Round Three: The Months of the Year

There are twelve of you left. What also has twelve? The months of the year of course! You will all be assigned at random which month you will have to base your TekTek on. Take note on the weather and type of clothes people wear during your month, maybe even base it on a holiday within that month. It's your call. Be creative and 'Make it work!'

~March~

March gains its name from Mars, the Roman god of Battle and of War, here depicted slicing through the chill air of winter with his blade, preparing the way for the forthcoming Spring. His dark, cold armour shows none of the sunshine promised by April and May, and yet the cloud-like plume cresting his helmet is pale, no longer burdened with the rains of winter. The waters around his feet froth with seasonal tempests; the seas and rivers are high and swollen with February downpour, ready to purge the earth of frost and pour eager nourishment into the budding life.

MAY: When I think of May I think of flowers because of several reasons. After all, "April showers bring May flowers." Also, the first of May is May Day, a holiday known for giving away flowers or dancing around the May pole. Mother's Day, another holiday in May is also known for the gift of flowers. So I thought, I'd make a flowery avi. biggrin Since the Lily is the official flower of May, I thought I'd start from there.

September- Back to School
September has come, and it's your first day of high school. Transitioning from the middle school you grew close to and made many friends it to the wilder, hustle-and-bustle of high school is a tough one. The teddy bear pack you have treasured for years shows you still have a juvinille way about you, but that's okay. Your long pigtails your mother and you braided this morning may make students say "Grow up! You're not a kid anymore!", but that's okay. You don't really fit in, which may cause some old friends abandon you, but that's okay too. As you stand in front of the classroom, introduce yourself with your head held high and be proud of who you are. It will be lonely at first, but you will reunite with old friends and make new ones. And who knows, that special someone you've had a crush on for years may begin to notice you in a different way.

The book of middle school is over, and a new one is about to begin. Every September is a new chapter; don't try to read through it too fast, or you may miss the most memorable moments.

I decided to go on a more different route this round. I did more of a goddess look with this look. What I first did was look up august and what it meant. What I found out is August is named after Augustus who was the first ruler of the Roman empire. What August means is strength, love, beauty, and family which comes from the months flower the Gladiolus, which i got some of the pink parts of this avi. The months birthstone being Peridot, which where the greens come from. Of course I made the avi light an airy with the month being one of the hottest of the year. Hopefully you all enjoy.

So when I think of July I think of the Fourth of July when America won their independance. When I think of that I think of the war and the fighting. So that's where the warrior idea came from. July was named after Julius Ceaser so I went with a something with an older warrior. Red and White were also from the idea of Fourth of July.
