 ETOILEEtoile entered her side of the small arena. Today, this was more than just a practice for Oswald, her opponent, but a battle. If she won this, she could add a tally to her family's win score and possible earn a trophy. Even better, a piece of heart! They needed those pieces... "Oswald, I figured you could use a bit of... a practice with your fighting skills~" She smirked.

 Oswald entered his side of the arena. His eyes glancing about "Practice..?" He seemed surprised. This was his first battle. Will he Live up to his title wick as a "Shadow Knight"? This question ran through his head. "Fine. I accept." He nodded. Seeming more brave

Etoile's eyes seem to glaze over slightly, "Unless... you want it to be more." She looked a bit fierce, though her expression was dead looking. "It's really not fair..." She walked up to the Twilif, looking down on him, and slapped him across the face! What the heck, wasn't she like a Mother to him!? What was she doing!?

He grunted as Etoile slapped him. "Wh-what the..?" Rattled by the slap. He swung his arms as if trying to attack back.

Etoile laughed at him slighty. That was sort of...Pathetic. "Oswald, that's the saddest excuse for an attack I've ever seen!" She chuckled again. "Here, I'll give you a chance to hit me!" Etoile stood still, but would he hit or miss? Could he even hit her, her being like his mother?

He Attacked her again....this time it was different. His right eye began to glow red. He was getting serious. Yet he misses again. Shadows began forming over his body.

Etoile dodged out of the way, making him miss. she could see now, his eye glowing red. "Nice try, sweetheart..." but that saying didn't sound very caring. Etoile's eyes had no shine to them. She looked angry, but at who? Oswald? Or was it something else...
Etoile flicked her floating scarf at him like a whip, hitting his cheek again. "Why aren't you stronger?"

Taking the hit, he growled. A shadowy claw enveloped his hands. Swinging fiercely at Etoile. He managed to get her arm this time. His powers awakening.

"Ahhh!! O-Oswald!!" Her arm started to bleed profuself as his claws got her. Her hand had finally healded from the Susikoira attack a few weeks back, but now her arm? Staggering back a bit, she held her red arm. Looking at him, "How could you!?"

This wasn't the little Twilif She knew. This was the Shadow Knight. Fighting for survival...and a chance to prove himself. Was Etoile's attacks enough to awaken his true power? He clawed at Etoile again, this time, He scratched her leg.

She looked at him again. this was definetly not the little Oswald she knew. "You're the real thing, aren't you?" she questioned. Not noticing, he slashed at her again! She couldn't defend herself nor was she unable to attack.

His body was now covered in shadow. Both his eyes were red. Though it wasn't exactly Oswald, Etoile could sense him...deep inside. He was holding back in his attacks. But none-the-less he attacked again but missed...on purpose?! She knew now. Her little Twilif was still there

"Oswald...you're still there." She sighed in relief. but then got angry again. "Why!? Why are you holding back on me!? I'm nobody!!" She charged at him and headbutted him across the area onto the ground. Looks like she wasn't holding back...fully.
