The ride on the Hogwarts Express starts from King's Cross railway station platform 9¾, which is invisible to Muggle eyes and is reached by walking through the barrier between platforms 9 and 10. Here, students will bid farewell to their families until the holidays and load up into Hogwart's Express.

The air was cool on this beautiful, autumn morning. Fluffy, white clouds lay scattered among the morning sky. Not that anyone was taking the time to look at it. It was a busy morning. Muggles filled the train station, some heading off to work, others on holiday or visiting, but most too busy to care about the color of the sky, much less, what was going on around them. The sky could be green with purple polka dots and they would not see, thought the young witch, as she walked through the mob with her family.
Melody was pensive about the new year at school and, even, a little frightened after the rumors she had heard over the summer. Even now, her mother was alert, scanning the crowd of muggles for familiar faces that she had seen in wanted posters. Her older sister, Miya, was, even more so, nervous. Melody could see Miya's wand sticking out of the front pocket of her jeans. She worried that someone might find that suspicious but then remembered, Oh right, no one's paying attention anyway...
Miya's mind was whirling as they reached the pillar between platform nine and ten. Max whined on the trolley. At least, he was excited to go back. Miya pat the crup's soft head and gave him a scratch behind the ear, as Melody hugged their mom and dad goodbye. Miya could see the strained smile on her mother's face. She was worried too. Her father, on the other hand, was better at hiding his worry. He pulled both Miya and Melody into a strong embrace, making them both promise to write before letting them go. "And don't go picking fights with Snape, Mel. You're gonna get yourself expelled...or poisoned." Their mother added with a less strained smile.
"Yeah, yeah. As if, I couldn't detect his potions from a mile away" Melody replied, confidently.
Miya shook her head and said her goodbyes to her mother. Miya turned to Melody, "Ready?"
"Of course!" Melody exclaimed with her seemingly unbounded confidence. To show, this Melody drive right into the pillar after exclaiming a last, "See ya, mom, dad!" She disappeared in the pillar and was met by the sound of a familiar train. Hogwarts Express...
"I have to deal with that all year..." Miya mumbled, following her sister in, with one last goodbye to her parents.
"Do you think, we should've told them?" Their mother asked worriedly, as the girls had dissappeared.
"They'll be fine." George smiled warmly and pulled his wife into an embrace, as they turned and began to walk back. "What's the worst that can happen?"
At that moment, horrible thoughts popped into her head and she realized, "I should have told them..."

Diana glanced around the train station, glad to be going back to school. Glad to be going home. Hogwarts did not make her grimace with dread. It wasn't just school, a learning place. It was where most of her recent years of life had been spent. It felt like she was going home, not leaving. Muggle children are silly to hate school.
She turned around to glance into her Mother's nervous eyes, ignoring her father completely, and then pushed her way through the crowd, and straight into the brick column.
Lily Johnson stayed close to her older sister, Diana. She was well aware that several muggles were staring at her. So what if my hair is pink today? Stop staring at me! She screamed in her mind. She didn't like how closely her parent's were hovering over them as they ushered them through the crowds.
To say that she was nervous would be an understatement. Lily had more butterflies in her stomach than food. Some of these butterflies originated from the problem at hand. Hogwarts, she was almost there. The other butterflies were there because she felt out of the loop. Her parent's and sister seemed particularly nervous and this set her pulse racing. Anything that made a witch or wizard nervous was not something to be taken lightly.
Lily hurried through the brick wall after her sister and before her parent's. They would say their goodbyes on the platform.
Sarah pushed her trolley quickly through the crowds, almost losing her aunt in the hub of people. She didn't even glance around when she hurried through onto the platform. She just wanted to get away from Muggle london and onto the Hogwarts Express. Her Aunt quickly followed her through the brick wall, and no one even noticed them.

The blonde girl grinned from ear to ear at her grandparents. Giving them a quick hug she was about to turn around run through the column. However she heard a voice calling from a distance. Turning her head at the familiar sound she jumped on her tip toes to figure out where it was coming from. Next thing Alyssa knew her older brother was dodging everyone in the train station waving at her frantically. A giggle escaped her mouth and she ran up to her older brother. Giving him a quick hug she pulled back and poked him on the shoulder. "And what might you be doing here for?" She questioned with her eyebrow raised. Not waiting for a reply she grabbed his hand and intertwined their fingers, dragging him along back to where her grandpernts were.
"I couldn't just let my little sister start her 6th year without saying good-bye to her."
Alyssa continued to drag him through the crowd. It was nice of him to say that. "You could have sent me an owl or something. I know you're super busy." She stopped walking when she got to her things, and grinned to her grandmother. "Look who came to see me off!" She exclaimed in a thrilled voice. However she seemed to be the only one that was excited. Her brother seemed nice, but there was somehting in his eyes. Her grandparents were unusually quiet. Ignoring it however she gave the three of them one last hug and grabbed her things. "See you during christmas?" She directed that one more to her brother. It was a rare thing to see him at all these days.
"Most definitly. Oh and be careful as a chaser. And don't you be getting yourself hurt this year either."
Alyssa crinkled her nose at her brothers worry and shook her head. Witht that she went through the brick column.
((I'll post as my other two characters later. (: ))

Liz stood at the brick wall impatiently waiting for her parents to shut up. If they hadn't kept going on and on about how much they were going to miss her, she'd be on the train right now alone. Which was better for her. The raven haired girl preferred it that way. When silence finally arrived, the girl opened her mouth to speak until she was cut off by her mother. "Well, I guess that's all. Have a great year baby." With that Liz nodded her head and rolled her eyes. Giving her mother a quick hug she turned to go. However, he father cleared this throat before she could walk through. Spinning on her heel, she gave her father a hug and turned to walk through the brick wall. She could hear her mother weeping now, and was probably in her fathers arms doing so. About time she got away from them.

Kaydin was at the train station alone. His parents were probably off some where in London having a grand old time without him. Where as his grandparents were at home sleeping. He understood that they couldn't travel all that much with him. He leaned against the wall for a long moment trying to think everything through. He was a 7th year. Already. Shaking his head the male pushed himself off the wall only seconds later. It was the last year he'd be able to avoid seeing his parents. His father he missed, his mother on the hand he could care less about. The two of them sent him owls every year, but the male ignored them.
Trying to make his way through the crowd the dark haired male got to the brick wall. But instead of going through he stood there for a minute thinking about his sister. This was a ritual for every year. He'd pay his respects for a few seconds and then pass through the wall. "I wonder if you know how much I miss you...." Kaydin whispered to himself and finally passed through the brick wall.
