Aki: Someone has the audacity to keep a freakin' chicken in their backyard? -sly grin as he peers over the top of the fence, teetering on the top, that stupid fowl cluck-cluck-clucking as she pecks the ground- Hnnnnnn... How to have a little fun, eh? -talking to himself, he does this often when he's wanting a fix-

Caroline: -sitting off to the side, observing said chicken and gives a bit of a little smile as the chickens scurry around for food in the ground or whatever- Cluck, cluck, cluck. -chuckles happily and flicks her stripped tail, ears twitching when she hears a small voice-

Aki: -has eyes only for that little white hen, never seeing or hearing another person. He slips into the back yard and begins to stalk the stupid fowl, tailless rump up in the air. He lunges, letting out a soft 'aiiiiiii!' sound as he wraps both arms around the chicken, who's scrambling and screeching suddenly-

Caroline: -jumps up at the screeching and races to the chicken, growling as she seen the cat on it and pushed him off of the bird, getting in fron of it and all protective, hands on her hips- What do you think you're doing?!

Aki: -is scratched and pecked, his heart pounding -- this was what he needed all along! Fix of adrenaline! But it's short lived as an older girl shoves him back. He hisses and swipes at her, locking eyes with her- What? That -your- chicken or something?

Caroline: -growled a bit and narrows her eyes at the boy- It might not be my chicken, but I watch over them! Why are you attacking her? -gently-

Aki: -rolls his eyes and then shrugs, stepping back, sad that his heartbeat's evening out- Nn... If it's not your chicken, then it's not your business -ma'am- -stiffly, icily- Besides...I was just looking for some fun. That's all. -head turns to the side just a bit, arms crossing over his chest- You against keeping kids from having a good time?

Caroline: -drops her hands and sighs softly, pushing a hand through her hair- No. But... don't hurt the chicken. There's other ways you can have fun. Like, playing with other cats, or...the small baby humans.

Aki: -calm now, ears flicking back against his head with a small amount of disdain- Babies are disgusting. -sniffs- Besides...I hate chickens. I hate any sort of bird. They're dirty and smell... -looks at her, one eye closing- Who're you anyways? You don't have a collar...you live here?

Caroline: -shakes her head- I don't. I just come here and observe them. I like birds. They're kind of funny. -gives a soft laugh- I do not have a collar. It came off a long time ago; over two years. I live on the streets, anywhere I can. But I tend to gravitate towards this place. It's a chicken farm. They make their living because of eggs from these birds.

Aki: -blinks at her, looking quite reserved. So she...didn't live hear and she still protected the fowl? He snorts softly- Birds are winged rats -opinionated shrug- So you're a freecollar... The parents are freecollars... I still have mine. -touches it, raking his claws against the fabric, obviously not happy about it-

Caroline: Oh? Well, then they'll take it off of you! -smiles a bit- Or I would for my children if I had any. -moved a bit closer, looking at his collar- It's a pretty collar. What is your name, little one? I'm Caroline.

Aki: -looks surprised -- he'd never thought of actually asking one of his parents to remove it for him! But Kanaye would never let him live it down. He scowls- It's just a scrap of fabric -blunt snort- I'm Aki. Just Aki. -offers a hand as a formality, though the idea of touching her made him antsy-

Caroline: -took his hand loosely and lightly, shaking it for a brief moment before letting go and chuckling- You.. are a very serious boy. If you want some real fun, why not try to snatch hot dogs from the street vender? I see other kittens attempt.

Aki: I am. -nods solemnly, but he ponders her idea, wiping his hand on his pants- Hm... Other kittens aren't as slippery as me -small smirk- Do -you- like fun, Caroline? -looks at her, one brow raised-

Caroline: I always have fun. -not sure wha he means, bu she nodded a bi- But, I can do something with you, if you want. I like playing.

Aki: -blinks, almost horrified- N-No thanks... -keeps a calm facade. He didn't -play-. He thrill-seeked. There was a difference. Playing was for -children-- You know...you should really chase one of these chickens you like so much. It's amusing to see something that trusts you become frightened... -a dark smile creased his lips and he turned away, hopping back up on top of the fence- Nyah. I'm gonna go find a few dogs to rile up. -wiggles his bobtail, not bothering to wave to her- Later.

Caroline: -frowns and follows him- You're going o get hurt! -scared, obviously and easily catches up to him- It's horrible if you hurt someone you trust and that trusts you. That would be like making your parents scared of you. Would you want to do that?

Aki: -pauses, ears pulling back in disdain at her following him like a freaking shadow. He didn't need anyone!- My parents aren't afraid of anything -huffs- My father's Master of the Plaza, thanks much. Besides, I'm too quick to be caught by any dirty dogs. I just like to see the confusion in their eyes when I scratch 'em. -shoots her a smirk-

Caroline: .. -sighed a little, brows knitting together- Aki... Why do you do things so dangerous? -his parents meant nothing; she didn't know many cats-

Aki: -grins at her- I'm a thrill-seeker. That's what I do. Besides -shrugs and spreads his arms wide- It's fun.

Caroline: Until you get hurt.

Aki: Never gotten hurt before. -eyes her, tail flicking in annoyance -- adults had no sense of fun.

Caroline: ....Do you know what gives me a rush? -grins a bit- Jumping from he roofs of buildings. We could do that.

Aki: -lifts his lip in a half-sneer, feeling a rush of his temper at her for not quite an apparent reason, but he finally shrugs- I'm suddenly not in the mood. I think I'll go home and read -lies, tipping his head back-

Caroline: Oh? What do you read? -interesed, moving a bit closer-

Aki: -groans inwardly- Thrillers. Horrors. Anything with alot of action, guts and blood. -smirk- Not some sappy romance novels like you probably read. -hops onto the other side of the fence and struts off towards the street, knowing the girl will follow-

Caroline: -does follow, grinning a bit- I read everything. So, I know what kind of books you read. I prefer mystery.

Aki: They're too predictable. -rolls his eyes, knowing she can't see them, and stuffs his hands in his pockets -- he heads back towards home, hoping to shrug her off later. He'd have to wait to chase the dogs til she was gone, besides, it was getting hazy out. Sunset would soon be upon them and Father didn't like him out after dark. He sticks out his lip at the thought of being bossed around like a child-

Caroline: -follows him still, nodding- Some can be, actually. But there are some good ones out there. -nodded, getting the sinking feeling she wasn't wanted around him, started slowing down and playing with her hair- ....Do... you not like me?

Aki: -pauses, turning to her- Uh. No? -shoots her a smug grin- But don't feel bad. I don't like anyone. -bats his eyelashes at her- Why? Do you like me? You shouldn't? I'm a reckless jerk who thinks grownups are full of it. -openly knows this- Plus you stopped my chicken-fun.

Caroline: -ears flatten a bit and she forces to keep a smile on her face; she hated it when people didn't like her, she tried, but she just couldn't seem to make a friend- I was.. hoping we could be friends, but if you don't want to... I can leave..

Aki: -blinks at her, confused now- Why would you wanna be freinds with me? I just gave you a valid reason not to be. Why can't you just accept that I'm a stubborn jerk? -turns away again- Whatever. I'm going home. Catch me in a better mood sometime and maybe -- just maybe -- I'll like you back.

Caroline: -doesn't follow him this time, just sighs and kind of stands there and watches him go, a frown firmly in place- Bye....

Aki: -waves distractedly behind him and trots off, not feeling guilty in the least-
