After noticing this it looks like Marowak should be the male version of a Kangaskhan. And it should be a little taller like Kangaskhan.
Same egg group too. But that isn't saying much.

Huh, those are some very interesting similarities. It is possible when they were coming up with chains they made a change of thought about what Butterfree should evolve from so they made a switch. That, or the same artist did both of them. Just like how the same artist could have done kangaskhan and Cubone. I don't think they were meant to be connected, but I have always wondered what's inbetween the baby Khan and the adult mother, as well as where all the males had ran off to.

This reminds me of something I read a while back. Maybe Salamence and Flygon's names were mixed in translation, because when swapped it makes: Bagon, Shelgon, Flygon. Also, seeing as Salamence is a Flying/Dragon type, the name 'Flygon' should fit as it is made from the words 'Flying' and 'Dragon'

Not necessarily- Flygon was named after dragonflies, since you can see the resemblance in Vibrava and signs of it in Flygon itself.

Its possible that Cubone and Kangesghan are not necesarilly the same pokemon, like how some animals are similar but not related. kinda like how two Cheetas dont make a Leopard, even though they look alike.

well it might be right that kangaskan and cubone are related cubone cries about its lost or dead mother an then when you look at that albino kangaroo over there it has a baby in its pouch that looks like a cubone sucking its mothers tits for milk
95% of teens would panic if Edward Cullen was on a 250 foot building about to jump. Copy if you are of the 5% who brings popcorn, a chair, and shouts "DO A FLIP!"

The Cubone thing makes total sense. maybe (if the pokemon people notice it) they'll provide and explanation in the 5th gen. As good a time as any, seeing as they'll probably need to come up with 100 new pokemon. A Kangaskhan Pre-ev than can evolve into either a cubone (through use of a special item) or an in-between evolution before KK would fill up two of those slots.
> Cubone > Marowak
Baby KK
> Teen KK > Kangaskhan
That would be an interesting Evolutionary line.
Also...jjblue, try and be a little more careful with the language. Don't want to see you suspended or banned.
