Who : Ripley & Rong Wei, Coredila & Ebony Where : Leaf Nail Parlor When : Early Afternoon, around 1:45 PM Weather : Overcast and dreary. Rain is certain, so have an umbrella
The smells of whatever the people were using burned his nose and stung at his eyes, his hands unable to run away the offending odors fast enough, leaving him to hover over in a corner near one of the vents that blew out the cold air. Rong Wei had called it the 'A/C' or whatever it meant, but Ripley simply called it the object that blew air on his face and got rid of the bed smells for a while. He had his hand placed against the glass of the front window, lips parted softly as he watched the sky above from where he floated. As far as he was concerned whatever was going on in the cloud above the city was far more interesting then whatever was going on inside the building he currently occupied. There were small streaks of lightning crackling through the dark sky, thin strips of white against darkened blue clouds, and each time a rumble of thunder echoed about to announce the threatening storm he seemed to smile.
His wings were certainly being far more expressive then the rest of his body, face included, as they seemed to be shaking against his frame. A faint sound of jingling metal could be heard echoing from where he was located though the blaring of a TV broadcasting a Chinese soap opera took care of the noise for the shop. The woman he had come to address as 'her' (or you when pointing) was lounging in a chair nearby, her feet propped up on a table as she watched the television screen. While she may or may not have actually be interested in what was going on she appeared to be paying attention, as the cigarette that rested between her fingers on her right hand was starting to smolder down the filter.
This was how much of the early day had passed inside the nail parlor, the customers sadly not coming in thanks to the weather or, as Rong Wei had stated, '******** them all for being pathetic'. The Chinese woman had been instructed to watch over the salon while her mother and sister-in-laws (Ripley didn't know, all the women tended to look alike) went out to get something for dinner. At first she'd cursed in that weird language all of them spoke, though soon she repeated most of what she was saying in the language he could understand. It was only a matter of time before the Frei desired to repeat some of those odd sounds he'd heard the woman make, though he was waiting and picking him time. Perhaps repeating one in front of the woman known as 'old bat' would be his best bet?
"See anyone out there?"
It had been a while since words had been exchanged between the pair and Rong Wei's voice startled Ripley, enough that he quickly turned where he floated and stared at her with wide eyes. His wings were spread, large, though one really couldn't tell thanks to their shape and size. The woman merely raised an eyebrow at him, the perfectly shaped line resting over a white eye-patch.
"Well?"
"Perhaps. You can look yourself if you'd like to get up and see. There is no - rain? You call it rain."
He shook his head in response to her question, though he let his gaze back away from the boring and meaty to the sky and the lights. Amazing!

She was pouting again. And not in that endearing, adorable manner either. No, it was a borderline scowl crossing that scaly face. Ebony sighed, the air rushing out her lungs but doing little to relieve the pressure settled deep in her stomach and chest. Ever since their last visit to the Lab in which Zeke had introduced himself and his soon-to-be Raevan, the basilisk had grown a bit aloof towards her guardian. It was their first real disagreement and Ebony was all sorts of miserable. She missed Cordelia's smiling face and smokey voice, something of which had gone missing again in lieu of the situation.
Looking towards the gloominess above, the violet haired Brit gave another heavy sigh. The weather lately hadn't been helping either, both females preferring sunshine and more drier conditions. Cordelia most especially. If Ebony thought she was miserable, the dark femme could probably pull up a greater counter. The girl joined her guardian's gaze to the skies and sighed a little herself, but for another reason entirely. Storm clouds meant rain and rain meant water, something Delia wasn't quite agreeable with. In fact, the smoke Frei tended to avoid it as much as possible.
Grey eyes falling back to reality and the surrounding area, Ebony soon realized their day out wasn't much in the ways of fun or even enjoyable. So far all they'd done was walk around and sight see a bit, the Brit stopping into a few shops every now and then to check out some piece or another that looked to be a possible fortune to be made. She'd brought Cordelia out with her hoping the fresh air would do something to lighten her mood, but as she could plainly see, it'd only done more to worsen it. If there were any deities up there that even remotely liked her, they'd keep the rain away at least until after they'd returned home.
"What's that?" Cordelia asked suddenly, causing Ebony to jump. She hadn't been expecting to hear the velvet, serpentine tones of her ward, so it was certainly a surprise, yet one the woman would gladly accept.
Trying to hide the happy smile creeping upon her lips, "What's what Dove?"
"THAT!" she replied, stabbing a sharp nail towards a shop window displaying hand mannequins, all sporting a variety of colorful designs. "What's a...pa-parrrr-lour?"
"It's pronounced 'pahr-ler.' It's a place that usually provides a service of some sort, usually for beauty treatments these days. This one is specifically for nails." No longer able to curve that grin, obviously pleased that Delia's cold shoulder was finally thawing, Ebony took the girl's hand in hers and towed her towards the shop. "Come on! Let's go inside and you'll see for yourself."

