Not sure about all of you, but I find meditation troubling. Not as in "We shouldn't do it." kind of troubling, but more of a "How do I do this the right way!" kind of troubling. Well I have been having problems with it since I converted to Wicca, and finally I told myself to spare up to $12 on a book and spent some time looking over the different books in my local Barnes & Noble store. I found a book called Meditation for Beginners. It is really good and I highly recommend it. As I was typing this, however, I realized I have forgotten the author's name, so I will post that whenever I bring the book up from my room to the computer with me.
And if I put this post in the wrong section of the guild, please forgive me O_o;.

I myself don't meditate a lot. It's more visual calm time. I close my eyes and just let everything go. I don't really think it is the type of meditation that books describe, but it's what I do and it works well enough for me. Good luck finding you way, but the core to learning meditation is dedication and focus, on not focusing. It's more confusing to explain than I would have hoped. Anyways, good luck.
