It's my own adaptation of the Coehorn mortar.
I'm building it in my machine shop class while everyone else is making a brass hammer.

To avoid having my dogs shot/neighbor's house raided, I'll just be using pyrodex and soda cans filled with sand for the time being. wink

4 AM = time to start thinking about bed.

I'm making a blackpowder cannon in my shop class. Sophomores making BP cannons in high-school machine shop FTW. heart

'Course, mine will only end up with a 0.33" diametre, shooting .25" ball bearings. Are you just using cold rolled steel? Fuse ignition?

Not too sure about the steel. My instructors had it sitting in a dark corner and didn't know jack s**t about it.

I'll be using cannon fuse when I'm lazy since I have a couple hundred feet of it. If I feel creative, I'll ******** around with nichrome wire.

About ready to shape and polish. My instructor kinda ruined my pretty crown by bearing down on the chuck. neutral