The television flickered for a moment as Ripley's interest (in whatever) seemed to be piqued. He had seen something most unusual from his perch while looking at the outside world - another being like himself (and a female at that). While an encounter with another of his kind had let him know, aside from leaving a bad taste in his mouth, that he was not alone. It was always well and good though to find that there were members of the fairer sex involved.
". . . I see."
Naturally there was no immediate attraction involved, no sudden desire to pounce or drool, Ripley merely watching the approaching pair with dark eyes and cruel interest. Both of his hands had moved against the glass window and he'd gotten a bit away from his original spot, his track leading him towards the door.
Rong Wei probably wouldn't have noticed him moving or even that there were others coming if her television hadn't flickered again, and with a deep frown on her face she leaned back in her chair ready to yell. She actually did decide to raised her voice when she saw what it was he was doing, the Chinese woman getting up from her chair and moving towards one of the sinks at the back. If customers were coming, she needed to get cleaned up.
"Get the hell off the window, you look like a damn dog in a pet store. If they're coming in your ugly mug is probably going to scare them away with whatever the hell it is you're doing. Also - you streak the window and I'm making you wash them."
The cigarette was quickly put out amidst the grumbles from the Frei near the front, Ripley relenting (for now) and backing away from the entrance. He was moving towards her, his float a little quicker then the usual pace he seemed to enjoy moving at, though it wasn't as if he were in some kind of a hurry.
"When they come in here, whoever it is, you can talk to them all you want if you're that interested. Until then, stay out of my way and stay the hell away from any of the electronics. You break so much as one thing and I'm tossing your a** on the streets, you got it?"
" . . . .Fine. "
Unable to clearly say that he didn't have an a** to be tossed on, Ripley merely nodded and let his eyes stay towards the door, ready to greet the two women. Well, not really 'greet' per say, but he was ready anyway.

With a smile brighter than most were use to seeing upon the British woman's tan face, Ebony hastily ushered her charge into the parlor. She was banking on the refreshed and relaxed feeling any female got when it came to getting their nails done. And hopefully gaining a brand new experience and attaining some new knowledge would greatly improve the sour Frei's mood. Maybe even allowing that chip on her shoulder to finely crumble away so her and Ebony could finally get back to normal.
That good mood would have to wait as Cordelia was still pretty unhappy with her guardian. So much that the dark femme was actually opposed to having the woman touch her, let alone drag her anywhere. Yanking her hand free from Ebony's, the basilisk raised her slender digits to wrap around the collar of her vest and give it a few good tugs, trying to disguise the move as something entirely different than her desired intent. Mad or not, Delia still harbored great feelings of not wanting to hurt her woman. A good sign that she couldn't be mad at her forever.
Upon entering, both females stopped short and blinked a double pair of grey eyes at the other occupants of the shop. Neither could help gwaking a bit at the only male in the room as they hadn't been expecting to see another Raevan today. Not in a place like this that's for sure.
Realizing she was staring rudely, Ebony cleared her throat as a means to bring herself and Cordelia out of their trances. "Ah, ello. Is your..." The violet haired woman began before her roaming eyes spied what she'd been searching for, another person with an actual bottom half to them. Her words paused before recognition floated back to her.
"Rong Wei? Is that you? Ha, here I thought you weren't that interested in the Lab. Guess I was wrong." She chuckled in smug delight at thinking she'd somehow managed to pique the Chinese woman's interest.

