Umm....WOW. This episode was epic! One of the best i've seen this whole season!

ASH!!! I was like, "whoa! no way!" I guess this does confirm that he did indeed die at the roadhouse. I was still hoping that maybe he was alive and hiding somewhere but, apparently not. It was a nice suprise to see him though!

Poor Cas...I felt so bad for him. I Just wanted to give him a big ol' hug amoung other things.

I probably have other thoughts but i'm a little too excited over it to think about what I wanna write down.

How did you guys like it?

At this point I don't know what the heck will happen lol Which I kinda like, you know, not knowing..but it's kinda of annoying when you think it's going to go one way and it turns out to go in a completely different way.

But it seems like Cas is more likely to fall now. But I like my Cas being all Angely and God loving. lol

But maybe God told them to back off because he does have something planned and he wants to make sure Sam and Dean don't get in the crossfire or something like that?

I must say, I had my reservations about this episode, but on the whole, it was pretty fun.

Sorry, Beau, but I don't think that the instructions were to 'back off' in that sense. It seemed to me that God was getting tired of listening to Dean and Sam whine about being in such a hopeless situation, and just wanted them to back off bothering him. Speculation into what he's busy with otherwise aside, the prayers of two very important and very angsty twentysomethings might grind the nerves after a while.

I'm with you all on the Cas-sympathy, though. I thought my heart might break when I saw his face after the news. My boyfriend has actually speculated that this could be a turning point for Cas--one that might have the potential to lead him over to Lucifer's side. What do you guys think about that?

And to top it all off... the necklace. I hated that symbology. Lots. Supernatural viewers have had too many downer episodes lately, without that nice little zinger at the end to keep our spirits up. I know we're getting into some heavy apocalypse s**t now, but come on--wasn't the brilliance of Supernatural supposed to be that lovely balance between comedy and drama?

Ending aside, I DID really enjoy the Ash-cameo. He was just the pickup this episode needed. I mean, come on! He rescued the boys in a freaking Mucha Lucha outfit! That's pretty epic.

You know, if it makes you feel any better, we got Ash killed, too.
*throws up the horns* I'm cool with that.

Oh, and don't forget this little beauty...

In my true form, I have six wings and four faces, one of which is a lion *spirit fingers*

I had to pause the episode until I could breathe again. Oh Zach, who knew you could be such a riot? New catchphrase for when baldy shows up again--"Jeez, it's a lion! Get in the car!"

That's all very true too, God could just be tired of hearing it, I mean, i'm sure he gets a lot of whining lol especially from me

But hmmm..Cas going darkside? I don't know...it would KILL me to see that though, but this certainly makes one think that something is going to happen with him.

I really wanted him to find God though, and then save peeps during the final battle and be rewarded. But now, we'll just have to wait and see. If anything I think it will his decision to fall even more of a reality.

Yeah, I hated that the necklace was suposed to be this God finding thing. It's like when someone reads a book and they read too much into it, ya know? Making something up that really has nothing to do with the story. I wanted Dean to keep it though, but after seeing all of Sam's happy memories being ones where they caused Dean pain, I would see where he would be like, "screw you Sam" *trashes necklace*

But, ten bucks says Sam picked it up after Dean left and it's sitting in his pocket. razz

YES, the mucha lucha outfit was totally AWESOME! biggrin

Ooohhhh, so THAT was the justification for trashing the necklace! I have to admit, Beau, I had been wondering about that before you pointed out how upset Dean was with Sam for all his 'happy' memories. But that makes more sense now. It's not just that he's lost hope in God, he's also lost faith in Sam. Goddamn that's depressing.

I know, we all want Cas to find God--kind of in the same way we were rooting for Dean to find John. Except John wasn't some unknowable force of epic proportions. I don't quite know what God's involvement will be in the episodes leading up to the final battle, but my money's on both Dean and Sam saying 'yes' to their respective biblical counterparts and still overcoming the apocalypse. Cas' involvement... at this point, I think, could go either way. He'll certainly be involved; there's no question of that. But think about his track record thus far--he went from a God-abiding angel to a questioner, then a deserter, but he still looked to Anna for instruction. Wasn't used to being out on his own or thinking for himself. The only reason he rebelled at all was for Dean, as he very explicitly stated, and now his hope in the boys must be faltering, since he went out to look for god--and now THAT hope is gone.

How about some speculation, folks? I'm just kinda running my mouth, here, but I'd love to know what you think these characters will do next--Cas in particular.

Oh, and I forgot to mention earlier--what did everyone here think of the Pamela cameo? We were all over Super Ash, but what about the one other person in Heaven they managed to find? Why her, do you think? I'll give it a little time and see if I can't get a bite before I launch into my own theories.

I Don't know but something about her seemed off. She didn't grab Sam's butt and call him grumpy for one. Then she's like Dean just let everyone die, join Micheal it's the right thing to do. Ash seemed a little off too. I couldn't quite place it, maybe it's because he was the only one who figured out the heaven jumping. I mean out of all people. I don't know it seemed kind of like angle propaganda. Then again I could be wrong, but that part just seemed very strange to me when I was watching it.

By the the way I loved the memories Dean had. Him and Sammy launching fireworks. His cookie shirt and mom making pie. 3nodding

Yeah, I was like, wtf is Pam doing there? I wouldn't expect her to be the cameo but she was. and I agree with you @JustStacey, something did seem off about her too. Ash seemed like the same fun Ash, but Pam seemed kinda....I dont know...boring? Not her usual fun self.

I do have one question that, for some reason, I don't know why I've never thought of it before but....

Are they going to meet Jesus soon? I'm pretty sure Jesus was supposed to come back during the apocolypse, lol, so where is he??? I'd be kinda awesome if the boys had Jesus in their corner lol.

Same thing set my alarms off about Pam, Stacey! She was just way too mellow. I believe she was an Angel-plant to convince Dean to say 'yes' to Michael. Ash I'm not so sure about. I wouldn't put it past him to find a way to tap into Angel radio, smart as he is. Plus, it would be in his heaven to have the place wired like he did on earth. And if you take into account the idea that Dean and Sam had both been up there before, he'd certainly have reason to tap the place--to give them both information about what's going on.

And yeah, those Dean memories were fun. I've been using the phrase 'I wuv hugs' periodically since I saw the episode. Good times. And now we know why Dean loves pie so much! biggrin

I like Sam's too, though. I really had to sympathize with him, here, and was sad that Dean didn't give him more of a break. From what we know about Sam, he was happiest when he was away from the stress of the 'family business' and was just being a normal guy. And who can blame him? Despite the relationship he eventually developed with his brother (which he certainly didn't have prior to to the pilot of this show), this hunter business has caused the boy nothing but trouble. I almost wanted to call this conflict between the brothers a bit of stretch, but considering Dean's reaction to Sam's doings while he'd been in Hell, I suppose it was in character for him.

Jesus? Wow, what an idea. I sincerely doubt the show will get THAT far into it, but if they do, they'd better get it right. The man was Israeli and he'd damn well better look like one.
