Apparantly all the files I had moved to my external hard drive as backups when I was reformating I moved back without -keeping- the files on my external, forgot this, and then reformatted again. I lost more than a year's worth of work, including all my resume info resume, some fiction, and all of my data involving the book selling thing I have on the side.

maybe some computer wizard can recover them?
but when my last laptop fried, i also lost a lot of images and stories
including pics from old acquaintances i had forgotten the contact info for....
It seems like I may not have transfered my 50k+ word novel from Highschool at any point in time too.

Ouch! gonk I am very familiar with that feeling of dread. It's heartbreaking. But fortunately everything was retrieved off my hard drive after my computer died. I still need to back up though... sweatdrop

u need to take it to a pro for hard drive recovery, hopefully they can get some info back ... may cost you abit of cash tho