The corner of Ripley's mouth twitched as he watched the pair enter (he knew they would) and slowly he let himself easy into a calm, welcoming smile. The human woman accompanying the female Frei he could clearly do without, she was nothing to his plans or his attention, but it never hurt to act polite to both of the females in his presence. Rong Wei had mentioned once before to the Frei (while she was wrapping her ankle) that kindness and smiles attracted more bees than vinegar, whatever that meant. The Chinese woman hadn't known either, so Ripley had shoved it to the back of his mind for now.
His smile did falter for a moment when all the pair seemed to do was stare at him, and it nearly slipped entirely from his face when the first person to speak was the human. Thankfully he kept it back up and increased the general look of it, almost coming off as gentle and jolly. He was meeting someone knew and was excited about it, so he'd better look the part. . .even if one of the two was more interested in the fat woman behind him.
Rong Wei turned as her voice was called, the eye patch she had lifted to check her face in the mirror being slid back over a rather black and blue patch of skin. The swelling had gone down somewhat, it didn't hurt to have any pressure on her face for now, but she'd need the patch a few days longer. Ripley had seen to that quite well this time, her mind echoed bitterly.
"I'm not interested at all, I just thought I should pick one up for myself. Seems these Raeven things are the next big deal, rather like those purse dogs or something. Figured I'd get ahead of the curve for once."
The Chinese woman smirked at her light joke, her arms crossing over her chest. She moved forward to stand next to Ripley, her eyes taking in the figure that stood beside a woman she could barely consider an acquaintance. The last time they'd met she'd been counting cards at a casino (she being Rong Wei) and since then the woman had never been back. Being banned from a place tended to do that to you.
"But look at you, last I remember you had a bottle of smoke and a plain empty bottle. Don't tell me the little miss floating next to you came out of that?"
Normally Rong Wei would have been flipping out and tossing the eff word around, her favorite vocabulary as of late, but seeing as being around Ripley was making the immaterial seem less so and more of a reality she didn't even stop to think of such things. Something made from smoke wasn't so odd as the freak made of lightning and a mythic beast floating next to her.

A slight frown etched its way onto the Brit's face at Rong Wei's less than satisfactory answer. The other might have thought the statement to be humorous, but Ebony found it quite insulting. To her, Cordelia was more than just some experiment from a lab, she was a rare treasure. More so now for the smokey youth was the only family she had and this was the most precious thing Ebony could ever have. And although she was finding the statement beyond rude, she could only hope that Cordelia hadn't heard. To be compared to some mongrel fad would only piss the basilisk off more than she already was and that definitely would not help anyone today.
Thus plastering the best fake smile she could as Ripley was for them, Ebony allowed the other's words to slide this time. Gesturing for her ward to come forward, "Yes, you would be correct. This is Cordelia. Cordelia say ello to Rong Wei and...I'm sorry, what is your ward's name?"
Thankfully, Cordelia was too busy still eying Ripley then to hear or even care what the two female humans were discussing. She'd never seen a male Raevan like him before, so devoid of light and color as herself. Of course there was Basil, yet Delia felt a kinship with him that was different than any other Raevan she'd met to date. This one she felt no such relation with just yet, but she could already tell it wouldn't be the same. The way he smiled was odd, forced to an extent, something she'd seen Ebby do plenty of times when confronted with something she wasn't entirely pleased with, but wanted to save face in public. It made her cautious and possibly even a tad self conscious.
When actually addressed, the serpent floated forward and gave a bit of a nod instead of her usual touchy greeting. Obviously her prior unhappiness still not completely alleviated. "Ello, nice to meet you." Of course she was merely being polite like she'd been taught by her guardian. Whether it really was nice was not to be known as Cordelia's attention was drawn back to Ripley again. Swaying some from side to side like she tended to while waiting or unsure, the snake awaited the answer to that question. Who was he?

