Slinking through the trees Thealia was hot on the trail of a deer who recently passed through here. Though it may be a challenge for her to bring down on her own she felt that it would help get out the frustrations she was feeling over that blasted pup Glacier being the focus of Penthesilea's energy. The Queen should be concerning herself more with finding strong females to increase the packs number as well as finding more of their sisters who had left after the fighting.
With her head low, sniffing the ground for the scent of the deer Thealia caught wind of another wolf in the area. Oh that one better not be going after her prey or she would need to put a stop to it quickly. Thealia would not let this other take her prize away from her. Picking up the pace a bit Thealia kept her eyes open for any signs of this other wolf as well as the deer.

Out on his morning patrol of the packs border Corvus found himself deep in thought. When he first agree to join the pack he had flirted with Merrill, perhaps to get into the pack but part of it was his flirty nature. But over time he realized that he respected her authority too much to continue on with those ways and instead became one of the packs loyal members, always listening to whatever Merrill or the Alpha's said. Besides as far as he could tell Merrill was somewhat distracted by that other green male - though the name of that male escaped him right now. No matter, he would see to his duties as always, he was grateful for all this pack had done for him and wouldn't let anything get in his way.

As Thealia moved onward the scent of the other wolf grew strong and began to mix with several others - though those other scents were older. Could be a pack, or could be a group of roaming wolves. Either way if they were after her deer she would either need to find it first or force them off the trail. Either way she would get to use her hunting and fighting skills today.
A small amount of movement caught her attention and she paused midstep. At first she thought her mind had played a trick on her, but soon she noticed the distinct outline of a green wolf amid the bushes. He blended into his surroundings as well as she did - though her pink markings did make her stand out among the green foliage some days. Studying the wolfs movements for a few moments she decided that he was not after her deer, instead he just seemed to be wandering about. Well either way, she needed to make sure he didn't go after her deer. Setting off again she padded towards the green male.

Looking up from being distracted by his thoughts Corvus was surprised to see another wolf approaching. It only took a quick glance for him to recognize that this wolf was not part of the pack. Perhaps a wanderer, or maybe one from a neighboring pack looking to speak with Chivosi. Either way as the first wolf to encounter her within the pack lands it was his duty to see to her needs.
Turning he walked towards her taking in her green hide with it's pink and red markings. She certainly was very interesting looking and if he wasn't careful he would flirt with her much like he had flirted with Merrill. Corvus was trying to change his ways. With a friendly smile on his maw he came to a stop not far from the female. "Good morning!" He called out cheerfully.

Eyes narrowed at the males friendly tone and smile. Typical male, she thought, probably hoping that she would swoon at the sight of him like a love sick puppy. Well Thealia was above those things. When the male stopped she continued forward, circling him slowing looking him over. Well he looked strong, not that that meant anything of course. One could be physically strong but mentally weak. Once she was done with her inspection she came to a stop in front of him and stared at him with cold eyes.
"Are these pack lands?" She asked him simply, not caring to introduce herself just yet. After all there was no reason for this wolf to know her name, she only gave her name to those she trusted and from Thealia's experiences males in general could not be trusted.

The way she circled him made Corvus feel like he was her prey and he shifted his weight a bit nervously. She certainly wasn't the most friendly wolf he had met, perhaps she was testing him. He forced his smile to remain as she threw her question at him. He glanced over his shoulder towards the border of the pack lands and then returned his gaze to the female.
"Yes, this is the border of the Y.M.C.A pack. I am Corvus a member of the pack." He considered his next words carefully as she looked like a wolf that could easily be offended. "Are you looking to speak with our Alphas? Or perhaps interested in joining our pack?" His nerves were getting to him, oh why did this female have to come along, she was so beautiful and yet seemed so distance and hateful already.

The way he moved about shifting his weight made Thealia smile a bit, but not that happy type of smile, not it was more a devious smile. She had this male in a good spot already and she hadn't even intended for that to happen. Well this could prove quite interesting, but she couldn't dawdle too much or that deer might get away completely.
Y.M.C.A pack huh? Well she had never heard of it and chances were that it was like every other pack in this land - run by an over-domineering male who male who kept his females on a short leash so to speak. "I have no business with your Alpha male." She said with a bit of disdain. "And I am most certainly not interested in joining your pack." Her lip twitched ever so slightly at the thought of joining this pack. She had a much better pack even if it was currently small and riddled with that horrible little pup Glacier.

