I think ...
it's an awesome idea! I'm totally going to enter!
it sounds interesting. I might enter, depending on what the prizes are...
it sounds very boring. Not interested at all.
Interested, but will make up my mind when it opens.

'Ello m'dears!
I have an idea to run by y'all.

I have this idea for a bumping contest,
but not just any boring ole bumping contest.
What I have in mind is this:

The contest will consist of three different numbers. (E.g. 100, 500, 1,000)
Any interested person will sign up for a certain number. (E.g. 0DDESSY, TaLirah, and Hattress sign up for 500)
There will be three prizes for each number, all of approximately equal value.
Of the people signed up for each number, the first person to reach that number will get to pick which of three prizes they want. (E.g. TaLirah reaches 500 first, and takes her pick of whatever prizes we have for 500)
The second person gets to pick from the remaining two prizes
And the third person gets whatever is left.
(In case you didn't do the math yet, three numbers with three prizes each, means that nine people can win stuff)

This is what I want from y'all:
Feedback! (Are you interested in doing this? Do you think it sounds like a good idea?) (Please note that there are a few technical aspects of the contest that I did not post here. This is just the basic idea!)
Numbers (Bump number suggestions. Should I keep them low-ish, high-ish, or have a low, mid and high?)
Prizes (Things that you would like to see as prizes!)

Hell, if you want to help me out even more, give me prizes that you'd like to see, and a bump number that you think would be worth the prize!
Because obviously, I'm not going to give a Gogh Reed to someone that bumps to 500.

So, ideas people!

This sounds like a contest I was in a while back.
Worked pretty smoothly.
The numbers that they used were 2k, 5k and 7k.
For 2k bumps, they had a few Donation letters
For 5k bumps, a few MCs
and for 7k bumps a few EIs.

Perhaps you would want to do a smaller scale, doing .5k, 1.5k, and 5k?
for .5k you could have 10-20k prize value.
1.5k could be 30-40k prize value
and 5k could be 50-60k prize value?

I like this idea. I'd definitely make an attempt.
A low, med, and high number would be a good idea. As for prizes, a lot of people are questing for aquarium items now, or evolving items.

I'm somewhat confused, but it does sound interesting.

Due to lack of interest, I'm going to postpone thinking about this contest until we have a more active member base.
Thanks everyone!
Look for this more in the future!
