who failed at life more than the real Plankton did ~Gary - He wasn't murdered after the movie. He was around for a few post-movie episodes, but then was snail-napped, salted to death, and then made into escargot.
And the reasons for murder: the original characters thought that the series could have nicely ended with the movie. By any other name would smell just as sweet

That's sad. I also think the story writers got slaughtered too and turned into meat patties for the frozen chicken nuggets at the supermarket.
What's my offense this time?

I never liked that show, and I don't get why everybody else at my school and my parents love him so much. stare If you want my opinion; ******** Spongebob! He's a stupid sponge with an annoying laugh, what is there to LIKE? evil
~He's a stupid sponge with an annoying laugh and has no brain and he lives in a freakin' PINEAPPLE! How is it that that pineapple doesn't spoil? ~Plankton is the stupidest, pointless, and pathetic villain ever, and I don't just say that because he looses every time. ~HOW CAN THERE BE WATER UNDER WATER? ~Better still, how can there be FIRE under water? ~Patrick quite literally HAS no brain, and he's just as annoying as Spongebob. ~Is there a point to a squirrel that lives under water? ~Sandy is utterly useless.
Sometimes I wonder if the voice actors were tortured into voicing ANY of these characters because their voices make my ears bleed! Hell if I were one of these voice actors I would be eating toothpaste for breakfast with a side order of mouthwash before going to work. Am I right or am I right?

I still like spongebob, but I think that things would've been better without plankton after the Spongebob Squarepants Movie, and I don't like that Sandy doesn't have her southern accent anymore. ._.
It's half and half for me.

Here's what I think: There are a couple of Spongebob cartoons that are being made these days that are still pretty good. Example: "Sand Castles in the Sand." The ending fight was awesome, and funny.
The problem is that there are crap spongebob episodes being made these days, and back then, EVERY episode was comedic gold!
My guess: They're running out of material. I mean, how many more times can Plankton try to steel a krabby patty, Mr. Krabs go stir-crazy over his money, Patrick go "Duh", Spongebob go jellyfishing and making Mermaid Man references, and Squidward act like a total douche before it gets old?
The show's been around for almost a decade. Unless you're The Simpsons, which is in a universe with an unlimited amount of characters and places to go, your show is going to get stale.
