 Running, running, running. It was good exercise for someone who needed it, though Ment was not one of those people. It was quite the opposite for the white and red lion, what he needed was to sit down on his behind and gorge on a meal soon, he was starting to feel the pangs from the hunger.
For the last two days, Ment had been trying to lose the trail of a pridal male who had been stalking him, because well, Ment hadn't behaved himself and decided it would be fun to try and seduce any nearby lioness he could find, and unfortunately, she was already taken. It was one of the downfalls to not using your brain very often, you had a tendency to get yourself into trouble rather often.
The tired lion rested quickly, hidden behind a thicket of bushes near a large rock structure he knew rather well. It was his birthplace, though from the scent of things, no one has been here in quite some time. The scent of a leopard was there, but it was stale, weeks old at the very least. He felt it was safe to rest here than.

 Melda felt no real need to hurry as she moved over the land, one paw softly placed in front of the other as she strolled her way towards her home. Home. It seemed like a dream! Having a home of her own.
A pride.
It wasn't exactly the most conventional of prides, true enough, but she still liked it. It seemed to suit her. No one was really that mean and she could go off roaming when it pleased her. Today had felt like a roaming day, the pink female sauntering her way slowly about, just taking in the sights, until she felt she was no longer alone. There was another scent in the air, ripe from a good deal of running around, if she had to guess.
"Hello?" she asked softly, looking around, "is someone there?"

Ment picked his head up from the thicket of bushes, bright red mane clashing with the brown-green of the thicket. His ears perked forward as he heard the soft greeting echo over the area. It sounded like a female, but he was upwind so he wasn't as sure as he normally was.
He looked around for only moments before he spotted her, a white and pink spotted lioness. She was interesting to look at, as he never saw many lionesses with spots on them, generally those were seen more on cheetahs and leopards.
He got up from where he was relaxing for a moment so she could see where he was and greeted her back, "Hello. What brings the pretty lady around these parts?"

Oh, it was a male. She watched him, tilting her head to the side. A nice red mane he had on him, with dark and light red fur. she hadn’t seen a lot of white males before. Actually, this was the first time she’d seen one, to be perfectly honest.
It was pretty interesting, really.
“Well, I was just looking around,” the female said lightly, “sometimes I like to go exploring… what about you? Do you have a reason for being out here? Not that I’m adverse to the company, of course.” She smiled warmly at that. It felt like it had been a while since she’d had a nice conversation. Or maybe she was just feeling a bit lonely. Missing someone.
“Ah! And my name is Melda. Sorry, I’m so rude.”
