Anansi's footfalls were scuffy as she paraded through town, head held high, ribbon bouncing in her blond hair, the bangs now streaked with orange and pink. Impulse had put the colors in her hair just earlier, when she'd visited him -- Oh how she loved that guy! He was so cute, too! She clasped her hands together in a clap and bounced along, sneakers skidding as she began to splash through the puddles made by early-day rain. She laced her fingers behind her head and began to hum a tune -- a tune that her mother had once hummed to her, once upon a time. It made Anansi a little sorrowful to remember her... But now was not the time for sorrow!

Airi headed down the sidewalk, keeping to the shadows and trying to blend in for the most part. It was more habit than anything else that made her walk that way. It just didn't seem to make sense that she should draw attention to herself. Those that did were probably fools or just children. Seeking attentions no matter what sort of attention it may be. Ugh. Her mood was a bit fool today, which contrasted with how lovely it was outside right now. Shrugging it off as was her habit with such things, Airi kept on going at her regular pace, glancing around and not spotting the other girl until she had nearly run headlong into her.

"Holycrapoly!" Anansi wasn't looking where she was going -- as usual -- and slammed straight into a flop-earred kitty with a long tail. She fell backwards, landing with an oof on her butt, tail fanned out behind her. Riiiiiiight into a puddle. "Aw man...." She leapt to her feet rather ungracefully, shaking water from her hands before looking back up at the black-haired girl with curiosity in her baby blues. "Who're you, anyway, pal?"

The urge to snarl at the other girl was nearly uncontrollable, she had just been knocked on her a** and into what felt most likely like mud and then had water shaken onto her. Two of her least favorite things were now all over her, water and mud. .... Was she mental? Why would she shake water ontop to add insult to the injury? Most sidewalks didn't attract mud, but hey, she had always been so very lucky in life, right? "I'm Airi. What's it to you?"

Anansi blinked, surprised at the female's sudden rage. Her ears dropped and so did her hands and she stood there dumbly for a moment. "Um... Nothing?" She frowned and ducked her head, afraid of being yelled at -- she hated to be yelled at. Hated it. She took a deep, steadying breath, then offered a hand boldly. "I'm Anansi."

Hell. What was she doing? Biting the head off of a kid, she had very few rules when it came to others. Others could be sneered at, looked down upon, and just ignored for the most part, but kids.. well most kids still had that spark of imagination and the aura of innocence that was too pure to be ******** with. She sighed and stood up, dusting off her disgusting skirt, "Meet'cha, Anansi" There. That had been civil.

Anansi smiled brightly as she wasn't yelled at, only grumbled at. Grumbling she could take! Her humans had grumbled, when she'd messed up their plants... She'd spread dirt everywhere, several times, and only they'd grumbled. She took her skirt in both hands and did a short curtsy, giggling and covering her mouth with her hand. "Who're you?" Nosy as ever.

Standing with one hip cocked and an eyebrow raised, Airi stood not that much taller than the girl so her pose and expression probably didn't do much to incite fear or anything interesting. Sometimes she hated being so damn tiny and china-doll like in appearance. Her mind had wandered while the other giggled and curtsied, she'd die before she curtsied. "I'm Airi as I said.. what else is there of me to be?"

Anansi blinked at her. Ohhhh riiiight, she'd asked that question already. So she clasped her hands together and ran a little circle around the small female with the floppy ears before pausing. "You eaten lunch?" Her head tilted to the side, ears pricked forwards, eyes gleaming. "Cuz I know of a great place for grub!"

Airi didn't really know if she wanted to go and get something to eat, but the little girl seemed really excited about it and the least she could do for yelling was to go along.. if nothing sounded appetizing then she'd just excuse herself and make her way back to the Ruins. She had cold chicken there if she wanted it but a bit of civility wouldn't kill her, 'Okay... lead the way then to this great place to eat" She even tried to give a half-smile. Her legs felt disgusting still cut up and now the backs were muddy.

Anansi bounced up and down, jumping from foot to foot as Airi agreed to come with her. She didn't seem to mind her wet skirt at all as she pranced down the street, ponytail bobbing as she moved. She was hardly graceful -- yet 10 year olds usually weren't. "It's the biggest gourmet feast ever!" she crowed, turning the corner behind a restaurant.
No, the ragdoll didn't go INTO the restaurant. She went behind it, to a big, green dumpster that was just waiting for her to climb in. "See? Whaddid I tell ya, pal?"

Oh dear god.
The child actually thought that she was going to eat out of a dumpster. She had been through that part of her life and interest in going back to it could best have been described as nil. Eating the unwanted trash of others? She had learned to hunt. The work had been hard, and the food less than delicious, but food was food.
"I uh.. err..."

Anansi grinned at her. "This is like... Very good food, believe me!" With that, she leapt up, caught the rim of the dumpster, and climbed inside, tail disappearing behind her. "Ohmygoooooosh! ITS SO FULL! C'mere, C'mere, miss Airi! Look! FISHSTICKS!" The girl was nearly hyperventilating as she leaned over the rim with a box in her hands, outsretched to the Scottie. "Fishsticks! MMM." She stuffed one in her mouth happily. Oh the joys of being a child...

Her stomach was in an uproar, how was she going to tolerate this pain. The girl was eating disgusting warm leftover fish out of the dumpster as if it was the most satisfying food she'd ever had. How could that be possible? For her that sort of food was only good enough to feed to scavengers, and the ones that ate the remains of others.
Her eyes were huge as she continued to stare in disgust, her expression entirely blank though so as to save the girl pain from being seen through the eyes of someone in disgust and horror.

Anansi was unphased as she popped another lukewarm fishstick into her mouth, chewing thoughtfully. She loved dumpster diving, and this was the alltime best place to go! She wanted -everyone- to know about her find! She was just a little bundle of eagerness.
Glancing down, she noted Airi's wide eyes and stopped, mid-chew. "What?" Her mouth was full of food and she quickly swallowed it. "Aren't you hungry? I could find you some leftover chicken if you wanted?..."