The way she held herself and spoke made Corvus nearly tuck his tail in. My she was quite the intimidating one, yet at the same time he found her quite interesting. So far his experience of females were of the ones more laid back, though he did have the utmost respect for Chivosi and Merrill. But even they couldn't hold a candle to the power this female seemed to be showing.
His head tipped to the side slightly. She didn't want to see the Alpha male, that was an odd statement. "Perhaps meeting the Alpha female would be more to your liking." Her next words made him wonder. "If you are not looking to join may I ask why you are out here at our border?"

Thealia had to take a deep breath to prevent herself from tearing at the males throat. How typical that he would offer for her to speak to the Alpha female secondary. Was it meant to say that the Alpha female was only worth seeing if the male was busy? Perhaps she was held until the males paws too tightly and was not given her freedom to see who she wished to. "So your Alpha female is but a secondary thought for you? Not good enough to offer in the first place?"
A growl came up at his next question. What's next, would he ask for her life story? "Can one not be out walking without being badgered by questions? Or must every wolf that walks near the border of a pack have to have a reason for being there?"

Corvus' mouth gaped open in shock. This female was so confusing, every time he spoke she turned his words against him. "Hey now wait just a second, I never offered my Alpha male first, I merely asked if you wanted to speak to the Alphas. You were the one who assumed that I was referring to a male. Chivosi is a great Alpha female whom I greatly respect. And I would not have her speak with one who has such a negative attitude."
Her growl was another surprise. She was so easily offended. "I am not badgering you with questions. I was trying to be nice and see if you needed any assistance."

Another growl rumbled in her throat and her lips curled back in a snarl. Enough talk, enough questions! Lunging forward towards the green male Thealia slashed her claws at his chest. Her sharp fangs snapped at his neck. She had been itching for a fight for quite some time and this male would be her victim. Thealia did not care if she badly hurt him, or even killed him. The world would certainly not suffer if there was one less male within it. If only Penthesilea was here to see this, it would reinforce her position in the pack as warrior and perhaps even promote her to head warrior, something Thealia always had her eyes on.

Corvus had almost no time to react to the females sudden lunge. What was wrong with her? He had done nothing, as far as he was concerned, to offend her and here she was attacking him. Her claws raked across him chest and he let out a small yelp of pain. With a quick jerk of his body he was able to move away from the bite angled for his neck, though there was a tug on his fur meaning that she had come very close to still biting him. Fur could grow back
Back-peddling quickly, Corvus tried to put some distance between himself and the crazed female. His chest stung but he refused to attack her. "What is wrong with you?" He yelled at her, though he watched her carefully not sure if another attack would come, his muscles tense and ready to move if needed.

Letting out a satisfied cackle as her claws hit the mark Thealia had to take a moment to spit out a mouthful of fur. She had nearly tasted blood with that bite. Her heart was pumping fast, claws were itching for another piece of his flesh. Eyes burned with anger as she watched him put some distance between them. How pathetic, he wouldn't even fight back. "What is wrong with me?!" She shouted back in anger.
"Why will you not defend yourself?" She snarled and took another quick step towards him, then lashed out with her claws once more, aiming for his legs. If she could slow him down then chances are she could finish him off before he made it back to his precious Alpha male and their likely male filled pack.

This was getting out of control very quickly. Corvus needed to get out of here, not because he thought she could beat him, no he couldn't attack a female for no reason other than her being angry towards him. Sure she attacked him but clearly she wasn't in the right frame of mind and attacking her would only cause the situation to get worse.
Corvus was already in the process of taking another step back when she lunged at him again. This time he was ready for her and was able to pull his legs away, just in time. "You confuse defense and fighting. One does not need to fight back to defend themselves." While that wasn't entirely true Corvus believed it was the best thing to say. Some situations called for a defensive attack, however this fight he didn't wish to attack even to defend himself, no he would be defensive by avoiding blows.

This male was so weak. He refused to attack her even after she had gotten in the first blow. Did he not know how to fight? Yes, that must be it. Or perhaps he was too stupid to react properly. Either way she wasn't about to go easy on him. The fact that her latest attack had missed only caused her anger to grow more. Lips curled back even more to show her sharp teeth. Dashing forward she hoped to force him off balance as he backed away and snapped once more at his neck. Thealia thirsted for blood and this male would give it to her. She had completely forgotten about the deer by this point, not that her small pack needed the meat anyways, she had merely been hunting it for sport.
