You can do anything as long as it doesn't go against gaia's TOS or rules and guidelines. Have you checked out the Arena rules for promoting your avatar? They might not allow it although I can't see why not but you might want to make sure just to be safe.

They might not allow it although I can't see why not but you might want to make sure just to be safe. The Arena rules are ambiguous when it comes to guilds. It more or less boils down to, if the guild Captain is okay with it then Gaia has no problem with it.