Rong Wei had been amused. Who cared if others had taken offense to her little joke? It had been mostly directed at Ripley being a pain in the a** towards her and something she had picked up on a fluke. The Egyptian Frei had glanced over at her during the comment and did little more then just roll his eyes at the remark. He was aware of what her meaning was, but it didn't matter really.
Stupid human.
"Him? He's ca-."
"My name is Ripley. Greetings, Cordelia."
Ripley placed a hand on his chest and bobbed slightly, as if he were trying to mimic a bow. Rong Wei had to raise an eyebrow in the fact that he was speaking clearly, not to mention he was speaking to someone else. The woman could count the number of conversations that the Frei had had with other son one hand and still have fingers left over, so she was intrigued.
She did take note, however, that Ripley had only addressed the female Raeven. Interesting, was it because he didn't know the purple hair's name? It'd be the best of her then to introduce the woman and make sure manners and protocol was followed.
"He's Ripley, as he's said. Nice to meet you Cordelia. Ripley, the woman she's with is Ebony Shade. You should greet her as well you know, it's only polite since she's said hello to you."
Though she sounded like she was chiding, Rong Wei didn't speak with much force. She couldn't force Ripley into anything he wanted to do, and the stinging on her face kept reminding her not to push it too hard either. Outside the window thunder pealed again and some of the smaller bottles shook, indicating the weather was moving closer.
". . .hello Ebony."
"Good."
Ripley turned and glared at Rong Wei, who most likely visible flinched. It would have looked more like she was trying not to sneeze, but her hand moved to her face.

A smile played at the corners of her dark lips as Cordelia tried to hold on to her feelings of bitterness. It was hard though with the way the Egyptian was treating her. His speech and mannerisms reminded her so much of Zul. Oh how she missed her delightful demonic friend.
Thus with a waning resolve, the basilisk giggled and decided to give Ripley a more proper greeting. A slender hand reached out to pat his tanned cheek gently, yet was quickly yanked back as she gave a tiny yelp. Cradling her wounded hand, Cordelia pouted and looked to the other with hurt filled eyes. Why? She was only trying to be friendly.
Only feeling a slight bit snubbed at first, Ebony slowly rose a brow towards the Raevan's greetings. Was it that he actually preferred Raevans to humans or was it that he found something far more fascinating with her female Frei? It seemed no matter what, the memory of what Lazarus had done would always stick with the Brit in some manner.
"Ah, ello Ripley. My apologizes for not addressing you personally. You see, Cordelia was unable to speak for sometime after her birth, so sometimes I forget that Raevans are not all the same." she replied with a faint smile before turning back to Rong Wei and allowing him and Delia to continue their conversation more privately. Though that was not to say a silver eye wasn't looking to them every so many seconds.
"So...how have you been Rong Wei? And uh, what's with the uh...?" Ebony silently tapped the side of one of her eyes, bringing attention to the patch on the woman. Seriously though, she was looking like some kind of pirate with it on. Would she even be able to do their nails today?

"Sorry. I...shock people. She does not touch me often because of that."
A soft and somewhat apologetic smile played over Ripley's face as he looked at the female and how she was cradling her hand, knowing well that he might have caused her some discomfort. It would do him no good to chase her away now simply because of his nature. He needed this one on his side. He needed her quite badly, if only for reasons neither of them were quite aware of. It was not love, it was not lust. It was planning and calculating for something in their future - or rather, Ripley's future. He had nothing in his want to aid Cordelia in hers, as least this far. The assessment hadn't been made.
At the word 'she' he'd pointed over at the woman with a smirk on his face, remembering certain events that had lead to all touching between the pair being avoided as much as possible by the Chinese woman. Ripley grew to love the game and the distance she could try and get between them, knowing that she was trapped inside the house with him. He wasn't in there with her, she was in there with him.
"Did that hurt you badly? May I check and see?"
There was true concern in his voice and that was what kept Rong Wei's attention moving from her conversation with the British woman and back over to the two floating freaks of nature. While it always made the woman happier to know that she wasn't the only one out there saddled with something like this it also made her uneasy. If perhaps there were others, were they being treated the same? From the way Ebony looked she doubted it.
"Don't take him not speaking to you to mean anything. He's hardly the chatterbox type, and the fact he's so talkative with your little lady over there is something entirely new to me. Usually the two of us just sit in silence and watch the television. Or we play chess."
The Chinese woman intended to ignore all the comments about the patch on her eye should they get brought up by someone today. Everyone around her seemed to be getting used to the massive amounts of bandages that were decorating her body as of late, meaning that no one dared say anything when something finally appeared on her face. Of course intent was different from reality and the moment she actually was asked, she spilled.
"This? Got into a nasty fight with a door frame. Turns out that at night, without my glasses, I'm more than likely able to walk into a door and bust my face. Just last week I did it to my nose - you'd think I'd learn by now to either get my glasses or turn a light on."
Rong Wei wasn't expecting this woman to believe her - hell, she hardly believed it herself. Ebony probably wouldn't believe her if she told her the truth either, that Ripely had decided he'd had enough for one day and just cold cocked her in the eye. There probably was more reason behind his action then that, but the woman wasn't asking and the Frei wasn't telling.
"I can see just fine though, so don't worry if you're wanting me to do your nails today. It's been a while since I've had a good customer that I can talk with."

