[Logo, as I just found out, oooh, yesterday, is an all-gay programming cable channel from Viacom. I didn't even know it existed. Then again...my area didn't get BET until after it had been on the air probably 10 years. stressed I love special interest channels; that's what the luxury of having cable TV should be all about. Should be.
But I digress.
That's not the point.
Logo has a show, called Noah's Arc, about a group of gay black men...like Girlfriends, but with a "RuPaul" kinda spin. wink
I should have made this topic Tuesday, when they aired the shows in their entirety...but ah, well.
Discuss:
--Has anyone seen this show?
---Care to share?
--I'd suspect that a show about "down low brothas" would be less "out there" than, say, Queer as Folk (Showtime). Agree/disagree?
--Why do you think this channel hasn't been made available through all cable providers?
--Do you think it's necessary/unnecessary/interesting that they decided to make a show delving into the lives and environments of a group of gay black men?
--Any other concerns you have about these topics...]

I would love to see it, but I had to remove it from my DirecTV user profile - don't want the kids being exposed to anything they're not ready handle responsibly and maturely - but I did hear of it. Is it any good.

Being a black male myself, I have to say:
EW OMG WTF UGH DISGUSTING DOWN WITH THE CHANNEL. DOWN WITH THE CHANNEL. WHAT SELF RESPECTING BROTHA WOULD DO A SHOW LIKE THIS.
...but seriously, I find gay males to be disgusting. Strange how I feel differently about lesbians.

It's the thought of hardbody on hardbody that makes me sick. It's just not natural.

You're not born gay. You're just not. People argue the point all the time, but if you were born that way, why do people turn from gay to straight or straight to gay? You don't see people turning from black to white.

heart [I don't see it as being the same as "turning from black to white," (scientifically improbable, but cosmetically possible--look at Michael Jackson, lol. And transexuals. 3nodding ), but I don't think that people are "born gay" either. There's not supposed to be anything sexual about a child. A child doesn't even know it's sex until a certain age, right? How are any thoughts about sexuality possible??]

I like the show. The idea of making them all black is wonderful. I wasn't into it until I sat through a marathon with my sister. LOL,now I'm hooked. I can't wait for the season premiere. I hope Noah and Wade(?) make up and get back together!

heart Well that's just not nice. And yes, it is typical male BS to dislike gays but be all for lesbians rolleyes , and that's exactly what I hate stare . It makes me really annoyed because I have both lesbian and gay friends. I think it's cute and really romantic. 4laugh But lesbians... I guess as a girl, I'm more inclined to males sweatdrop . Almost similar, but I don't find lesbians to be "disgusting."
