•Understand that 90% of the time, I operate on a semi-literate to literate roleplay standard. I expect at least one paragraph per post (4 - 6 sentences) If you find you are having a hard time coming up with something, take your time, or simply explain that you are having writers block. Be wary with this, however, as I will not be very amused if every second post is two sentences with a writers block excuse attached. Also, no use of ChatSpeak will be accepted - it makes me want to stab my eyes out and I happen to like my eyes. Thanks.
•No Godmodding will be permitted in any shape or form when I roleplay with anyone. If you do this, I will tell you and wait until the post is modified. My characters are my own and are not to be controlled by others unless I give express permission beforehand - and the same is to be said of yours. I don't mind if you want to knock my character silly, but ask me first. You will note that I always ask, no matter how small a thing it may seem. Please extend me the same courtesy.
•Avoid clairvoyance (Reading a characters thoughts and having your character respond to them, or having your character know things you as a player know but the character should not)
•Mary Sue's and Larry Stu's are a peculiar thing for me. They make me want to laugh in mockery, cry in shame at humanity, and exhibit horrible violence upon them all at once. Its an odd mixture of emotion, let me tell you. So, please avoid playing Mr. / Mrs. Perfect with me. I prefer being of a stable mindset.
•For the love of God, leave the OOC in the OOC. If there's something going on that has you needing to talk to me, (Either you're mad at me, concerned for me, annoyed with life in general) don't take it out on my characters through yours. Address the situation or separate yourself from it. There's no reason to ruin a roleplay just because OOC / IRL sucks. Take a break for awhile then come back to it, if you need to, and remember I'm more than willing to hear you out if you just need to vent a bit - but in a strictly OOC fashion.
•Romance is not my top priority. While I don't mind romance, I don't think it should be the #1 only awesome reason for roleplay, orz. =.= I love character development and believe in natural forming relationships with my characters. In the event I do agree to a romantic relationship, it will be discussed OOCly first and it should be noted that I do mostly Male x Male pairings, as I play those the best, but I am open to Male x Female. Female x Female I simply can't do. I've tried, but I can't.
•Respect me, and I guarantee you will receive the same courtesy. I'm actually a very friendly person and very open minded, so please don't feel put off by my rules. These are just things I put up cause after all my years of roleplaying, I have gone through some pretty horrific stuff and I'd really like to avoid repeating those same experiences of utter fail, y'know? XD I like to have fun and enjoy myself and I like to surround myself with people who have the same values - so lets have fun together and get to know one another and the characters, shall we? ^_^

Personality: Luminati is a mercurial and enigmatic individual, whose true motivations and intentions are never fully known. Although he has many morals and ethical codes, not all of them follow the typical course of societal views. He is often ambiguous, but he is always kind in his own way. He often appears to be very aristocratic and elegant, but there are streaks of mischief within him that can make him as playful as anyone else. There is a darker side to Luminati, but it rarely rears its head and when it does, the reasons tend to be sound.
History: Luminati was born precisely three hours before his twin brother, Nicht. During that time, his father wrapped him up and delivered him to a friend, who took Luminati far from his family. Shortly before their birth, their mother had dreamed a vision of what was to become of her sons and informed her mate that she wished to attempt to defy fate. She never told him the details, only that Luminati and Nicht had to be seperated at birth and left unaware of their relationship for as long as possible.
Luminati was taken in by a family whose main belief was that if you wanted something in life, you were to do everything in your power to obtain it, regardless of the cost or the consequences. Thievery, manipulation, secrets, power plays and survival of the quickest were the main themes of his early childhood. He learned young how to lie, cheat and maneuver others to do what he needed as well as the consequences for failing to see when he himself was being manipulated. While it was undoubtedly easy to lose any sense of right and wrong in such an environment, especially when young, Luminati's core being kept him from falling in to deep. Eventually, he left his adoptive family and lived for a short time on his own, before he was taken in by a Constellation who taught him the complete reverse of his earlier values.
This Constellation was very wise, if perhaps a bit too rich for Luminati's likings. The young Twilif took these teachings to heart, however, and came to an agreement in himself. He lives his life now, walking his own path between the darkness and the light, picking and choosing which of the two best suit his motives of the moment. Whether he chooses the light or the darkness permanently, or falls off his middle ground, is yet to be seen.

Personality: Nicht is a shady enigma in many ways, coming across as cruel and aristocratically cold. He is often condescending and vicious, with no patience for fools or loud mouths. He mocks the cocky and sneers at the cowardly -- in truth, he detests nearly everyone. He's quite anti-social and prefers his privacy, though he has become remotely tolerant, which is scads better then he used to be. His motivations are often unknown and his loyalties to people are mercurial at best -- only his loyalty to the desert is firm and endless.
History: Nicht's parents passed away in a fire shortly after he and Luminati were born, which escalated the turn of fate their mother had been attempting to bypass in the beginning. Already grieving for his parents loss, things were taken to a worse level when the townspeople blamed Nicht for the event and claimed, essentially, that he had murdered his own parents. Unable to find anyone willing to hold their hand to him or accept him, Nicht ran away and was eventually adopted by a mercenary who took pity on him.
This mercenary helped Nicht overcome the loss for his parents and the pain of accusation in a terrible manner. Nicht learned to let go of the displaced guilt he felt over his parents deaths by killing others, and gained a sense of vengeance towards his townsfolk for becoming what they accused him to be. For every person he killed, the pain lessened until eventually, he had locked away all of his emotions. The mercenary never treated Nicht as a child and never permitted Nicht to behave as one - he healed his own wounds and was never consoled for any hurts or worries and was forced to manage on his own. So when his Dreamweaving ability first showed itself, he had no idea how to control it and nobody to talk to.
So it was that for a brief time, Nicht was nearly driven insane by the power of other people's dreams, which he could not block out. When his mind eventually screamed out in fear, his power reached the mind of someone who could help - her name was Celestine Kyanite, and both she and her son, just a bit younger then Nicht, came and found him. From that day on, Celestine took over raising Nicht along with the help of her son and, occasionally, her mate. They helped Nicht to come to terms with his gifts, as well as his past and eventually managed to stop him from burying his true feelings by ways of murder and cruelty. Nicht had just reached a turning point to the good side when Celestine was murdered defending her sovereign from an assassination.
Nicht regressed, actively hunting the men that killed the only person he`d ever truly admired and who he had come to see as a mother. When he finished, he returned to Lapis and the duties he had been left to by Celestine, and now lives for the most part by following the morals Celestine instilled upon him, with occasional regressions.
