I like their music because it sounds good. Some of them invokes heavy emotions.

I especially reccomend Thousand Foot Krutch, Seether, Modern Day Zero, Rise Against and A Perfect Circle as bands.

Fem I like Rise Against, but I dont always agree with their liberal stance. razz

I tend to favor bands that are not only technical, but also have a fast and agressive style. As for rap, I only go for rappers that make sense (I dont think I have to explain why I said that,as its already been said by me numerous times). Here are some albums I recommend...

Bone Thug N Harmony: E 1999 Eternal

Metallica: Kill 'em All, Ride The Lightning.

Megadeth: Peace Sells, But Whos Buying?, Rust In Peace, and Countdown to Extinction.

Gojira: From Mars to Sirius.

Talib Kweli: Quality

In Flames: Lunar Strain (I love the violin in Starforsaken)

Black Star: Mos Def and Talib Kweli are Black Star

Whiplash: Power and Pain

Scar Symmetry: Pitch Black progress, Holographic Universe

Judas Priest: Painkiller

Black Sabbath: Paranoid, Heaven & Hell

Violence: Oppressing the Masses

Evanescence: Fallen

D.R.I.: Dealing With It, Crossover

Eminem: The Marshall Mathers LP

Notorious B.I.G.: Ready to Die

Dark Tranquility: The Minds I

Tupac Shakur: Me Against the World, All Eyes On Me

Strapping Young Lad: City

MF Doom/Danger Doom: Mouse and The Mask, Operation Doomsday, MM Food

Skyclad: The Wayward Sons of Mother Earth

Agnostic Front: Victim in Pain

Atmosphere:When Life Gives You Lemons You Paint That s**t Gold, Lucy Ford (compilation), You cant Imagine How Much Fun Were Having

I don't know much about politics aside from the basics, I haven't been keeping up with politics since Obama became President, I occasionally hear things. I like Rise Against, I'm not totally sure about their stance aside from Bush and getting him out of office and them supporting Obama. I wouldn't go as far as to claim that it's exciting to watch Bush get impeached though and I can't say I agree with Bush's decisions.. but I can always respect his shoe-dodging skills, guy's funny. You've probably heard about the conservative right-wingers in your country 'voicing strong opinions' against your democrats, I'm just wondering how anyone can believe some of the bullshit thrown around by them, Obama is a racist? Naww. xD

Most of these are pretty dark. Screamo kind of puts me off... there are exceptions though. I just tend to go for whatever sounds good to me and what I feel is positive, emotional too. Atmosphere's one of my favorites.

Out of these, I liked Atmosphere, Megadeath, Dark Tranquility and Skyclad.

You might like Pain.

For rappers, I recommend Sage Francis, Jedi Mind Tricks, Blue Scholars, Jean Grae, Immortal Technique, Masta Ace, Pumpkinhead, Magnetic North, KRS One, Cyne. Most people probably already know these though.

Out of those rappers you listed Fem, I only have songs by four of them: Jean grae, Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks and KRS-One. I've never heard of the others, or if I have, I didnt know their names.

And yes the right wingers (or the religious right as I like to call them) are going batshit crazy. I've never seen such an attempt to slander one guy. They've said more about this guy in a year than democrats have said about Bush in two. They have called this guy a socialist, a marxist, and a communist...and the funny thing is, theres nothing Liberal about this guy. I thought he was a centrist when I first saw him. I dont align myself with any political party..and I dont like politicians..but I wonder where all these protestors were hiding when Bush was in office...

Oh and I dont like Pain...they suck.

Same, I don't align myself with any political party either, it's mostly because I hardly pay attention to politics though, I didn't even know Harper was still Prime Minister of Canada. I tend to go with whatever works best, considering morality, people, freedom of speech (there are times where I think freedom of speech can go too far) and necessity. Politicians seem hard to trust these days.. but they're still people, I'm not sure if I like them or not, I guess I don't know them enough to tell. I like politicians who genuinely want to make things better for people though, then again, I can't tell wether they're genuine or not.

I don't know what it is about US politics, the only thing I occassionally pay attention to, is the drama. Nothing really happens with Canadian politics.

Meh, I like Pain, they have a unique sound to em, I don't exactly agree with some of their lyrics though.

That video was full of some of the most paranoid, conspiracy bullshit I've ever seen. Now, I wont say everything in the video was garbage..it made a a few interesting points. I like to look at things from different points of view. Still, I cant help but think "fear tactics" when I see films like that...Besides, the N.W.O is already here...its called the United States government. lol. Our government has ALOT of influence in international affairs. Just look back at the history of the C.I.A. ....they were involved in alot of assassinations and coups during the twentieth century. The Taliban itself is a product of our government. And actually, I cant really say I hate them for doing things like that...it takes careful planning, wits, and cunning to pull s**t like that off. If you want to get to/stay on top, or further your agenda, sometimes you have to resort to "drastic" measures.

And I hate to dissapoint you Fem, but no politician is really for the people. I dont know if Canadian politicians are any different, but Im just speaking from my own experiences.
