I don't have Xbox Live!!! To me, I think the Xbox 360 is almost useless without Xbox Live. In order to survive I really need a good game!!!
Edit: Don't say anything like Halo 3 or Modern Warfare 2!!!

Mass Effect 2 is good for non-XBL fun,Forza Motorsport 3 if your into racing and customizing, GTA 4 is kinda old but its still good, Just Cause 2 is a lot of fun, and you'll easily spend 30 hours + doing all kinds of stuff in it

try splinter cell conviction, you CAN do co op online, but its still mad fun with out it and goin single player.

Nothing beats getting drunk or stoned and letting loose on a Madden or Fifa franchise mode...

hmm.
deadrising or GTA4.
open world sandbox games usually seem to be the ones that keep me coming back.
gears of war (series) is good also, its personally one of my favorite games on the 360 and the second one has bots to fight against so it can fulfill that feeling of fighting against other players on the right difficulty.
final fantasy 13 came out recently.
that might be worth checking out.
dantes inferno is practically like playing god of war on the xbox 360 if you like hack and slash games (does containe nudity if thats like morally wrong with u or something).
and if u got a harddrive u can even check out some old xbox games.
conker:live and reloaded was real fun for the first xbox.
soul calibur 4 is a fun fighing game if your interested in that.
dragon age origins is really fun and will keep u occupied for MANY hours if u like long strategy games.
left 4 dead (series)
is fun even without online but is really short and might get repetitive.
red faction guerrilla is very cool and has amazing phisics.
u can litterally destroy any building on that game realistically.
and lastly i would say mirrors edge.
awesome first person parkour game.

Online is fun too. But I love playing a two-player co-op franchise mode, I think that's the funnest. My cousin and I get high and play that all the time, haha...

Bioshock 1, I thought it was a great play, but I don't think it has much replayability. What about Elders Scroll: Oblivion?
