Cooley trotting through the grass, Pumilio's odd coat stuck out like a sore thumb against the grass. His basic coat wasn't so bad, a nice camouflage-friendly tan, and even the orange wasn't too bad, but the red was a definite beacon. It didn't phase him too much, as he loved his coat the most out of his whole litter. So he strutted along, purposefully dragging out his shoulders to make himself look more powerful. His blue eyes kept forward, unconcerned with the world around him. To Pumilio, the world consisted of servants that were all meant to serve him.
His tail flicked, and he leaped onto a rock, one he thought would give him a view of the whole surrounding area. It was warm, to say the least, and he gently curled up into a small ball, a faint smile on his small face. He was completely relaxed, and ready for a good day of sleeping in the sun.

Star had crept away from her mama Dysi, who was in fact her father but she enjoyed calling him 'Mama' because he fussed like she imagined a mother would, and was enjoying the small moments of freedom. She adored her family, all three of her mothers and her step mother and even her new younger sisters were wonderful fun, but she wanted to explore and her family was protective.
She had a bounce to her step as she scrambled across the savanna, cub like in her glee. She was, admittedly, worried about being alone. She disliked being alone, but, well, she was curious as to what the world had to offer. She was old enough that she should have known, but she couldn't remember.
The sun beat down heavily on her back as she walked, her breath coming out in pants as her pace slowed. She wasn't paying attention to her feet, glancing around the surrounding area with undisguised curiousity.

Blues eyes searching the area, Pumi's head was propped up as the rest of his small body was sprawled out sideways on the rock. The tip of his tail flicked up rhythmically, and his ears were very alert. The sun pierced through his eyes, and he was forced to squint as he looked around. He portrayed the actions of his parents very well, their lazy days lounging in the sun in between meals. He thought it quite luxurious and relaxing.
His eyes kept looking, and it wasn't hard to miss a bright ball of white with the bright sun reflecting off of it. He watched it carefully for a few moments, noting it as a lion cub from its shape and tail. It was no immediate threat to him, as cubs were rarely threats to each other. Besides, his parents were close enough. His head followed her movements from afar, just waiting for something to happen for his entertainment.

Star was caught up in her own world, enjoying the momentary freedom of being away from her family, but her shoulders were tensed and her tail flicked nervously behind her as she moved, her paws hitting the ground loudly as she didn't attempt to hide her movements.
Caught up in her world, she didn't spot the snake sprawled across the ground, it's bright colours threatening it's poison which lurked in those fangs. It was sleeping peacefully and in the direct path of the young lioness, who hadn't even spotted the brightly coloured patch of ground which would have given the snake away easily.
She hummed to herself as she moved, face tilted up to the sun happily.
