 Sonnet was enjoying the walk in the forest, having flown down from the mountain where he was training. Enjoying having the free time to relax, though he often found that he was thinking about Chan when he wasn't occupied. Blushing as this occurs to him, thinking that he should have a look and see what nice things he could find for his gift to her this week. Never taking anything amazing but usually finding something he thought she would think pretty or interesting.
Starting to look around as he walks, smiling as he thinks over his last gifts and wonders what else he might be able to find this time. Stopping as he passes a large bush, looking round... The bush had ears, straightening and leaning close, giving the brown ears a sniff, not able to see the soquili they were attached too.

 Elliot was dozing inside a bush, his thinking was that no one would see him having a nap if he was in there, he was just dropping into a deep sleep when something started sniffing his ears, Wait!? they can see my ears?! he thought cursing himself a little. Elliot jumped up out of the bush, shaking the leaves off his pelt, every nerve tense, ready for anything, eyes narrow as he assessed this stallion in front of him.

Sonnet blinked at the other male, mostly surprised at coming face to face with him. Though he was also going over in his head the fact that this soquili had what looked like rabbit ears. Opening his mouth to say Hi, though he closed it again as he noticed the other stallion didn't look all that happy. Taking a step back not sure what was going to happen... Offering a smile, though it looked a little unsure.

Elliot laid his ears back, "what do you want, and why were you sniffing around my resting place?" he said eyes narrowing more, really annoyed at being disturbed, "tell me now or regret it" he practically growled. He eyed this male up, he was young, and had wings, that was the others advantage, but Elliot had experience on his side.

Sonnet tilted his head, not sure what the male was so annoyed about. "I just noticed your ears poking out the bush. I meant nothing by it." Having just been confused about why there were ears sticking out the bush, though had he known that they were attached to a moody male he would have left well alone. "Sorry for disturbing you."

Elliot's frown lessened a little "you shouldn't go snifing around peoples heads" he snapped realising this male was younger than him, probably not long grown, and therefore wasnt a very worthy opponent to him, or so he thought anyway.

Sonnet nodded, the stallion was right, but then again never having seen a soquili with long ears like that he hadn't thought they would be attached to anything. "Your right... Though I didn't think that they would be attached... to a soquili.... But I'm sorry." Looking sheepish, trying not to make things worse though he had a horrible feeling that he might have just put his foot in it.

Elliot looked this young male up and down, deciding he wasnt a great challenge he softened up a little... but only a very little, "you should know better than to assume all soquili are the same" he commented eyeing the four wings on his back, and tha smaller wings on his feet and ears.

Sonnet looked at his wings too and grinned. "Maybe but I know several like me, your the first I've seen like you." Relaxing a bit as he seemd to be out of imminant danger of being trampled. "But then again I should have known they were a little to high up for any other kind of animal."

Elliot looked around, "well yeah, unless the Hare was standing on something behind the bush" he said, attempting to make a joke, but failing since he didnt smile, "so young stallion, what's your name?" he asked, trying to be civil

"My name is Sonnet, what is yours?" Looking back round at the eared stallion as he asks, his head tilting slightly. Thinking to himself that the ears were the only resemblance this thorny stallion had with a hare.

Elliot shrugged as much as a Soquili could, and rested his weight on his rear, ready for action at any second, "I'm Elliot, Elliot March" he said, curtly, but not with as much annoyance as before, the stallion before him, despite being an adult in size and form, seemed very much like a lost Colt trying to be the best he could be. He sighed "what brings you here Sonnet?" he asked trying to make polite conversation, something that he wasn't best skilled at.
