The sun hung low in the sky sending a brilliant shimmer over Elemi Lake. The surface of the water was very calm and almost peaceful with Pidgey flying overhead. The pokemon seemed to dance in the rhythm of nature as the scurried about. The trees swayed gently in the breeze, framing the lake and giving the woods an ominous glow. The lake's water was clear enough to see a good depth down where the water pokemon swam and played. Some even jumped out of the water at times, rippling the surface before it once again was still.

"Blossom, use Razor Leaf!" The calm was broken when screen of sharp leaves hitting it's target. "That's the way to do it Blossom, good job!" The pokemon had fainted and the Ivysaur was feeling proud of her power. Cal patted Blossom on the head as she wiped the sweat from her brow. They had been having an intense training session; first with Skye, who turned out to be an utter failure, then with Tybalt. Blossom had been the last and seemed to show the most progress. "Let's rest a bit." Cal beckoned Blossom to join her at the base of a tree to rest. She sat down-her purple shirt and gray jeans dusty and dirty from training- while Blossom plopped down beside her. Cal and her pokemon smiled as they stared at the water. "Someday, we'll be on raids with Team Rocket." She patted her again and rested her eyes.

Cal gasped, jumping up to defend herself. He arms were in a balled into fist with her feet square on the ground. "I'm warning you! I-I know karate!" She lied as her eyes adjusted from coming out of a half sleep state. Blossom took a defensive position as well with her vines at the ready. "Saur!" She growled out at the foe, snapping her vines hoping to be as intimidating as possible.

She soon realized that it was Panther who had startled he. Her arms dropped down to her sides. "Give me a heart attack why don't you!" Cal smiled wide as she ran up to give him a hug. In the back of her mind she knew that she should have been on her toes and ready for anything. Blossom sat down, confused by the two. "What are you doing around here?" She beamed at him with warm eyes.

Cal pulled away from Panther and rubbed the back of her head. "I... acted without thinking." She shrugged turned away from him so that he wouldn't be able to see the embarrassed blush plaster on her face. "I wish I knew Karate. You scared me so bad that I didn't know what to do! I forgot that Blossom was there." Blossom huffed and went to the lake to drink water, feeling a bit neglected. "So you're training, eh? I was doing the same thing." She smile at her friend with a sudden burst of energy; she was definitely wide awake.

"Skye is Skye, as always. He just got finished terrorizing this one." She pointed to Blossom who had returned to her side. She sat down with her head held high at Panther's comment. "She is pretty strong! I'm proud of her." She patted Blossom on her head. "How's Shade?" She hadn't seen him in what seemed like ages.

Cal laughed, "Sure! Maybe he'll be happy to see Skye." She plucked the ball from he waist and called out Skye in a bright flash of light.

Blossom braised herself because she knew who would be coming out of that ball. Skye landed on her head and she was quick to use her vines to get him off, sitting him on the ground. Skye ran up to Panther's head, snuggling into it, creating tiny sparks.

The little Pichu looked up from Panther's head at Shade. He sparked some more becoming over excited as he reached his tiny paw to Shade. His first friend had evolved into a Gengar, though he wasn't able to greet him when he first saw the evolution. She smiled and did a few turns on Panther's head, working up a few more harmless sparks.

"Gosh Skye, calm down." She laughed a bit at Panther and Skye.

"It's kind of cute actually." She smiled as the two were caught up in each other's presence. "An it's been a while since I've seen you!" She lightly punched him in the arm.

Blossom stuck her tongue out at Skye who returned the same gesture, pointing her out to Shade. ["She's fun to terrorize!"] He smiled mischievously at Shade, slowly climbing down from his perch on Panther's head.

"Yeah...." Cal winced at the memory of the battle she witnessed between Panther and Seth. "That was pretty rough to watch, I couldn't imagine how it must have been for you..." She mumbled, looking at the pair of pokemon play.

Skye wiggled from Shad's grasp and sat on his head, cuddling into it. ["But it is really fun, you should try!"] He smiled down at Blossom who just sat quietly looking at the two.
