Hey. My friend is wiccan, and we did a... thing with a crystal that answers yes and no questions. It claimed I was wiccan myself. Is there any way that I can verify this for sure?

Poppy, was the crystal you were using, hanging from a string or chain, which you dangled? Did it spin round? If so, this is scrying.
Scrying is using the pendulem crystal to ask energies, spirits, cosmic beings etc, questions on the nature of this reality and others.
We are not born witches or wiccans or pagans etc but we learn to develope into them, like a job... It takes time, practice and learning to become them. You need to be clear when using a pendulem, if you ask if you are a wiccan witch, the energies may say yes because they twist the queston to suit. Ask instead if you have the ability to become one, which we all do.

I do have a question, how do you know if you have the ability to become a wiccan? Someone told me they're wiccan and that not everyone has the abilityt o be one because it's inherited, and even then, sometimes your wiccan mom doesn't pass down her genes relating to her power.

Wiccans arent superheroes. We do not have powers as such, we practice with tools and instruments to do all kinds of things.
Wiccans are not born, they are made - sorry for the corny sounding line.
Everyone has the ablity to become a wiccan because all it takes it learning and living in a certain way, furthermore it is a type of paganism, abit like a religion.

Well there are some people out there with gifts or sensitivites or abilites and maybe it is possible that they are passed down genetically. The religeon itself being passed down is more traditional than genetic. I practice wicca, have a small guild I've started, and I do believe that I was born a witch and slowly grew into myself to find my path into wicca. I think that some people are born witches but it's up to them to figure out if they want to pursue their natural draw to the energies around them and which path they may or may not follow.

Precisely, I mean, My mum and dad cannot draw..AT ALL razz while, I have a natural skill. The path we take is not determined by genes, it is up to the individual.

Well I've believed in those kinds of things since I was like 3 and been a witch conciously since about that time as well but I haven't technically been practicing for more than 3 years.
