Lily stood in the park unaware of the clouds rolling across the sky. The wind picked up and she watched as her kite soared the sky the tail whipping about happily. The moment was so very peaceful.

Thunder crashed in the sky causing Lily to jump, eyes wide at the sudden onslaught of a storm. 'Hadn't the weatherman said it was suppose to be sunny today,' she thought as she tried to bring down the kite. The wind picked up violently, blowing Lily's skirt and hair about. Lily could see people scrambling around her, running to saftey. She pulled at the kites spool with all her might, but it would not come down.

Grabbing the string she dropped the spool and tugged, but with the strong wind tearing through the park the kite seemed to tug back, the rope slipping through her finger. She yelped felling the burn of the rope before releasing it.

The kite stood in the sky unmoving, still even in the strong winds. Lily blinked, 'did my kite get bigger,' she wondered for a moment before dismissing it as figment of her imagination. The wind seemed to pick up once more whipping her hair into her eyes as she turned to run for the safety of the nearest building.

Suddenly Lily connect hard with the ground and she could feel something was caught on her ankle. She sat up quickly and was nearly pushed over once more by the wind. She had to fight to keep herself upright and frowned deeply at the situation she was in seeing noticing that her kite string wrapped around her ankle.

It tightened and Lily whinced, fighting hard to untangle the string before the rain came. The string tighted once more cutting into Lily skin. She yelled out as the pain shot up her leg and blood trickled down her shoe.

A shiver ran down her spin and she looked up to see her butterfly kite folded in on itself rather awkwardly and now resembled an enormous cobra in the sky and its ribbon tail had becomea long snakey tongue. Lily froze starring in terror and the cobra kite stuck aiming for her heart.

Lily snapped to, rolling to avoid the attack and scrambling for her henshin pen, as the cobra kite hit the ground dazed for a moment.

"Maia power make-up," she shouted as soon as she found it.

In a flash she was Sailor Maia and her boot now gave her protection from the rope, but her ankle still stung badly. The cobra kite was poised for attack once more, moving about in the wind, odd cloth eyes trained on Maia for a moment before it struck.

Maia rolled again, but the cobra kite sliced her arm cutting through her sleeve leaving a red angry mark. She did not have time to worry about the pain. She was tied to the kite and the snake would stirke again soon. Maia struggled to break the string while the snake prepared to strike with little success.

The snake lurched forward and Maia barely rolled awake in time, hunched over in a ball still fighting to release herself from the string, her henshin pen still in hand. As the snake recoiled again, Maia realized her escape and slashed her pen across the rope. The cobra kite flailed about wildly and the gears still turning in her head, she took advantage of the moment.

"Sweet Melody," she called out the notes coming to her quickly as she opened her mouth to sing. The notes came forth appearing in the sky in flying toward the snake surrounding it, and soothing the savage beast. The cobra kite went lank, for a moment.

'Now what," thought Maia looking around for something, anything to attack the snake with. Spotting a fallen branched she headed for it, pushing against the wind in an attempt to reach the precious object.

The cobra kite stirred as the effects of Maia song wore off and its tail lurched out and grabbed Maia, wrapping tightly around her entirty.

Maia screamed as she was lurched from the ground hanging upside down in the sky, face to face with certain death. The snake struck boring into her heart, she could feel the darkness taking her, tears streaming down her face. 'Someone, anyone, please help me,' she thought as her exsistance faded.

Lily lurched and hit the ground hard, whincing at the pain in the ankle, her arm, and her racing heart. She was bathed in a cold sweat and she seemed to be upside down, her feet in the air. 'Had'nt she been in the park?'

Lily groaned loudly as she righted herself leaning heavily on her hands. Pain shout up her left arm and she had to fight to keep herself from crying out as she climbed to her feet and nearly fell once more.

If she had been dreaming then why was she in so much pain. It was all to real, so very real. Her heart continued to race, giving hard shuddering beats in her aching chest. She stumble to her door and headed for the living room turning every light on as she went.

These nightmares were getting to be to much for her, she needed sleep, but tonight would begin her refusal to do so.