Full of suspicion, Cordelia's eyes narrowed to slits at the other as she continued to cradle her still tingling hand. It really hadn't been all that bad to be honest, it was just that she'd been surprised and taken very much off guard by it. What sort of Raevan had the ability to shock people just by touch? What good was a power such as that?
Expression haughty, the basilisk raised her chin high and gave a small huff. She wasn't going to let him think something as insignificant as that could possible hurt her that much. "No, it just...surprised me was all. But if you want to look...I guess you can." With a bit of reluctance, Delia finally offered the hand that had been shocked. Even if she was somewhat prepared this time, so help Ripley if he gave her another unwelcomed jolt.
"It's perfectly understandable for him to prefer his own kind over those of others. So don't worry about me, I'm fine." And that was the god honest truth. Ebony didn't take any offense to the snub now, allowing logic to settle perfectly in place and push any other dumb theories from her mind.
Again she raised a brow in question towards the explanation Rong Wei gave. It was a weak excuse for a cover, but if the woman didn't want to share what had really happened, then the Brit wasn't obligated to push. "Right...well if you are up for it, then yes, we would like our nails done today. Though I suppose I shouldn't speak for Cordelia just yet. She's never had it nor seen it done before. Perhaps you could do mine first? That way she can see how it works and decide for herself whether or not she would like to have a manicure."
Yet, by the more than pleased look on her face, Ebony had already felt she knew the answer and that it was yes. After all, Cordelia was curious by nature and couldn't pass up the opportunity to learn or do something new.

"I don't know if it's a preference for his own kind over humans so much as a hatred of humans altogether. Granted he's never really interacted with anyone outside of myself and my family, so I can't fully tell what's going on."
A wave of the woman's hand dismissed much of whatever it was she was leading on towards, and she heaved a small sigh as she watched the two Freis interact. Ripley hadn't been this interested in the first one they met and had come off that meeting rather steamed. Inwardly the Chinese woman was praying it would not happen again - for her sake.
"But anyway, if you're getting your nails done go ahead and pick out a polish and let me know if you're wanting patterns or anything special. It'll be on the house today for both of you so long as your partner over there keeps Ripley occupied."
She was going to say 'in a good mood', but wouldn't indicating much about the nature of her companion drive these two women away? Rong Wei was safer in numbers so long as they were here. Ripley had never tried anyone on her with others around as far as she could remember, and though she felt okay she didn't want to test his limits of control. But then again, maybe she was really over thinking all of this. He'd only hit her once before and maybe she had deserved it. Yes, a good way to look at it.
While the Chinese woman mused on her choices, Ripley was busy looking over the hand that had been presented to him. Unable to fully control the shock that came from his body, he was at least able to lower it down to a soft thrum. At most Cordelia would feel vibrations as he touched her, but nothing painful. If anything it may have felt nice, almost as if someone were massaging her hands. He turned Delia's hand over several times, looking at the joints and her wrists with utmost attention. It was as if he were examining her for something and, without saying much else, he released her hand and gave her another smile. This one didn't seem as forced as before, though there was still something odd about it.
"It looks as though you're not hurt. That's good, you have such pretty hands. I bet they're strong too, like you could easy break something in your grip."

