The poll has been up for a little over a week and right now it looks like this:
Signs/Tribute: 5%[ 1 ]
Visual Art: 25%[ 5 ]
Creative Writing: 20%[ 4 ]
Video: 0%[ 0 ]
Technological: 0%[ 0 ]
All of the above: 50%[ 10 ]
Other: 0%[ 0 ]
While it's still going to remain open, I am confident that the right choice has been made when I say with final certainty that the category will be All of the Above and then some.

Additional Notes:
Let me add an additional note that the above are still not all inclusive. I will also accept musical entries and any other things that you can think of and convince me are art.
Let me also add that if you haven't started already, now would be a good time to start.
This is open to new members. A number of you likely reading this are new to the guild and I think it's relatively simple to get a feel for what the guild is like and all about, especially if you go and read the archives.
Everyone that I have heard from that intends to enter and has some idea has gotten at least a few suggestions from me and I will be happy to help anyone else that has any direction at all.

Rules:
Follow the ToS... Common sense, by now, right?
I have decided to strike the rule about joint-entries. You can still make them, but when they are made, choose ONE person who will accept the prize. I will be trading the gold to that person and you must trust that one person to distribute it to the group. Make sure, therefore, that it is a person that you trust. I will not be settling disputes and am confident that you are mature enough to settle it, yourself.
The rule that states only one entry per member is allowed stands. Put your all into one thing and perfect it as much as possible.

Participation:
I have decided that there will be a point bonus (this applies to the Top Disciples list) for all entrants. As the current system stands, it will be a 1% bonus to their existing posts (that kicks in after 100 posts).

Prizes:
Megan's contribution and all of those before her have been fully factored in and so far the Prize Pot looks like this:
430,000 gold
Matasoga's own fedora
Gambino's Golden Treasures
Nano-C 12th Gen
It is not closed and any new donations will be listed here. I am hoping to expand the prize pot, further, before it's all said and done.
The projected break down for the prize money is not certain. So far, it looks like this:
1st Prize: 215,000 gold, Nano-C 12th Gen, Matasoga's Fedora
2nd Prize: 143,333 gold, Gambino's Golden Treasure
3rd Prize: 71,666 gold
To donate to the prize pot, just send a trade to me with "Contest" in the title and I will accept and change the totals as soon as possible.

Dead-Line:
There is still no dead-line set, yet. The final dead-line of "Before the end of 2010 still stands, but I'm expecting to leave it open for a few months and close it, but we'll see how everyone is doing.

Here you can post your progress, either how far along you are, or what you're doing. If you'd rather not share your idea, you don't have to but I would like to hear, from time to time, even if it's only a percentage, of about how far along you are. If you haven't yet told me that you're entering, I'd still like to hear.
Please also be sure to post if you donate, as well as how much.

As I said before, I am expecting great things of you. Don't disappoint me.

I'm very glad to hear it and I thank you for the status report. We're all friends here, so I'm sure that all of the higher ups will be happy to tell you anything you'd like to know.

So now we need 7,987 more to make it an even 300 K. Is anyone going to do it? If we reach a third 100 K then I may put more of my own gold into this as well.

Now that this thread has been up for a week, I think it's time to put down a soft dead-line, to make sure that everyone has started work.
One month from now (May 6th, midnight) we'll see where everyone is. If it looks like most of the people that I've heard from that intend to enter are ready then that will be the dead-line. Those who have not started work or those who I don't believe are still seriously committed to entering will not count toward this total.
I suggest that you aim to have as much work done as possible by this time, as it may turn out to be the actual dead-line. If you know for a fact that this will be a problem, talk to me know (either by posting, PMing me, or both) and we'll talk. This will likely end in me pushing back the dead-line.

I am going to take a break from entry, perhaps I will do some poems and see where that takes me?

So, I have actually working on my entry, even if it is a very slow start. I'll keep at it, though, and I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do with it, by this point.
