This came up in the public forums. Do you feel it weakens the guild Captain's authority if they choose to "sell" staff positions to people who donate to the guild rather than promoting people who are responsible and can actually do the job of guild mod?
(I'm posting this in a few of my guilds to get multiple opinions so if you've seen this in another guild I apologize for being annoying.)

I think they're stupid for doing that, there's not much you can do with Guild donations unless they have you donating to a separate user account (Guild Mule).
I'm not a big fan of the whole idea, it's sketchy at best.
