So for those of you who are out to atleast one person utside of Gaia (hopefully most of you are) I want to know how was coming out for you? How long ago and to whom? Technically I've been out for three and half years and I came out to my best friend Katie. It started with her asking me if I had a crush on her because I was always around and I used to play with her hair. I told her that it was just a phase I was going through and she told me that she didnt' think so. We droped the subject and never spoke of it again. It wasn't until a year later that I came out to everyone else in my sophmore year of high school. It was two and half years ago on October 4, 2007.

let's see... the first time i came out to ANYONE was eighth grade, so almost three years now, i guess. like, not everyone knows, but most people who actually know me (not just a lil "hey" in the hallway) know. i remember lots of "saw that coming"s but also a lot of those "wtf?!" faces, followed by, "eh, makes sense" and whatnot.
then i remember my parents. now THAT was terrible. but my favorite was my female cousin's. "see, i wasn't sure, and you're brother and i were talking about it, so i told him i would just ask you the next time i saw you." gotta love the bluntness of the younger generations of my fam. (younger than my uncles, that is. she's five years older than me)

Lets see...the first time i came out i was unaware that i was coming out...i was in first grade, and there was this fine boy named Paris MacDonald, who i just wanted to kiss...but then, I was raised on the factor of boys kissing girls, so I thought that I had did something wrong....so I did what any sensible (maybe insensible) 1st grader would have done...I told my teacher. She immediately called my dad, and lets just say he had me uprooted from that school a week later. I had to reconfirm who I was with my dad my freshman year in high school. But in the end, he got over it...though he is under the implications that im bi because i do not act "stereotypically" gay, (i think my dad is just lost sadly).lol. My mom on the other hand, wouldnt stop asking me questions, she was UBER excited about it. My dad is my dad though, I just think its because Im gay and his first child that he was so reluctant.

The first time I came out to anyone was in the summer after 6th grade, umm... roughly 2 years from this coming summer, so in June/July 2008. I told it to my 2 bffs at the time. Garrett(Snowball96) was like, 'wtf'. Cassie just said, cool. She is transexual at the moment. =)
It was until February 2009 that I came out to a LOT of people. They still love me. =3 I am so happy that I have many friends that love me for me, even if I am bi. =) One of my guy friends gets a kick out of it because 2 of my girl friends are bi. X3 Ya gotta love my crew. biggrin
My parents know something about my sexuality but they don't know the truth.
EDIT: My mom once asked me if I was lesbian because of the way I dress in just jeans and a t-shirt. rofl
EDIT #2 on November 27th, 2010: I came out to my parents about a month ago after I said I did not want to go to church anymore because of the homophobic priest. My mom said that what ever the priest said was true. I started crying and I ran to my room.
Later, my dad walked in and asked me if I liked girls AND guys. I said yes. And then he proceeded in his father-daughter love speeches and said he will always love me because I am still his daughter and I will be/am the same person as before. 3nodding So touching.
My mom, well, I would say she acts like she doesn't care. ^__^

Well, I remember it was snowing in the eighth grade and I was doing group work with this guy I liked at the time, it was french class. I suck at french... So I leaned over and asked "How do I say 'I think you're really good looking' in french?" and his eyes flew opened and he said "YOU'RE GAY?" loudly and my two best friends flew around and no one else heard. I like whispered; "Well, technically I'm bisexual..." and he started laughing and started teasing me by rubbing my leg under the desk and whispering "You like that, eh?" at which I ended up slapping him in the head with a binder because this other guy I liked turned around. My friends where happy/angry because they figured but I never told them. I got detention for beating him with a binder (which I got out of with the "Good kid" routine...) ^^ Good times <3

I actually came out to my friend... this is how the conversation went about. (Playing Left 4 Dead)
"So dude I-Hunter on your left." "Thank you. You were saying?" "What if I-zombie on your tail." "b*****d. Continue-s**t, I shot the gas can." "Eh, I have a Molotov. Any way so what if I Goddamn it, there's a ********, I'm down... well, now that I'm dead, you may proceed." "So, what if I-" "Horde." "I'm bi." "What?! Oh s**t! I died again."

Well, my closest friends knew for a while. There was no problem there.
When I came out to my mom it was by complete accident [because I'm stupid like that] and I asked her a question about gay people [it was a few years ago so I can't remember what it was] and she said "Why do you want to know? Are you gay?" and I meant to say "no" just because I was scared to tell her, and stupid me said "yea..." instead. She started crying so I was like "Oh crap!" but then she sat me down and talked to me and said that she was glad that I told her and she gave the whole "You're my daughter, I'll love you no matter what" lecture...
The problem was with my dad... He had a problem with it... and he would never say it to my face... he always said something to my brothers or my sister... who would go tell me about it... and I've "talked" with my dad a million times over it, and he always denies it... he still does... but it's been a while, and he pretty much seems to have forgotten about it, because he doesn't want to fight anymore...
So I guess I'm kind of lucky it went semi-smoothly...
I still don't EVER talk to my mom about relationship issues though... That's just way too awkward...
Her boyfriend knows too because she told him, which made me mad, but he just embarrases me with it... he's always like "Let's go out and find you a nice girlfriend!"
Urg. Adults are so annoying! XD
Update: Me and my dad are cool now. :]
