"I swear, Rayth, it's fine. Nobody hates you."

Rayth, however, wasn't convinced. I knocked a table over and someone stepped on my tail and I ruined it. They hate me, I'm sure of it! And they'll hate you and it's all my fault, and I didn't mean it, Mine, I really, really didn't, you know that, right? Please don't be upset, Mine! I didn't mean to make your family hate you, I just-

"Rayth! Rayth, whoa, whoa, take it easy," B'hec pleaded, rubbing his temples as the pair left the kitchen, retired for the day once the small blue dragon had panicked and taken down the table with all the clean dishware. "No one hates you. My grandmother was just a little upset, okay? It happens to me a lot. She doesn't hate you and she doesn't hate me. And the little children didn't mean to step on you, either, they just didn't see you slinking around, so you've got to be-"

The bluerider collided with someone else in the corridor, cut off mid-sentence as he stumbled backwards, only to be tripped up by his blue scuttling behind him for safety. Rayth creeled and B'hec groaned, rubbing his head as he tried to get his feet underneath him.

"Sorry!" he called to whomever he'd crashed into, "I wasn't...really looking where I was going." After all, Rayth and B'hec were nothing if not two peas in a pod.

H'ex had been walking along, minding his own business as he listened to Tialzieth chatter away behind him - he was recounting his latest tale of how he'd caught a great big fish at the river - and the next thing he knew, he'd been shouldered into the wall and knocked his head against the stone. Grunting, the former farmer turned to glare at the offending person but it didn't last long as Tialzieth bounded over and reared up before his rider, a baby dragon face blocking H'ex's view.

Mine!? Are you okay!? It hurt... I felt it! The bronze mrred worriedly, his wings half opened to help balance him.

I'm alright, Tia. Calm down. It's okay. The rider smoothed a hand over his bonded's head and pushed slightly, making the dragonet go back down to all fours. "I can tell you weren't looking. Perhaps you should." He arched a brow, shaking his head.

Tialzieth, however, had sought out Rayth and as sitting before him with a very 'why did you do that' look on his face... only it was more childish then imposing. His was better at that - Tia wasn't angry, after all, only worried about His. You should have yours be more careful. What if Mine got hurt?

Something stirred deep in B'hec's gut and for the briefest of moments, the baker felt something hot and furious flash alongside the humiliation. Perhaps it was his fault for not looking, but the bronzerider needn't be so curt about it.

Pushing himself upright, the weyrling placed a hand on his blue's back and fixed the stranger with an even look. The smile won out before long, sheepish and sweet as the red flush spread from his cheeks to the tips of his ears. "I'll try to be more careful," the young rider replied, rubbing his nape. The baker struggled to his feet and offered the other rider a hand. "Mine name is B'hec, and this is Rayth."

Rayth, meanwhile, could only gape as Tialzieth approached him. Even if the bronze didn't look imposing at all, the blue still creeled and pressed his wings to his side tightly, tucking his tail beneath him as he tried to sink into the ground. That would be very, very bad, he whimpered, eyes swirling yellow. Mine did not mean it! He is not mean, just Mine, but I will try to make sure he does not bump into Yours ever again. I promise. Rayth quivered. ...sorry.

H'ex saw that flash of indignation and tensed, expecting an exchange of words or a fight. Instead the other broke into a smile after a moment and actually looked embarrassed. That diffused the situation and the bronzerider smiled in return, "H'ex and Tialzieth." He fell quiet, however, as the bronze broadcast his exchange to H'ex and the young rider sighed. Ever the social butterfly he was.

Indeed, Tialzieth's response to the blue's cowering was a look of complete guilt. He crooned back, padding forward with head low to nudge the smaller hatchling's shoulder, I didn't mean to scare you... It's okay. His tail thumped against the ground and he looked to His with a distressed look, Am I that frightening?

H'ex laughed, No, you're not dearest. Letting Tialzieth bury his face in his side, the bronzerider offered a what-can-you-do smile to B'hec, "Sorry."

The bronze had craned his neck around to peer at B'hec and mrred at him, Yes, I am sorry! I did not mean to scare Yours. Rayth just needs to be careful! That's all...