"Rong Wei, I couldn't possibly accept such an offer. We came to you as a professional, and as such you shall be compensated appropriately." she replied forcefully. Ebony didn't want the Chinese woman to feel obligated to granting them some sort of special treatment just because they were both part of the lab now.
Giving her nails a good scrutinizing, the Brit settled herself into one of the parlor's many chairs. "I think just the standard trimming and cleanup will suffice. And any shade of purple you have on hand please."
Delia stiffened some when the other took her hand, but eventually relaxed when she realized he wasn't shocking her this time. Though there was something there, a slight trembling that wasn't caused by nerves or anything. It was simply a part of him and that was all.
As he gently traced the inner area of her palm before moving on to inspecting each individual digit, the basilisk's eyelids seemed to grow too heavy for her and she slowly closed them. Snakes were highly sensitive to vibrations and Cordelia was no different. She found some peace and calming from the lighter tingling sensation left on her pale skin this time.
"Thank you." she sighed, eyes still closed to bask in the last of the trembling from the sphinx's hands. A tiny smile began to blossom across her face. Cordelia greatly enjoyed being praised or complimented. It was just as good as receiving physical gifts. Maybe this Ripley wasn't so bad after all. "I have. Ebby says I need to be more careful if I don't want to hurt or upset anyone. So I try, but it's hard."

The Egyptian raised an eyebrow at the many expressions that passed over the female's face. She'd gone from looking sour to looking almost pleasured, and even now that hurt look from before had been replaced with a smile. Rong Wei nor any of the others he touched ever smiled because of him, so this was new and a little bit...unnerving as it were. Not alarming of course, but a tiny bit curious.
"Why should you be careful? Aren't you only doing what you want to do? I don't understand."
Concepts of 'not hurting others' or 'being careful' hadn't quite clicked in Ripley's mind, his intelligence quite high yet his common grasp on certain situations still very childish. He'd heard Rong Wei use the 'be careful' phrase before, often sounding more sarcastic than an actual warning, and usually those words came right before he'd touched something that rather hurt. Never did he feel excruciating pain of course, but there were situations of discomfort. He blamed them all entirely on the human woman for not being more prompt in her warnings and plans of becoming even had slowly begun to swirl in his mind.
"That woman over there tells me to 'leave people alone', if that's on the same line of thinking. But I don't understand, I'm only curious."
Only curious seemed to be something of his motto, though a horrible motto it was and often more dangerous in its meaning than anything else. But Rong Wei wasn't going to tell anyone that, and Ripley was very vague in his explanations. Unless she pressed him, Cordelia would probably never really know.
"Full pay it is then, and we'll see what I can do for you. If you're wanting purple we have several shades I can do at once, if you'd like a pattern or something like that. Half-and-half seems to be the popular style amongst working women nowadays, with full stripes for the girls in school."
Rong Wei wasn't really exaggerating, her own fingernails done in both styles. Despite how tacky that could sound her nails actually looked quite well done, their colors matching perfectly and giving her long fingers a sort of gracefulness about them that indicated they could be used for something wonderful. Sadly her fingers were only used for holding cigarettes or flipping people off.
Wasting no time she tapped the counter with her right fingers to indicate she wanted Ebony's right hand, the Chinese woman's left hand reaching behind and getting what looked to be a nail board and some clippers.

