Nono, not have someone POST in the forum saying that someone posted in it.

Just have someone jump on, one of the crew thats regular, change the picture next to the forum.

Like this:

[newpost picture] RP
[newpost picture] Serious discussion
[no new post picture] Music

Get on and update that when they jump on.

And put like a new topic symbol maybe.

     Ahhh that'd mean so much more work for us and would only be applicable when we're online to do the changing.
Then we'd also have to constantly be scanning subforums.

     That is why when I think of this, it'd be updated by whoever last posted in a subforum. So if they just posted in Word Games they notify us in the main forum in a sticky just for this.
But as I said, this makes more work for those using the subforums.

So, in reading all of this, it sounds like Gaia needs to update so that our lives will be easier.

But about the Rp subforum. I RP a lot, whenever I can stick around, and I would like to see this get more active. If Tilly and Lord P. recall I did make an RP (that Tilly helped with) but then i think I disappeared from the guild and it stopped posting...sad it was only like 2 pages in :[

Oh, if you bring down the forum's tab and click on guild and then go to EFE it gives you like 5 most recent threads posted in. That's a start for the notification thing.

Definitely Guild Announcements. As long as they are regular.
And as for the updated thread thing. CB, I know about it. I use it all the time. It would just be helpful if they said what forum/subforum it was in. Sometimes I'll see an interesting thread in that update, and have no clue where it is. Oh, and of I remember your RP. It died because you disappeared.

I've been wondering: is there something about us that isn't welcoming? I mean it seems a good amount of new people have joined since the Guild started to try and get back up on it's feet but these people just haven't posted or have only posted like once or twice.
