According to reports, Shawn Michaels recently did a radio interview where he was quoted as saying he would be retiring after his match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26 this Sunday.
F4WOnline.com is reporting that Michaels sounded calm, but was nervous and stumbling over words at times, finally stating after allegedly letting the cat out of the bag, that he's retiring because that is what "people probably think" due to the storyline in WWE (career vs. the streak).

im still not convinced...unless hbk got "screwed" to lose the match it would be complete ******** bullshit to lose to taker once again. i know his body has taken a hell of a beating over the years but id love to see him as GM or atleast something on tv to stay involved. i cant imagine WWE without him after growing up with him as a part of the organization

Derf_Guy Thats jank because on wwe he said if he loses at wrestalmaniahe would get fired It's called a work. They say that so his last match will be a more nail-biting one. They said the same thing about Jeff Hardy, but he only lost his match because he wanted to leave as well.

Harli the Pervy Sage Silver Ace Revolver HBK got screwed. He should have won... Plus, I lost a bet because of that. Explain to me how he got screwed. Shawn probably really did hand in his notice to Vince about retiring and did this storyline to give him a proper send off Which is why I don't get why 'smarks' are getting upset about it, when they're supposed to know how things work backstage! blaugh

Kingthor2282 do you think he will end up in TNA at some point? as much as I hate to say this....I wouldn't write it off entirely. I would hate HBK forever if he sold out like that but these days you really can't predict anything.

I would hate HBK forever if he sold out like that but these days you really can't predict anything. HBK can stick to his retirement, never wrestling again should he choose. Unlike Flair he hasn't blown all his money! xd

Unlike Flair he is still one of the top wrestlers in the business despite his age. Call it a Mark if your ignorant but the reality is that once again the creative team failed to use a great oppurtunity to puch a young star as HBK retired from the ring. Having another HBK vs Taker was all about money and if they had not wrestled last mania I dont think anyone would consider it so much bullshit (which it is) that he lost to the same man 2 Mania's in a row. They could have used his retirement in a much of a better way
