Ruins of Chicago
Chicago lays in desolate ruins. A city known for corruption and despair finally seemed to get what it deserves. Skyscrapers seems to have their tops ripped off like cereal boxes. Cars charred and deserted are the only things to fill the empty streets. Fire hydrants sit open, yet not a drop of water escapes due to the fire responses brave efforts to stop the meta human wild fire that was reducing the city to ashes. The occasionally looter would run by and then disappear again. Rats roam the streets without fear for humans any longer. However in the distance the Seers Tower can be seen. This Tower was remolded to withstand attacks by mutants or any other supernatural being and this is the refuge of the survivors of Chicago. Armored buses are the only movement that remains constant, they patrol the streets in search of any survivors that may not have been brought to the tower during the great evacuation. Soldiers occasionally shoot down a monster or two that have been infected by the government in failed super soldier tests. The bodies tend to explode and spread the virus, causing others to mutate into these failed super soldiers, which is why they have to conserve their ammo for hordes of these things. They stand vigilant and scared out of their minds, knowing they might not return home, alive.
