Beth walked along a hall in the hold. She wouldn't say it, but she was lost. Hopelessly and completely lost. It seemed the further she went the older, darker, (And was that mold now?) and damper it got. Why are there fewer and fewer windows? Her shoulders give a shudder. I'm absolutely lost shardit, and I can't even remember what father wanted from here. She looks around as she comes to an cross way. Which way, which way?

Two little flit watch her. A green from the safety of a tucked arm. The blue can't seem to decide if he wants to be on her shoulder or hovering over her head. He gives a decisive squeek before landing on her shoulder. She glances at him from the corner of her eye, "I'm not sure I believe you." Beth turns left to try that way. A couple steps down the hallway and the blue lets out furious squeeks in her ear then tries to n** her cheek. "Hey! Ouch Streak stop!" She reaches up and brushes him off her shoulder. "You've never been here either!" The green thrums softly.

Rogero was always equipped with a small, rolled up piece of hide, a small bottle of ink, and a little wherry quill to dip it in. It was not as expensive of paper, but to have the wealthy to be able to scribble so frivolously was not for everyone.

And that was why he was here now. There was one word on his mind: expansion, and he was debating how to do it. They called him good with numbers, and that was perhaps an understatement. The Harper needed to apply numbers to everything. In fact, he counted the number of steps from one location to the next to see if there was a correlation between certain distances and the cultural nature of the items between those distances.

Here, he'd found himself in a part of the Hold that needed a great deal of refurbishing. It was beginning to lose itself to the elements, and would likely to be gone completely if the few watchwhers within the Hold had not taken a fancy to the area.

The stone masonry here was particularly badly put together, and Rogero was trying to figure out just how it continued to stay standing one winter after another. Always trying to put logic to something that didn't seem to require it, the poor young man was no less than baffled at this site.

It was for this reason, and the threat of whers (which he could not stand) that he nearly leapt out of his skin as he heard the loud noise reverberating down the hall.

"Excuse me, is anyone there?" he called out to the dimly lit hall, his pen stopped momentarily on the parchment he'd been scribbling on.

Beth glares at the hovering blue, a hand held over her cheek. "Why do you always have to be so mean Streak?" Sitting up straighter, Widget lets out a soft call and looks curiously down the hall that Beth had chosen. She looks from the blue to the green and blinks then listens. "Excuse me, is anyone there?" "Oh your right Widget..."

Streak pops between and reappears over the harper's head. He shrieks and mock dives at him. His eyes whirl redly. "Oh dear Streak... where did you go?" Beth hears the flit further down the hall and her eyes go wide. That can't be good... She runs down the hall holding Widget close until she comes around the corner in time to see the blue flit take another pass at the harper. His squeaks echoing up and down the hall.