Cordelia's eyes snapped open and she gave a confused and possibly appalled frown. "Why would I want to hurt anyone? I don't want to do that, not on purpose. But maybe..." The basilisk paused a moment, thinking of the best way to express her counter to her previous statement. She didn't want Ripley to get the wrong meaning or think that she was somehow cruel in her thoughts. "...maybe I would if they tried to hurt me first." The last of her words faded into smoke as she spoke them, the words invoking the still burning wound of Lucia's betrayal. If Delia came away with anything from that encounter, it was that even friends could hurt you, a sad but simple truth. Next time, whether foe or friend, the serpentine Frei would not hesitate to defend.
At the part of leaving people alone, Cordelia just shrugged. Sometimes Ebby would tell her that as well, usually when she was trying to catch a meal from someone's smoking stick. "I don't know. Humans are different. They say and do odd things sometimes."
The British woman crinkled her nose in distaste at the idea of whatever was popular with the teeny boppers these days. Ebony never paid mind to trends and fads when she was one, so why would she suddenly now? She liked what she liked and that was that. Shaking her head, "Let's stick to the basics, just one simple color. Preferably a shade as close to my hair color as possible please." She knew it sounded boring, but that was what she wanted and she was the customer after all.
Taking the hint, Ebony quickly gave up the indicated hand to Rong Wei while beckoning to her charge with the other. "Cordelia, would you join us over here please? I'd like for you to watch and see whether you would like a manicure as well." And if she didn't, which the woman thought impossible at this point, then at least it'd be educational for the Raevan.
When her guardian called, Delia gave Ripley a soft, knowing smile. "Curious." she quipped with a small chuckle before floating over to bare witness to this thing called a manicure. Though when the Chinese lady brandished her tools it sent off a warning bell in the girl's mind. What exactly did she think she was going to do with those? Nervous, two silver eyes fell to Ebby in a silent question, yet her woman seemed rather unaffected by the items. Calm and relaxed in fact, yet when was her woman ever without her poker face? Thus Delia remained quiet on her concerns, but still paid close attention to all of Rong Wei's actions regardless.

Ripely's interest was slowly waning, not that he dared let the expression on his face show it. This Raeven was likely older than he was, at least in terms of aging mentally and not from actual date of creation, so she seemed to have a fuller grasp on what was right and what was wrong. A sense or morals, as it were, and a desire to obey what others said - others being the humans. This one was nothing special, and he slowly released her hand before the female frei floated over and to the side of her companion.
Boring.
He'd liked how she'd mentioned she'd defend herself if needed, that was something he could eventually work on should he find a proper angle for it to be exploited with. Ripley had rather liked how biting and bitter she'd seemed spitting them out like that, almost snakelike. Was that because of her soul? The Sphinx Frei had no idea what she could have possibly contained, only knowing himself because he naturally would and Rong Wei had also told him. Twice.
Rong Wei lifted her good eye up to look as the female Frei moved over and she cast her gaze next over to her own 'partner', watching the darkness that usually settled on Ripley's face grow in. He was thinking, she knew that expression well. It may never have been a good sign for him to think, seeing as he absorbed information like a sponge, but whatever. It was time to get down to business, and the woman was tired of feeling idle.
"Solid purple it is then, and I...hm. I think I do happen to have a purple just that shade over on the wall. Ripley, would you bring me Fresh Bruise? It should be on the top shelf mixed in."
She called out the Frei, who'd taken his expression back towards the sky, while she started to gently file down the tops of Ebony's nails. Any nail polish color the woman may have had on previously was wiped away quickly before the fileboard came into contact, and it was with precious and quick movements that Rong Wei went about her task. It would taste a lie to say she wasn't good at what she did, seeing as it was all she knew from the time she was younger.
"Ripley? Did you hear what I said?"
"I heard you, but now I'm curious. You've already gotten a fresh bruise, why would you want another? To match?"
Ripley chuckled as he moved away from the window and to the selection of nail polishes, and from where she was sitting in front of the pair of women Rong Wei visibly flinched. It was brief and the look of nerves only danced on her face a moment, but it was there. Rapidly her normal sour look returned and the woman went back to cleaning, dropping a kind of warm lotion solution on Ebony's nails before covering the right hand with a plastic bag. She'd need to get her heating pad in order for the chemicals to loosen the dead skin, and as Rong Wei started to rise she felt a hand come down on her shoulder.
"Here. I'll stand and watch you too."
The polish was held in front of her face, and the weight of Ripley's hand on her shoulder increased. He was actually going to be watching Delia, but what no one knew wouldn't hurt them.
