Hello My Fellow Gaians.
Good News Everyone.
Twilight is now a Graphic Novel.
And I want to know what you think about it?
Good or Bad?
Or just plain...Strange or Unique?

*!*#@$*)#$*@*

Personaly I think its great since many people didn't like the movie or people hate reading regular books.
((Or its just the fact that the author is trying to get manga readers to read it. ))
I enjoyed it. Unlike the movie since the movie didnt have the right actors to match the characters.
and it many stayed by the book.
I recomend everyone to read it even if you dont like twilight,
It also introduces some artists to the korean style of art insted of japanese style.

I'm going to say this from a completely non-bias point of view, based solely on the graphic novel itself.

Why on earth did they hire this person as a comic artist? It's been made clear based on interviews and early previews that Young Kim has never made a comic/graphic novel before. It's clear that Young Kim is a good/decent artist, but (s)he doesn't have a good grasp of storytelling conventions within a comic. Pages are cluttered or arranged awkwardly, and the speechbubbles, oh sweet Jesus the speechbubbles.

Not only are the speechbubbles life-less, inorganic ellipse-tool bubbles, but there's that random diagonal balloon that just throws the whole page off.

That is just my two cents on the graphic novel itself. I'm sure Young Kim will improve as a comic artist as (s)he continues to draw more comics, but as it is, it would be very painful for me to read.

Also, I dislike Twilight.

I saw it at Anime Boston yesterday. My first thought was "Oh, god, the over marketing of this sh*# continues." XD

I did pause long enough to thumb through it to see the art. The art is OK, but I did not like the style, personally. The speech bubbles were lacking any emotional context and just seemed too plain. I decided not to waste my money on it since I suspected I would have been disappointed in it anyway.

Oh, there was an Edward cosplayer. I laughed at him...he was SPARKLEY!!!! He was a good sport about it, he laughed too. biggrin

I dislike twilight too. One day my friend show mw the graphic novel, I'm not interested so I just open the book and look on thier drawing, then I laugh. The expressions in the graphic novel is so fake.

Why would they make this?!?! Plus that one page Kupo highlighted for us was very hard to follow which makes it loom like a pathetic attempt!

Young Kim really dropped the ball. She had a chance to redeem this failing franchise and couldn't deliver. I got the manga as a gift since I've been manga hoarding for new muses and I almost threw this back at the poor person.
